Jesus Christ, King

April General Conference
"The Great Plan"
President Dallin H. Oaks
"In the Council in Heaven, all the spirit children of God were introduced to the Father's plan, including its mortal consequences and trials, its heavenly helps, and its glorious destiny. We saw the end from the beginning. All of the myriads of mortals who have been born on this earth chose the Father's plan and fought for it in the heavenly contest that followed. Many also made covenants with the Father concerning what they would do in mortality. In ways that have not been revealed, our actions in the spirit world have influenced our circumstances in mortality."

I will be a good teacher today.

We had "Church" with Darrel's family today. Our opening song was "I Need Thee Every Hour." Trina gave the opening prayer and our sacrament hymn was "I Stand All Amazed." James and Darrel blessed the sacrament and Rowan passed. We all sat around the dining room table and after the sacrament we had our "Come Follow Me" discussion on Mosiah 25-28. At the end of the discussion we watched the Book of Mormon video about Alma the Younger being Born Again. After we were finished I said the closing prayer. What a nice time we had together.

After lunch and rest time Addy made a cake and then cookies. The cake was a poppy seed lemon with strawberry filling and cream cheese lemon frosting. It was delicious. The cookies were nice and plump chocolate chip cookies.

We ate outside on the patio and Darrel
saddled up Luna for the kids to ride.

Trina washed all of the sheets and put them back on the beds and
cleaned and vacuumed with the children helping. I do appreciate all that she did.

Just before Darrel's family left Jared called on Face Time and Charlie got to see some of her cousins along with Olaf. The kids found some bunnies and they brought one in for Charlie to see. Charlie was entertained for quite some time.
I look forward to Face Timing every week. James had to take the family picture of Darrel's family before they left.

We so loved having Darrel's family here. The kids are so good and we love them so much. They made it safely home. The house was so quiet after they left.

At 6 pm we had our family group study with Jared, Kacey, Sheri, Kim and Brian via Zoom. James was in charge of the discussion on Obedience. We love this part of our Sabbath day. James was most impressed with Kim and Jared's comments. Stacy said she could not participate because she was flat in bed. She is going to have a procedure done on her back on June 2nd.

Today was a wonderful Sabbath day spent with family.

Love this!

A little disappointed in the picture
James took. Because of the sun I wish
he would have gone inside in front of
the fireplace.

Jesus Christ, Divine Sonship
DC 76:25
And this we saw also, and bear record, that an angel of God who was in authority in the presence of God, who rebelled against the Only Begotten Son whom the Father loved and who was in the bosom of the Father, was thrust down from the presence of God and the Son,

General Conference
The True, Pure, and Simple Gospel of Jesus Christ
M. Russell Ballard
"Loving God and loving our neighbors is the doctrinal foundation of ministering, home-centered, Church-supported learning; Sabbath-day spiritual worship; and the work of salvation."

It was an absolutely beautiful spring day in the 60's. Best of all, there was no wind. I know this but didn't really experience it except for looking from the inside out. My day was spent watching general conference and working on catching up this blog.

Here is how conference went today:

Sunday Morning Session

19. Dale G. Renlund
20. Sharon L. Eubank
21. Quentin L. Cook
22. D. Todd Christofferson
23. Tad R. Callister
24. Russell M. Nelson

Sunday Afternoon Session

25. Dallin H. Oaks
26. Juan Pablo Villar
27. Gerrit W. Gong
28. David A. Bednar
29. Kyle S. McKay
30. Ronald A. Rasband
31. Russell M. Nelson

It was an inspiring and faith-filled day.

During Elder Gong's talk a stained-glass picture of the Savior holding a sheep came up on the screen. This exact stain-glassed is in the foyer of the Snowflake temple. Recently we had a visitor to the temple that James spoke to. He was touring the temples in the United States looking for this stained-glass picture which is also in the Provo City Center temple. When he walked into the Snowflake temple on this particular Saturday he looked at the picture and said, "There it is I have been looking everywhere, and here it is."

The only changes for this conference came a few days before conference regarding the blessing and baptism of children of gay couples. It was a decision rescinding a policy made in 2015 and was done as, I believe, an act of love.

James gave me the bunny report first thing this morning and brought two of them inside for me to see.

See they will be going out into the lone and dreary world.

The smaller ones are pretty mild.

I wish we could keep one.

 I know, I'm obsessed!
It's my personality.

She listened to President Nelson,
then it was time for a nap, and then,
 a ride on her horse.

A Hallmark movie to end the day.
