Jesus Christ, Divine Sonship
Alma 13:5
Or in fine, in the first place they were on the same standing with their brethren; thus this holy calling being prepared from the foundation of the world for such as would not harden their hearts, being in and through the atonement of the Only Begotten Son, who was prepared -

"The Father is aware of us, knows our needs, and will help us perfectly."

Read three articles from the Ensign. For some reason my audio is not working on my Gospel Library app.

As part of my study of the New Testament I read the explanation of the Mount of Transfiguration in the Bible Dictionary and want to record it here in my journal/blog:
This very important event in the N.T. occurred about a week after the promise made to Peter that he would receive the keys of the kingdom of heaven (Matt.16:13-18; 17:1-9). On the mount (probably Mount Hermon) the Savior, Moses, and Elias (Elijah) gave the promised keys of the priesthood to Peter, James, and John, which enabled these brethren to carry forth the work of the kingdom on the earth after the departure of Jesus. These keys were later given to all of the Twelve.
The transfiguration occurred in about October, some six months before the death of Jesus. The brethren saw the Lord in a glorified and transfigured state. They also saw a vision of the earth as it will appear in its future glorified condition (DC 63:20-21): saw and conversed with Moses and Elijah, two translated beings; and hear the voice of the Father bearing witness that Jesus is his beloved Son, in whom the Father is pleased, and commanding the brethren to hear (obey) him. See also Mark 9:2-10; Luke 9:28-36; 2 Pet. 1:16-18.
The event is important in many ways: Necessary priesthood authority was conferred upon Peter, James, and John: the significance of the Savior's work was emphasized; and the unity of various dispensations and the close relationship of Jesus and his prophets was demonstrated. Few events in the Bible equal it in importance. A similar event occurred on April 3, 1836, in the temple at Kirtland, Ohio, where the same heavenly messengers conferred priesthood keys upon the Prophets Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery (DC 110).

James cooked me pork chops for breakfast. I have been trying to incorporate more protein into my breakfasts so I thanked him kindly.

James found a nest of baby bunnies next to our garage door. They look so sweet. At first we thought there were five, then seven, and the final count was ten.

James texted Addy this picture and she asked him to bring
her one. I wonder how Trina would feel about having a
wild rabbit in her new home.

We were notified that we sold three books: Miss Leslie's Secret, Drops of Gold, and Magic Eye. All of these were books we had already and we will not make a great deal of money but it's always fun to receive the notice from Amazon that you've sold something!

James went in to town and actually did take the wheel and tire. He is Superman even with a reconstructed back. He also picked up nine books we ordered.

This afternoon I picked up Sister Barton and took her to Snowflake to meet with her attorney. Sister Barton lost her home in the Paradise, California fire and I think she may be filing a lawsuit against Pacific Gas and Electric. She says they are the ones who caused the fire.

She was in the law office of Brendan Rogers for over two hours. I tried to kill a little time by walking, going to McDonald's and Walmart and looking for a Chase Bank only to find out that there isn't one in Snowflake or Taylor.

I dropped Sister Barton off at her home at 4 o'clock and stopped to talk to her great granddaughter Jasmine who was walking home from the Vernon school. Jasmine is 12 and has rheumatoid arthritis. I feel for her because of some of the things Lucretia told me about how she is treated at home. I wish I could steal her away and adopt her. Oh dear, maybe I shouldn't say that on here, but it's true.

When I got home James and I finished watching the episode of McBride that we started yesterday. I figured out who the bad guy was and I was right. It was the police officer who looked so noble and good. Looks can sometimes be deceiving.

At seven this evening we had a Relief Society presidency meeting at the church. We talked about changes in our ministry assignments and reported on our ministering interviews.

Another bunny picture. That pink thing sticking
up is a leg.

 Such an adorable little face

Attorney's office.

I am intrigued by beautiful heart-shaped,
decorated cookies.

Jesus Christ, Crucifixion
Galatians 3:1
O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should ot obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?
Book of Mormon
3 Nephi 12:25-48
*What does it mean to you to be perfect?
- Moroni 10:32 says: "Come unto Christ, and be perfected in Him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, then is His grace sufficient for you, that by His grace ye may be perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God." President James E. Faust explained that we must seek for perfection now so as to be able to attain it in the next life: "Perfection is an eternal goal. While we cannot be perfect in mortality, striving for it is a commandment which ultimately, through the Atonement, we can keep." We have the perfect example in Jesus Christ.

"Each of us has the potential to become like the Father. To do so, we must worship the Father in the name of the Son."

James went out scouting for deer between Eagar and Big Lake. Not much luck but he went through Eagar and stopped at Aliberto's and brought me back a taco. Yum! I love their tacos.  Thanks honey!

I finally told the kids about the November 10th mini-Lambson reunion in Discovery Park. I said we weren't going because we had to work in the temple. Sheri said she would only come if we came so I told that to James. He said, "Then let's go." Now we have to find someone to trade temple shifts with someone.

I made brownies for James to take with him we he goes hunting tomorrow. I watched the new Halloween episode of "The Good Witch." I'm trying to clean things out of my DVR to make room for the Hallmark movies which start tomorrow.

I cleaned, walked, blogged and listened to "The Distant Hours" today. I also worked on our book business. I am finished with the training and ready to start making some money!

Jesus Christ Atonement through
Hebrews 5:9
And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
Book of Mormon
Ether 8:18-26
*What warning did Moroni issue to the people of our day, and what are the consequences of heeding or ignoring that warning?
The Prophet Joseph Smith declared: "The devil has no power over us only as we permit him; the moment we revolt at anything which comes from God, the devil takes power."
Doctrine Covenants Favorite Scriptures
DC 27:2
For, behold, I say unto you, that it mattereth not what ye shall eat or what ye shall drink when ye partake of the sacrament, if it so be that ye do it with an eye single to my glory - remembering unto the Father my body which was laid down for you, and my blood which was shed for the remission of your sins.

"We can try to change our behavior on our own, but only the Savior can remove our stains and lift our burdens, enabling us to pursue the path of obedience with confidence and strength."

The Eternal Everyday
Elder Quentin L. Cook
"Alma asked a question in his day that is pertinent today:'If ye have experienced a change of heart, and if ye have felt to sing the song of redeeming love, I would ask, can ye feel so now?'
Alma continued, 'Could ye say, if ye were called to die at this time,...that ye have been sufficiently humble?'
Every time I read about Alma the younger relinquishing his role as head of state to preach the word of God, I am impressed. Alma clearly had a profound testimony of God the Father and Jesus Christ and felt accountable to Them completely and without reservation. He had the correct priorities and humility to give up status and position because he realized that serving the Lord was more important."

James made an appointment with Dr. Moffat this morning and talked me into going to town with him. While he was at the doctors, I did some shopping at Walmart. I had lunch at the McDonald's inside of Walmart after I was done shopping. James had to take 3 prescripttions to CVS and while we were waiting for them to be filled he had lunch at Arby's.

It was 50 degrees and sunny today. We are praying for snow. On the trip home we read from "A Touch of Scarlett."

When we got home we too naps. I then turned on a Christmas movie while I worked on my blog. These are the movies I watched today: "Christmas in Vermont," "A Prince for Christmas," "Christmas in Mississippi," and "Maggie's Christmas Miracle."
The last one was the best. I am going to save it to watch when Sheri and Kim come up.

For F.H.E. we listened to Elder Cook's conference address, "The Eternal Everyday."

I am still feeling pretty lousy and so is James.

James bringing me Pero and turning on the fan.
We are watching a movie together.
This is almost a nightly occurrence for him.
