"Follow Him"
Up at 4:55. I went to bed last night at 11.
James decided he couldn't wear Owen's harness because it was way too big for him. I made me promise that he would take some kind of precautions to keep himself from sliding or falling off the roof. He said he put blocks nailed to the bottom of the roof that would "catch" him. I happened to look out my kitchen window this morning and I could see him on the roof.
The guy in Iowa who we bought the Razr engine from is shipping it today to Erik's home in Chandler. We are officially on our way to getting the Razr fixed. Hopefully it will be done for fall so we can take a drive up the mountain to see the leaves change color.
I had a nice conversation with Max today via text. He is so pleasant to talk to because he is so positive and wants to do good.
I had a pound of fresh spinach in the refrigerator that I was afraid was going to go bad so I cooked it for lunch, put some vineager on it and James and I ate it. It was quite tasty.
Stacy got a call about a note today from one of the letters we sent out. It could be worth $1,000 - 2,000.
I spent the afternoon from two to six in the kitchen making calico beans and cornbread. Willy & Janna Grombach and Janna's mother Pat Tedder, are coming over for dinner and then to play "Ticket to Ride."
I postponed the dinner from 6 to 6:30 using James's job as an excuse saying he was trying to get ready for an inspection. This was true, but I was also running a little behind.
James came home and showered and then came in to the kitchen to help me. I asked him to finish up the dishes and put ice water in the glasses while I went in to get ready.
Willy loved the beans and the cornbread, going back for seconds.
After dinner we played "Ticket to Ride". It was fun except the scoring was a little complicated and time-consuming. It's funny that James and I were the newbies and he came in first and I came in second. Janna and Willy love our house. Pat and I did some planning. She has been wanting to go to a movie. It was between 'Superman' or 'How to Train Your Dragon' and 'How to Train Your Dragon' won. Tuesday the tickets are only $6 a piece so we are going a week from tomorrow on the 22nd. It was a fun evening spent with great friends. Thank you Willy, Janna, and Pat for coming over to help us learn how to play "Ticket to Ride."
"Our Heavenly Father has innumerable gifts of light and truth prepared to shower down on each of us. His treasured children."

For if you will that I give unto you a place in the celestial world, you must prepare yourselves by doing the things which I have commanded you and required of you.
