Up at 5. Once James leaves for work things are a little less stressful. I hurt so I laid down on the family room recliner until T&T kicks in (Tramadol and Tylenol). No chance to blog this morning. I am moving slow because the bottom of my left foot is swollen.
I left at 11:20 this morning. My first stop was at Catherine Halcomb's. She loved the picture of the Savior that I had at my last lesson. It's called "The Guardian" and was done by David Bowman in Snowflake. I got an 8x10 for her and framed it. She was so grateful. Most of all she was grateful that I came to visit her. She thinks I'm the only ministering sister who makes visits. I said I knew that I wasn't, but thank you. It was so sweet. She had her hair combed, eyebrows done and had lipstick on along with some new tennis shoes on her feet. She looked ready for company. I told her how pretty she looked. We visited for awhile and then I excused myself telling her I had some errands in town to run.
a picture of her with her "Guardian."
My first stop in town was at the Show Low post office to mail Summer's birthday card, then to the UPS store to return an ugly dress I ordered. In my defense the fabric was totally different from what was shown in the picture. Next was Walmart where I mostly shopped for the dinner I am doing for the missionaries on Sunday. A pot roast with carrots, potatoes, green beans, and rolls. For dessert I'm doing banana pudding. I also stopped at Splash & Dash and got gas for $3.06 a gallon.
James carried in the groceries and I put them away. I had a little rest & relaxation time and Tom joined me. When I got up I made a sweep upstairs to make everything was in order as Darrel, Trina, Ruby, and Lola are coming up this evening.
They got here around 7:30 and as soon as they had their car unloaded, Lola had them playing the Googly Eye game.
I made rolls this evening, a dozen for family and a dozen for the missionaries. Everyone had one except Trina and I.
Trina told me a little bit about Rowan. He says he wants to go on a mission but he doesn't want to teach everything the Church teaches. She wouldn't share with me what it was that was bothering him. It's a little disheartening because I thought he was ready to go and was filling out his mission papers.
Back in Vernon I had two boxes waiting for me at the post office.
I invited the MacArthur family to come for a BBQ next Thursday night.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, ye are little children, and ye have not as yet understood how great blessings the Father hath in his own hands and prepared for you.
