Two hundred years have now elapsed since this Restoration was initiated by God the Father and His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ.
The Living Christ
P7 S2
"For we saw him, even on the right hand of God; and we heard the voice bearing record that he is the Only Begotten of the Father -
It was around 7 a.m. when we left for the valley this morning. No stopping until we got to Payson where we stopped for gas. Gas was $2.89 in Payson and $2.99 in the valley. The first stop we made in the valley was at Chandler Auto Body to get the phone charger out of James's truck. We are in the rental car and we have no charger. Since we were in Chandler we decided to go out to Stacy's and pick up my coat that she had dry cleaned and the eyelash growth serum she ordered for me. No one was home except Paul.
Since we were close by and it was almost lunch time and we were hungry we went to Jersey Mike's. I love their sandwiches! We ate in the car and headed for Mesa where James had an appointment with someone Salvador found who wants to build a duplex. James either has to draw the plans or find someone else to do them. The guy knows what he wants and the meeting didn't take long. From here we headed for Tempe to see Lois and Dawn.
Lois was in good spirits but I guess she has had a rough two weeks. I'm glad she is feeling better. Lois showed me the cards she has made in their card making class. Lots of birthday cards. She is very creative. Last time I saw Dawn's cards. They invited me to join in on this Friday. We had a nice visit but did not stay too long because James was anxious to get over to Mario's. Mario sent him pictures of some touchup work that needs to be done on both houses.
Mario was home, with his girlfriend but he directed James to the other house where most of the work needs to be done. The funny this is, the two houses are very close to each other. Mario lives in one and his ex-wife lives in the other. Mario told James not to tell his ex-wife about his girl friend. Mario sold his house in Chandler for $950,000 and now wants to build some apartments and would like James to do the building. He said he did not want Alberto working for him. I had already told James the same thing. Mario said that Alberto is all talk and I agree.
I left James to his work and took the car over to Stapley and down to Southern to the Walmart store. I wanted some green socks and to look at purses. I finally found some socks and a cheap handbag in the size I wanted so I bought it. The leather one I found on Amazon was too big and to expensive. I went back to Mario's and took a nap in the car while James finished up. It was 80 degrees today, which is nice, but a little too warm for me.
James dropped me off at AARA for my infusion. I was a few minutes early but Frances took me right back. Tiffany did my infusion and took blood. I had an appointment with Dr. Kumar's PA Edith. I told her about my sciatic pain but she said she could not give me anything stronger than Tramadol for pain. I told her I had an appointment at Sonoran Spine next week and she said they would be able to give me something stronger for pain. I finished my infusion and James was outside waiting for me. We drove across the street to Costco and I went in and got some chicken street tacos out of the ready to serve case. We got them a few months ago and they are delicious.
Bishop Hunsaker asked us to go by and see Jean Howard who is staying at her daughter Deana's in Gilbert. I called Deana and she said we were welcome to come. She lives in a gated condo community just north of Williams Field Rd. on San Tan Blvd (Greenfield). Deana, Hunter, Hunter's boyfriend and Jean were at home. Jean was sitting on the couch covered with two blankets. She has lost so much weight she probably only weighs about 90 lbs. Deana says they have tried everything to get her to eat. Jean says her stomach bothers her. I think she has some kind of eating disorder. She promised me she would eat and I told her I would be back to see her next Monday for her birthday. She kept giving me big hugs and told me I was her only friend from Vernon. I reminded her that the Hunsaker's were her friends and she agreed. She also told me quietly that she felt like she was a prisoner. She started to complain about Anthony but Deana stopped her. I am worried about what is going to happen to Jean if she doesn't start eating. She is wasting away. Deana says she is taking 3 kinds of pills to help her eat but nothing seems to work.
After saying our goodbye's we headed home the Globe way. Since Burger House is closed on Monday's we stopped at Guayo's El Rey in downtown Miami for dinner. I had a bean burro because I heard their beans were good but they were just okay, not nearly as good as La Casita's. I ate half my bean burro and took the rest home. James had a green chili mixed chimichanga. He said it wasn't that great either. We were a little disappointed.
It was 9:45 when we got home. Chuck fed Luna this evening. We put things away and I changed in to my comfy clothes and sat on the recliner. James did some walking. I was just too tired. It was good to be home and relax.
I also have one written in leather journals.
