I slept on the recliner because of my sciatic nerve which causes pain all the way down my leg. I am pretty miserable. 

James went to town and brought me back a burrito supreme from Taco Bell for lunch. Bless him for that. I watched some old Hallmark movies while he was gone. 

I had a movie on this evening called "Love, Fall, and Order" that was filmed in Utah. It was supposed to be Vermont but we could tell it wasn't because of the mountains in the background.

There really isn't much to write on a day when I did not do very much. I did schedule the timeshare for the week of our anniversary. 

We got our Christmas gift from Jared and Kacey today in the mail. It's a book called, "Sundays with Charlie" and has all the pictures for the past year that Kacey took of Charlie on Sundays. It is the best gift we could have gotten, my favorite gift this year. Thank you so much!

"Come Follow Me" was supposed to be at the Goodman's tonight but got cancelled because they were with relatives who had been around people who had Covid and now they have to be quarantined.

James fixed ham, green beans and mashed potatoes for dinner. Delicious!

Sheri told us that our friend Tammy Wilson's mom passed away from complications with Covid today. We are so very sorry for Tammy and her family.

My sciatic nerve pain was bad enough today that I stayed home from church and watched the meeting on Zoom. When James got home he administered and passed the sacrament to me. 

Today was testimony meeting and I enjoyed Owen Peeler's testimony the very most. 

I cannot sit very well without being in pain, so I laid back on the recliner and watched TV. 

I talked to the kids today about starting a "Come Follow Me" study group which would include the kids. I wanted to do it once a week but it looks like it is going to be once a month. We will limit the time to one Zoom broadcast, which is around 40 minutes. Our first one will be next week. I am looking forward to it.

James did indexing today and ministering interviews. He was a good example to me today as to what we should do on the sabbath day. He also made me a delicious lunch of leftover steak, salad and mashed potatoes. This evening for dinner I made grilled cheese and soup.

James and I set some goals together today. I must have been really out of it because I did not write them down. I hope James did. 

We thought Alex broke his leg this evening but it turned out to be a bad sprain. He went to Urgent Care and got a boot. They will not dispense pain meds at an Urgent Care. I never knew.

Becoming as Jesus Christ is will require changing our hearts and minds, indeed, our very character, and doing so is possible only through the saving grace of Jesus Christ.

Three of the original twelve Apostles - Peter, James, and John - restored the apostleship and keys of priesthood authority.

I am loving this Tens machine that Trina got me for Christmas. It sends electrical impulses through my body and relieves some of the pain from my sciatic nerve. I use the Tens machine first thing, eat something and take some pain meds and the take a shower to get my day and body started.

Kaitlyn, Adam, and Joshua are going home today. Yesterday they said they would be leaving around 5 p.m. For some reason Adam changed his mind and decided to leave earlier. Kaitlyn said she wanted to stay and spend the day relaxing but since Adam was driving it was his decision. I'm not sure why he wanted to leave. They bought so much food at Walmart and barely used any of it. 

Kaitlyn said she has taken unopened food back before so that's what they were going to try to do before going home. They left around 1:30. Adam said they would like to come back on his birthday.

The first thing I did after our company left and we had the place to ourselves, was to read to James from our new book, "Tres Leches Cupcakes". Here is the description on the back of this culinary mystery book by Josi S. Kilpack:

James starts his fast. I am taking pain pills for my sciatic nerve so I ate a little food. We watched the new winter Hallmark movie for this week, "Taking a Shot at Love", starring Alexa Penavega and Luke McFarlane. It was a good way to start the New Year for us and Hallmark.
