"What Has Our Savior Done For Us?"
President Dallin H. Oaks
First Counselor in the First Presidency
Our Savior and Redeemer endured incomprehensible suffering to become a sacrifice for the sins of all mortals who would repent.
This atoning sacrifice offered the ultimate good, the pure lamb without blemish, for the ultimate measure of evil, the sins of the entire world. It opened the door for each of us to be cleansed of our personal sins so we can be readmitted to the presence of God, our Eternal Father. This open door is available to all of the children of God.

Emily's commentary on John 9
(Jesus to the blind man)
Your brokenness is not a fault of yours, your brokenness is actually to make manifest the work of God in you.

Up at 5:43. James brought me oatmeal and strawberries. He is such a sweetie. I spent the early morning hours studying and working on my blog. At 9:00 I started making cookies. I soon realized why my dough was so dry yesterday. I had only added 4 eggs instead of 6. I had added softened butter to make them moist. While making cookies I listened to Guster and then President Oak's priesthood session conference talk. When I had the dough mixed I put it in the frig to chill and went in to continue working on my blog. I'm still trying to catch up from being gone on Monday. While working, I listened to "Follow Him." The special guest this week is S. Michael Wilcox. Here are some notes that I took:
The Joseph Smith Translation of the Bible was a catalyst for other revelations. Joseph Smith taught with authority from God.
Brother Wilcox read scriptures out loud. "The tongue will put tone in that the eyes don't see, and tone is a very important thing in scriptures. Brother Wilcox says that he goes to the Sacred Grove and the First Vision everyday in his mind. Remember, the reason that Joseph went to pray was to know his standing before God and to ask for forgiveness. One of the first things Joseph hears from the Lord is, "Joseph, thy sins are forgiven thee." To me, this is the greatest Hear Him!
Do I murmur against people? I don't want to be a "seek occasion against others" type of person. Celebrate the good and forgive everything else. You can't end hatred by hatred. Help your brother get the anger out of his heart.
Have I ask for forgiveness and have I forgiven others? "Christ is a delightful forgiver." He likes to forgive.

James has been communicating with Armando regarding the job at Lake Park Village. He says Armando thinks he needs to use twice as much rebar as he does. He can't seem to make Armando understand and feels as if he needs to go down for the pour tomorrow. I agreed that he probably should.

We both took our nap on the recliners today. I always take my nap on the recliner but James usually goes in to the bedroom.

I ended up making five dozen cookies in my small oven today. I will probably make another batch in the morning. James had to order a new oven igniter. The agent on the phone told him there are two igniters and since he didn't know which one was out, he needed to order both of them. This ended up costing over $300 and James still has to install them.

To rain, or not to rain, that is the question. Today it was dark all around us and I thought we were going to get some rain, but we did not. So sad. Hopefully we will get some moisture to put out the fires that have popped up all over the state.

Sheri is at Yellowstone today, Molly went to girls camp and Trina posted picture from their girls camp. She, Addy, Ruby, Suzy, and Bob all went. Bob and Suzy were the cooks. How fun!

Some funny things from today's indexing: the Anti-Monopoly Drug Store. Funny names - Zonie Blackwell and Ynosensi & Caridadi Bister.
