"Knowing, Loving, and Growing"
Elder Hans T. Boom
"We are experiencing some of the same difficulties that Joseph Smith confronted while he was 'in the midst of a war of words and tumult of opinions.' As we read in his own account, he often said to himself: 'What is to be done? Who of all these parties are right; or, are they all wrong together? If any one of them be right, which one is it, and how shall I know it?'
With the knowledge he found in the Epistle of James, which states, 'If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him,' Joseph 'at length came to the determination to ask of God.'"

We had about 15 elk out in our field this morning. We love watching them!

James says it was 26 degrees this morning and the high was only going to be around 32. He's my weatherman. He went out without a hat or gloves and just a thin jacket and came right back in. He bundled up and went out, I am sure to check on the bunnies, and came in just a few minutes later. For someone who likes living up here he does not like the cold.

I blogged, did a little cleaning, and bought books this morning.

James got a message from Liberty Mutual saying that our home owners insurance was going to expire on the 29th because of lack of payment. Our mortgage company, Quicken Loans, is supposed to be paying our premium. I thought they were paying on a monthly basis but I guess not because LM says we owe over $2,600.
James immediately called Quicken Loans to find out what was going on. Tom is on the case and will get back to James by 5 p.m. tomorrow. The problem is they only have $2,200 in the escrow account which isn't enough for the yearly payment to Liberty.

It took me forever to finish my blog post this morning. My photo app on my computer freezes up from time to time. When I wash finished I took a reading and relaxation break. Right now I am reading, "Aunt Dimity Down Under," "The Heavens are Open," and "Revelations in Context." The last one if the stories behind the revelations in the Doctrine and Covenants. It goes right along with my study of the Restoration.

My book buying and getting my steps went clear in to the afternoon. I had to buy 6 books today because I didn't buy any yesterday. I also had to pay my Amazon Store card because it was maxed out. I raised the limit to $1,000 and used the $600 I received from Amazon to pay down the Amazon Store card. I use this card because I get a 5% discount on everything bought from Amazon. Actually that's all the card can be used for is Amazon purchases.

After I finished buying books James and I had a simple dinner of corn and toast and then I went in to set up our new printer. Since it is a wireless printer I had to make sure the printer and my computer were on the same internet. It wasn't working and I checked. The printer was on the jetpack and the computer was on the 4G so I had to switch out and get on the jetpack. After I did that it was an easy setup. I also ordered enough ink to make 300 copies for $9.99. Thanks Kacey for telling me about this program!

I ran off a few handouts for our "CFM" on Sunday and then went in to study the scriptures, 2 Nephi 26:20-33. I forgot about the five verses in 27 and will have to do those tomorrow. I also have been forgetting to do Inklings. This week we are supposed to be reading JS-History 1:1-13. I did listen to Saints Volume 1 chapter 25.

James was going to go to the valley today but since he lost his license plate he had to go in to Show Low to get a new one. He called me and told me his new license plate starts with the letter CTR. I told him that was a reminder to Choose the Right.

I wish you could buy these!

Last years fall colors, aren't quite to this point this year.
Sheri's quote:
"We need not worry if we can't simultaneously do all of the things
that the Lord has counseled us to do.  He has spoken of a time and a
season for all things.  In response to our sincere prayers for guidance, He will direct us in what should be emphasized at each phase of our life.  We can learn, grow, and become like Him one
consistent step at a time."
-Elder Richard G. Scott
The one thing I miss about being here in Vernon is the soccer games.
Kruby is the nickname for these two.
Soccer buddies forever!
Kruby's cheerleaders!
Ivy and Lola.
 So proud of you Addy!
Love this girl!
 Miss Molly, the soccer star!
I love this story Jared posted and couldn't help sharing it!
The pictures to go with the story.
We had to go into town today to get a new printer because the one we have here bit the dust and James needs to scan and send some tax papers to our accountant.  On the way home we stopped to talk to Kathy and Chuck Crane who were out walking their dog.  Chuck had a broken arm.  Something about pushing an ATV too hard.  They won't be going to stake conference because he can't get his shirts on over his cast.
We missed the evening session of stake conference for the first time since I can remember.  We wanted to spend the time with Kim and Brian.  Kim and I watched "A Country Wedding" starring Autumn Reeser and Jesse Metcalf.  The four us watched "Harvest Moon."  James loved it!

Gospel Study Notes
"Be thou humble and the Lord thy God shall lead thee by the hand, and give thee answer to thy prayers.
D&C 112:10
"Wherefore, be not weary in well-doing, for ye are laying the foundation of a great work.  And out of small things proceedeth that which is great."
D&C 64:33
"Children born or adopted into the lineage of Israel are placed there because of the role they will play in serving others.  They were faithful and strong before this life, and marked for greatness here because of their former greatness."(RWC)
"Our children's divine positioning is intended to allow them to fulfill the roles their choices in the premortal realm prepared them for - To prepare the world for the 2nd coming of the Savior. (RWC)
"A prayer for strength never goes unanswered.  Dare to reach.  It is within those reaching moments that we come to know the Lord. (Becoming His, p. 29)

James and I went in to town this afternoon.  We had lunch at LaCasita.  Charlotte wasn't there so I couldn't work my missionary magic on her.  Afterwards I went shopping at Walmart while James went to Home Depot.  Walmart was insace, I guess because it's the first Friday of the month.  I had to buy a new printer because our old one went kaput!

It was cold today and is only going to get colder the next couple of days.  It's suppose to snow tomorrow and Sunday.  I don't mind the cold as long as I'm cozy and warm at home, which I am, most of the time.  Thanks goodness for space heaters though because the heater in our bedroom still doesn't work.

We didn't have dinner, just snacks because of our late lunch.  I ordered my Christmas present this evening.  It's a purple Kitchen Aid mixer.  I am so excited!

Our Christmas movie this evening was "Let It Snow" starring Candace Cameron and Alan Thicke.
