"There are very few big and spectacular miracles in most of our lives.  But it is a quiet multitude of little miracles that makes life sweet and adds to our testimonies."
Majorie P. Hinckley

James and I left at 7:15 to pick up Addy, Rowan, and Ruby at Bryce and Lexy's.  Trina is gone to Colorado with her mom, dad, Bryce, and Westley to see Tristan's baby blessed.  Darrel is at work.  We picked them up and went immediately to the soccer game.

The Three Musketeers: Evan, Joshua, and Rowan.
Paul and Sheri are already there.  Stacy had a dental hygiene job with her friend Janice today.  Taylor's dad was the substitute coach for Trina.  Rowan stopped several goals as goalie.  Sheri and I thought he should be the MVP.  Evan worked hard and Joshua is learning the game.
These two really do love each other.
A random picture of Addy since I didn't get one of her at the game.
I think there is a story behind this picture.  Addy spent the night with Kayla last night and instead of going to sleep they took "selfies."

Trina took a picture of Lola and Tristan's baby Ria.  I guess Lola "dirtied" all of her clothes and this was the result.

She is cute with or without clothes!
We came home after the game and I made bacon and waffles.  Addy and Ruby don't like bacon but Rowan does.  They all loved the waffes.  Grandpa enjoyed both the bacon and waffles.

For lunch I took Rowan, Addy, Ruby, Joshua, and Evan to Peter Piper Pizza.  Sheri, Alex, Ben, Max, and Seth joined us later.
The boys got Ruby a princess crown with some of their tickets.
James was reading from his Jon Huntsman book when I got home from Peter Piper.  I asked him if he would watch the kids while I went to find a movie.  He only lasted about an hour and he was ready to go back to work fixing his tractor.

I got the movie "The Box Trolls."  It actually turned out to be a pretty good movie.

Ruby and Addy loved snacking on my Honey Crisp apples before Darrel got here to pick them up.  Rowan, Evan, and Joshua loved playing together.  I didn't fix dinner the kids dinner because Darrel promised he would take them out to eat.  Addy wants to go to Cheesecake Factory.

This evening Ian took Sheri out to eat at the Thirsty Lion.  As a surprise some of her friends were there.  Kim and Brian didn't get to go because Brian was very sick.  Kim bought Sheri "the" Costco chocolate cake and we all went down, along with Chelsea Elmer to sing to her.  Sheri got three cakes for her birthday.
Can you see the disco ball in the background?
For dinner at our house James made steak and gravy and I made biscuits.  Stacy, Paul, and Alex enjoyed it with us.

James made steak and gravy for the boys for breakfast and I made some biscuits.  I guess I should say I took some frozen biscuits out of the freezer and put them in the oven.  It was a very tasty breakfast.  Alex says it is his favorite.

The boys started on a walk for Chocolate Lake but didn't last long.  This time they said it was too hot.

James and I made a trip to town.  We went to Safeway.  The one big reason we go to Safeway instead of Walmart is because they have a coleslaw salad kit that we love.  We also went to Auto Zone to get a tire plug kit to fix the flat tire on the Ranger.  We went to Show Low Motorsports to look at the Razr4 we want to get.  We still haven't made a final decision.  Also we picked up a couple of pizzas from Pappa John's.  I got the veggie supreme because James and I like it and I got a pepperoni for the boys and some breadsticks.  To say the boys were happy was an understatement.

James fixed the tire on the Ranger so the boys took it to Chocolate Lake.  After their ride they came home and watched the movie, "That Thing You Do", which is kind of a tradition for them here at the cabin.  They also watched "Parental Guidance."

James cleaned some bullets and then he and I watched an episode of the Walton's.  We are also doing some serious thiking as to whether we should buy that Razr.

Tonight we went to a potluck dinner our ward was having at the Vernon Park.  We took a big batch of coleslaw.  The boys weren't too interested in staying so James took them home early and then came back to join me for the entertainment, which was open mike karoke.  Here are some pictures I took:

Teresa Smith taught some of the young women how to line dance. She couldn't make it tonight because she flew back to Ohio to be with her mother who is dying.  The girls were going to be dancing with some of the guys from the fire station but it was getting late and they still hadn't performed so James and I went home.

Happy New Year!

James made steak, gravy and biscuits for our New Year's breakfast.  This time he had to use round steak instead of venison.
During breakfast Anna, Emmy, and Addy played a game of Clue.
Not sure what Emmy is looking at.
So glad that Addy and Ruby got to play with their cousins.
Glad that James got to hang out with Joe, Michael, and Alex.
Eating is always a favorite pastime.
Tricia at the drums.  Rockband rocks!
Jared on drums.
Molly loves Darrel.  She calls him Ruby's Dad.
Emmy on drums.
James without a shirt on drums.
Before Jared and Trica left Molly and Ruby went outside to play in the snow.
Ruby's first layer.
Ruby's second layer.
Jared and Tricia were nice enough to leave their kids snow clothes for Darrel's kids to wear.
Molly ready to introduce Ruby to the snow.
Mollly wants to"snuggle."
Ruby is excited about the snow.  She loved it!!
There they go.  Molly kept saying to Ruby: "Be careful
now cuz it's slippery."
Ruby ventures out on her own.
Molly in her hat with her baby.
Molly on the Cat.
Jared left for El Paso today and Tricia and the kids left for the valley to visit family.  We certainly will miss them.  We had a great time with them while they were here.
The "big guys" ready for the snow.
Sean, Kilee, and Holly Hunsaker invited out family to go out with them to the pit with their snowmobiles. Grandpa James, Alex, Michael, Joe, Darrel, Addy, Rowan and Ruby got to go.  It's a shame that Jared's family missed out on this fun.  Maybe next time.
 Looks like Rowan and friends.
Rowan really wanted to build a snowman.

The kids had such a fun time!
Kim and Brian got here just as everyone got home from playing in the snow.  Darrel's kids were so happy to see them!
