"Spiritually Defining Moments"
Elder Neil L. Andersen
"Along with the peaceful direction we receive from the Holy Ghost, from time to time, God powerfully and very personally assures each of us that He knows us and loves us and that He is blessing us specifically and openly. Then, in our moments of difficulty, the Savior brings these experiences back into our mind. Remembering these spiritually defining experiences takes us to our knees, declaring as did the Prophet Joseph: 'What I received was from heaven. I know it, and I know that God knows that I know it.'"

James left this morning to check on the job. When I got up I checked on the deposit we made yesterday. It had been deposited into the personal account and then withdrawn, saying a mistake had been made. I finally managed to set up a phone meeting with someone at the bank where we made the deposit. The meeting is set up at 11 a.m. when James will be back.

When Mr. Nelson from the bank called he asked to speak with James Lambson so I am glad James was there. What it all boils down to is, the check was made out to Lambson Construction and must be deposited in the Lambson Construction account. Mr. Nelson said the check would be returned within 7 days. That will not do. James said he would just have Mr. Chacon write another check. The banker agreed that would work.

James went back to Mesa and got a new check and stood in a long line to deposit it, but the deed is done. He also delivered birthday cards to Brian and Dallin. He took Dallin's to Stacy's and put it by the front door. He also brought back a case of water and some drinks for me.

The boys did not get up in time to swim this morning but they did swim all afternoon until 4:30. Around 5 I asked them what they wanted to eat for dinner. Evan asked if there was a Shake Shack close by. He said they have the best hamburgers he has ever tasted.
I checked and there is one within three miles of the resort. I downloaded their app and placed my order, 3 cheeseburgers and 3 orders of fries. I drove to the location but could not find curbside pickup. That's because you have to get out of your car and walk to the front of the restaurant and get in the curbside pickup line. I always thought curbside pickup was done from your car. Anyway, I picked up the order and then while I was driving back I realized they ordered nothing on their cheeseburgers and I had failed to place the order that way. When I got back to our room I very quietly opened up each burger and scrapped the sauce, tomato and lettuce off the buns and put the burgers back in the wrapper. I then delivered them to the boys. A few minutes later I stuck my head in their room and asked how the food was. Evan looked at me and said, "Soooo good."

The boys play basketball, watch TV, play video games, eat and drink rootbeer in their room. I work on my blog, study the gospel, and walk. James works on his computer, takes naps, eats dark chocolate raspberry sorbet bars, and watches "Lark Rise to Candleford" with me on my phone.

James and I spent the morning in Paypal hell. I knew I disliked Ebay and now I dislike Paypal too. Armando did a job for the City of Chandler and he used James's license. Now the city wants to pay for services and they asked if we could send them an invoice via Paypal. We had an account set up in James's name so we sent the invoice with the name Lambson Construction on the invoice we created.  As we checked out what the city received the top of the invoice said KJBookBuys. What? I do not remember setting up a Paypal account for my book business. Well obviously the City of Chandler could not accept this invoice so we were back to square one.

This first thing I did was set up a new email for James, jameslambson23@gmail.com is the new email address. I got it all set up and established a new Paypal business account under this email. James sent the new invoice and when Tyrone at the City of Chandler received it, he immediately paid the invoice. Now Paypal has our money stuck in limbo. We, somehow, have to prove that we provided the service to deserve being paid. Why? Isn't the fact that the city sent us the money proof enough. Oh yes, and it says because we are new it is going to take up to 7 days to receive the money. The reason we wanted to use Paypal was to expedite the payment process. Paypal hell.

James spoke with Paul this morning. He says he feels good except for a slight headache. He is grateful that he can work from home and still be on the payroll at Amazon. James had sent him a video about a doctor in Dallas who says she has a medicine that has cured all of her Covid 19 patients. Paul said he would listen to it. Paul also said that Jared Ammon woke up sick so they are having him tested along with Adam tested again and Stacy tested. Michael is staying at Kim and Brian's because he is going with them to San Diego on Saturday. I'm not sure why they haven't mentioned having Joshua tested. Maybe he isn't old enough, I don't know.

The boys got up at 11:30 and had breakfast. Everyone except Evan had breakfast. He doesn't eat unless there is something he really likes. After eating they all went down to go swimming.

James had forgotten to deposit the $27,790.77 check that Mario gave him yesterday. We drove to the nearest Chase Bank and of course the office was closed so we had to use the ATM. To use the ATM you need a debit card. Lambson Construction does not have a debit card so we deposited the money into the personal account using my debit card. The machine accepted the deposit and gave us a receipt. We thought nothing more about it.

We went to Walmart near the Chase to get some things for the boys. Sheri gave me $100 and Trina gave me $50. Max made me a grocery list. Bagels and cream cheese, bread, lunchmeat and cheese and Barq's rootbeer. He also wanted me to get a couple of balls to play with in the pool and some pool noodles.  No Barq's rootbeer so I got Mug and IBC. I also got a tub of Nestle's cookie dough so I could make cookies and birthday cards for Ian, Brian, Dallin, and Ruby.

James had a meeting with Salvador this evening about bidding some jobs. The boys wanted NYPD pizza for dinner so I had James pick it up before he left for his meeting. They have the biggest pizzas I've ever seen. I got two large pepperoni's and a dozen garlic knots. The boys were in heaven. James had one piece of pizza and I had one piece and a garlic knot and the boys ate the rest.

While James was gone I walked, studied and blogged. When he returned we watched a Dr. TenPenny talk about the biggest hoax ever perpetrated, Covid 19. She is anti-vaccine and she says when they develop the vaccine they will make everybody get it. It was interesting. James shared it with Stacy and Paul.

"Lark Rise to Candleford" before bed and family prayer with the boys. I told them the pool schedule for tomorrow. They can swim from 8-12 and 12:30-4:30 but not at night.

Happy 15th Birthday Emmy!

I don't have any pictures on my new computer
here at the timeshare. I will have to wait until I
get home to post a picture.

Spent the morning working on my blog, paying a bill, and studying. "You cannot be better than what you know."

At ten o'clock we left for my infusion appointment which was at 10:45. Frances called me right back and Ang started my infusion with no problems. I was in and out before noon. James said he was twenty minutes away so I crossed the highway and waited for him at Freddy's when I was finished. I ordered a small diet Dr. Pepper and a Chicago dog. Just as I got my order, James walked in. He helped me eat the Chicago dog and then we were on our way. We had planned on stopping at Elmer's Tacos for lunch so I called in our order. The Chicago dog was just an appetizer. We ordered two machaca tacos, a machaca burro, three bean and cheese burros, and an order of strips. Elmer's had set up a drive-thru outside. We drove up, told them the name the order was under, and we were finished within less than five minutes.

From Elmer's we drove to Darrel's to pick up Ruby and Lola to take them back with us to the timeshare. Addy and Rowan were both doing things with friends, Addy was going to Sun Splash. Ruby had a friend over, Chloe. We shared lunch with Darrel, Ruby, Lola, and Chloe. Rowan and Addy did not want anything. Trina was at work today.

After lunch I went in to use Darrel's printer to print out the label for the book that I sold and have to ship by tomorrow. The name of the book is, "The Art of the Long View" by Peter Schwartz. I tried to find this book at a local bookstore but it is too old and the ranking is around 14 million so no one had it in stock. James said he would go to Vernon and get it tomorrow and mail it. This might sound extreme but my reputation as a bookseller on Amazon is at stake. It is not the money that I will make from selling the book, but my reputation that matters.

We loaded up the girls and headed for Scottsdale. After unloading at the timeshare we went back to shop at Walmart. It was a little after five and Walmart was closed. What is going on? I would have imagined they would close by seven, but five? We drove through Chik-fil-a and got the girls some dinner and then we drove over to Fry's on north Hayden. Thank goodness it was open.

We bought peanut butter and jam, white and wheat bread, cherries, Captain Crunch cereal, goggles, and donut tubes for the pool. We also got frozen cheese pizza, macaroni and cheese, Sprite, and mint chocolate chip Blue Bell ice cream.

Back at the timeshare in rooms 1016 and 1015 we colored butterflies in our new coloring book. Ruby took a shower and then helped Lola take her shower. It was her first. Ruby is such a good sister. Oh one thing about Ruby I forgot to mention. She has lost her glasses so she has been squinting a lot. Lola wanted to call her mom and dad and tell them all about the room. We FaceTimed and she gave them a tour. She showed them the puppy towel on the bed and how Ruby ate the eyes. She showed them the patio, and told how the couch makes in to a bed. I am sure they were riveted in their seats with the thrill of it all. I love seeing things through the eyes of a child. They have such an appreciation for the simplest of things.

We had family prayer together and then the girls laid in bed and watched TV while I walked and then watched "Lark Rise to Candleford" with James. I kept thinking they would go to sleep. When they didn't, I went in and told them to turn the TV off after the show they were watching. It was late when we all went to bed.

Lola was afraid of the water a couple of
years ago. Now she swims like a fish.

James bought a yellow watermelon.
It was quite tasty.
