We do not build or enter holy temples solely to have a memorable individual or family experience. Rather, the covenants received and the ordinances performed in temples are essential to the sanctifying of our hearts and for the ultimate exaltation of God's sons and daughters.

Inklings

We had a good steady rain today. It was great!

I love how it smells here when
it rains!

We were eating lunch when it started to rain and the electricity went off so we ate in the dark. Thank goodness it was only off for about 30 minutes.

James took a short rest after lunch and then went into town to get some supplies for his various projects. He wanted me to go but I reminded him that I had an appointment to go see Cammy and then I was going in to town to get ingredients for the dinner I am making for the Goodman's tomorrow. I did hurry and get my shipment of books ready so he could take it to the UPS store.

I made rice krispy treats to take to the Grapp's. The first batch didn't turn out the way I wanted so I made another batch. I took the last batch to the Grapp's and I ate the first batch...not all at once but I ate them all because James doesn't even like rice krispy treats.

Leland loved his finger puppets and little monster trucks. He is the cutest little boy. Why do I always forget to take pictures of him?

Liana took the "Come Follow Me" lesson helps and rice krispy treats.

On the way in to town I listened to my new audio book on Deseret Book Plus, "Promises and Primroses."  Walmart was Walmart so I got in and out as quickly as I could.  I bought stuff for the Goodman's and us to have baked ziti, salad, french bread, and strawberry shortcake. I also got some things to send to Charlie for her birthday since I am sending Molly her birthday present I thought it would be fun for Charlie to have a box to open too. Her birthday is August 27th and Molly's is August 8th.

James said the guys started the framing for the patio in Peoria today. He seems pretty happy with the pictures they sent.

This evening I watched Dave and Emily talk about Alma 36-38 in their latest "Don't Miss This" episode.

Happy 19th Birthday Summer!

Jesus Christ, Firstborn
Revelations 1:11
Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.
Book of Mormon
Alma 37:26-47
New Testament"The Lord Had Called Us For to Preach the Gospel"

The Atonement of Jesus Christ
Tad R. Callister
"Truman G. Madsen made this comforting observation:
'If there are some of you who have been tricked into the conviction that you have gone too far, ... that you have had the poison of sin which makes it impossible ever again to be what you could have been - then hear me.
'I bear testimony that you cannot sink farther than the light and sweeping intelligence of Jesus Christ can reach. I bear testimony that as long as there is one spark of the will to repent and to reach, he is there He did not just descend to your condition; he descended below it that he might be in all and through all things the light of truth.'" (DC 88:6)

James's truck has got major electrical problems. He turned off the windshield wipers, came in the house and looked out the window and they were on. Erik told him he needed to get a new truck. This is true, but it just isn't in the cards right now.

We have so many things that need to be fixed right now, it's hard to know where to start. Where the water downstairs is coming from continues to be a mystery as the valve that was leaking last time is as dry as a bone.

Changing the fluids in the Razr is a nightmare. I believe they make it difficult so people will bring their machines in instead of trying to do it themselves. They don't know James. He is the king of "I can do it myself."

I listened to the book webinar training this morning by Kathy and Kris and then worked on books most of the day.

It rained hard here for about two minutes today. What's that about?

School started in the valley for Max, Evan, Joshua, Lola, and Ruby, and I think Rowan. I didn't see a post for Rowan as I did for Lola and Ruby so maybe not. Trina will have all four of her kids going to different schools this year. At least they are all close by.

James walked around the property this evening as I continue to circle the entry table. We had burgers and broccoli for dinner.

Watching Christmas movies is becoming quite a habit over here. I like them because they always have an uplifting message and a good ending. I can't stand sad or depressing endings.

Happy 18th Birthday to Summer!
We love you!

 A good one

I wonder how many books you have to have in
your inventory to sell this many books in a month.
