Jesus Christ, Judge
Psalms 96:10
Say among the heathen that the Lord reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: hew shall judge the people righteously.
Book of Mormon
2 Nephi 8
Jacob continues reading from Isaiah: In the last days, the Lord will comfort Zion and gather Israel - The redeemed will come to Zion amid great joy - Compare Isaiah 51 and 52:1-2. About 559-545 B.C.
"Come Follow Me"
2 Nephi 9:27-54 "I can come unto Christ and receive the glorious blessings of His Atonement

"Remember the things the Lord has
done for you."

"After the Trial of Our Faith"
 Elder Jorge M. Alvarado
"We are blessed with the restored gospel of Jesus Christ in our days, which lifts us when we feel discouraged or troubled. We are reassured that our efforts will bear fruit in the Lord's own due time if we press forward through the trials of our faith."

Happy Birthday Trina!

Darrel and Trina have a friend who says that Darrel never
smiles in pictures. I think he's trying to prover
her wrong in this picture.

We got a text this morning reminding us that Jared is in court and would we please pray for him. I offered a prayer directed towards Jared and kept my thoughts on him all morning until we received this text from him:
"FYI. I'm still in court as they are writing up a new order but it looks like I'll get credit for all the extra money I've paid over the last 7 months.. Over $2,400 total. But the bad news is I won't get it back now. It will sit as a credit in my account which means I won't have to pay child support the last few months before Molly turns 18. Not exactly what I wanted as it's frustrating it'll be 8 years before I get that extra money back, but at least I'll get credit for all of it."

James is miserable this morning. His upper back is really hurting. I think it's because he shoveled snow for a couple of hours yesterday.
James got a text from Chuck this morning cancelling their elders quorum meeting this evening. Chuck said he was at the emergency room all night with Kathy who is having gastrointestinal problems. We will continue to pray for her.

I have an appointment with Dr. Moffat on February 24th.  He had to renew one of my prescriptions and realized I had not been in for awhile. I guess it's about time.

I worked on preparing Valentine's for Jared and Kacey's family and for Autumn, Palmer and Scarlett. James was so kind to mail them for me. Now I'm working on Ben's and Darrel and Trina's, and possibly the girls families too.

I made James a meatloaf with baked potatoes and green beans for lunch. I told him it was a reward for mailing my Valentines. (Ha! I would have made it anyway).

I watched the snow melt off the trees all day. Although the high was only around 40, it was sunny all day.

I bought 3 books today, as is my plan, and repriced an entire inventory sheet. It doesn't sound like much but it takes time.

I cleaned the wood floor in the living room and family room today. I just used my Swifer Wet and it looks great.

This evening I studied 2 Nephi 8 and 2 Nephi 9:27-54. I love Jacob.
2 Nephi 9 is one of my favorite chapters in the Book of Mormon.

I love to see the temple
and I went there today.

I was up at 5:30 this morning and left for the temple by myself at 7:15 for the 8:30 session.  Brother Peeler from our ward arrived at the temple the same time that I did.  He is a temple worker but today he was a patron doing an endowment session just like me.

I went through for Margaret Eaton and the name of the officiator for our session was Brother Eaton.  Also, I saw a friend from high school working at the veil, his name, Alan Frost.

After the temple I stopped at El Cupido's for a drink and a bacon breakfast burrito.  I ordered it to go and my next stop was at the Taylor Walmart where I shopped for groceries and Emmy's birthday.  On to Show Low for gas and a carwash and to pick up Emmy's ice cream cake at Dairy Queen.  The only problem with their cakes is, they don't have any cake, just ice cream.

When I returned home I unloaded the car, put groceries away and sat down to rest and watch an episode of "Chopped."  James was outside putting a door on his shed.
 It looks so nice!
Now all we need to do is plant some grass or build a sidewalk so our floor won't get so dusty.

I couldn't resist taking this picture of the birdhouse.
He made the birdhouse for the humming birds,
so the hole is a little small to get inside.

James says we have apples growing on one of our trees.
Does that look like an apple to you?
It looks more like a pomegranate to me.

This afternoon I made a meatloaf to go with our scalloped potatoes.  Just as we sat down to eat, Jared and his kids arrived with an Arby's bag.  All the kids are here except Anna who went to Disneyland with Tricia.

Earlier this month Trina and Stacy both killed spiders.  Trina's was in the garage and Stacy's was in the house.  Which would you rather face:
Stacy's

Trina's

Sorry Stacy, put Trina wins this one for the grossest looking spider!
