Up at 3:25. Prayer first. I caught up on my A.S.K. and R.E.J. journals. At 4:45 I gave James a heat rub and then he used the heating pad for about 10 minutes.

Tom is outside on the couch sun-bathing. Sammy rubs against my legs every time I go outside so now I have hair all over my pants.

Later I went out and they were both on the couch.

Evan answered the question today. Alma 29:8-30:11. Do we have anti-Christs or people who oppose the Church today? How should we respond when they laugh at us or put down our beliefs?
Evan: "Yes, we still face people today who mock or attack our beliefs, just like Korihor did. It can bring us down, but the Lord's way isn't to argue in anger. In D&C 71 He tells us to keep sharing truth boldly and with love, trusting him to handle the redst. Truth will stand. When others laugh, we can stand firm, live the gospel with oy, and let our quiet confidence speak louder than their noise. God's plan will move forward, and so will we when we are faithful, patient, and unashamed."

I love Evan's answers.

It's 8:54 and I have not seen Brian nor Kim and James is at work. It's like I'm home alone. Something I have noticed about Kim though, is she reads her Book of Mormon throughout the day, more than once. I will see her reading by the fireplace and then later I will see her reading on the brown recliners. She really does love the Book of Mormon.

It's 12:52 and it's raining! Tom and Sammy have been couch potatoes outside on the couch by our bedroom door. Now that it's raining and they hear thunder they are hiding under the couches.

James came home in the early afternoon from Crane's. He paid his city license taxes online with Brian's help. I got a call from Catherine Halcomb today saying she would not be going to the temple with me this week like we had planned. She had wanted to do initiatories and then afterwards spend some time in the celestial room because she feels close to her husband when she is there. Now she has talked herself out of it. I told it that was okay but if she changed her mind to let me know. When I was finished speaking with Catherine I texted my friend Ruth Gale and arranged a temple trip with her tomorrow afternoon at the 3:30 session.

We got a little bit more rain than expected which made us happy. James and I went into town. We ate at Culver's. James had his cod fillet sandwich and I had my strawberry fields salad minus the blue cheese.  We saw Gary and Maxine Thompson and Rick Lauritzen in Culver's. Gary and Maxine had a buy one get one free coupon and Rick had just given blood and was waiting for Rosie to come and pick him up.

We went over to Lowe's to get some flowers. We can't get trees today because we are in the car. Here is the cart load of flowers I picked out:

In spite of pain and fatigue James goes back to work at the Crane's when we get back from town. I am tired and take a short nap. I then blogged June 28th, and planted one of my flowering plants. I will plant one or two each day until they are all planted.

Kim and I got out the "Ticket to Ride" game and set it up, reading the instructions as we went along. We didn't actually play the game but we got the idea of how to play and what the objective is.

I ordered two new dresses today. I went out on a limb and ordered medium. The last ones I ordered were extra large and they are all too big now. I probably should have ordered large. We shall see.

James got the solar generator he ordered. We are so excited to be able to have power to some of our appliances if the electricity goes out. I also got a new pair of sandals and five of my tree of life journals in different colors.

Hear, O ye heavens, and give ear, O earth, and rejoice ye inhabitants thereof, for the Lord is God, and beside Him there is no Savior.

and attending the Tempe 4th ward. He was in our
