"United in Accomplishing God's Work"
Jean B. Bingham
"Adam and Eve were given commandments to obey and had different ways of approaching those instructions, which caused some initial anxiety and confusion. But as they made decisions that changed their lives forever, they learned to work together and became united in accomplishing the purposes God had for them - and for all of His children."

Ye Must Be Born Again

I realize that if I want a blessing in my life and I require the Lord's help to acquire this blessing I must ask Him with REAL INTENT. If I am asking with real intent then I am doing my part to bring about the desired blessing. This is where I continually fall down. I want something and I think I will do anything to get it but I have discovered that I am very weak. I will continue to pray for strength to overcome.

I had not planned on going to town today. I needed a couple of birthday cards and I was going to make a quick trip to Dollar General. James said he needed to deposit the check Mario gave him today because he already wrote a check on it. I reminded him that wasn't a good idea since a large check like this one will take a couple of days to become available.

He convinced me that I should go with him so I went in to get ready to go. He wanted to leave by 9. When I came out I had a new pink top on. This was the comment James made: "You look spoofy." I said, spoofy? What does spoofy mean, is that a combination of spiffy and spooky? He then corrected himself and said I looked nice.

I waited for James in the car while he went inside the bank to deposit the check. He had to wait in a long line. When he got to the front of the line he told the teller that none of the banks he went to in the valley had the lobby open, only the ATM and he did not have a debit card to use in the ATM. She said this branch is one of the only branches open. The branch in Pinetop is closed because they get more visitors from the valley. Interesting.

James dropped me off at Walmart to get the cards I needed while he went to Tractor Supply to get mousetraps, which he forgot, and horse feed. I told him to look for a mask for Luna to keep the flies away from her eyes.

When James picked me up from Walmart we drove to Taco Bell and got some tacos and a tostada  for lunch. I made James wait until he got home to eat his tostada because he was so messy with his taco. It is hard to eat while you are driving. This Covid-19 is not good for the cleanliness of my car. Speaking of clean cars, we were going to go through the carwash but we passed the one at Circle K up and the Splash and Dash was broke on one side and the other side had a long line. James promised me he would wash the car when he got home although it might be at 8 p.m. because he is going to be so busy. "Don't worry honey, I won't let you forget."

We listened to a couple of conference talks and I read from Aunt Dimity while we were on the road. Lori and Bree are looking for a lost Russian prince in the homes of wealthy gentry in the English countryside where Daisy Pickering went with her mother to work. Coral, Daisy's best friend told them that the silver saltcellar sleigh they have was stolen from the lost prince and then he was thrown into a dungeon. Daisy told Coral all of this. It would be most helpful if they could find Daisy and her mom but they seem to have vanished. Lori and Bree's cover to get into these homes: They are journalists doing a story for a magazine. Bree came up with this idea because rich people love to see their names in print.

This afternoon after my rest time I worked on my blog which should have been done this morning but I was finishing up my gospel studies for yesterday this morning. I set my timer for 20 minutes. Twenty minutes work on the blog, ten minutes walking. I must do this if I am to get 15,000 steps by the end of the day.

James put Luna in the yard because she looks so bored in her small pen. I went outside to put my mother's day plants on the table and lo and behold, there was Luna so very close. It startled me for a moment.

James went on a Luna ride while I did today's gospel study. After dinner and when I was finished walking I went in to take my shower and then we watched "Lark Rise to Candleford" season 2 episode 5.
Laura:
"Time rests heavy on the residents of Lark Rise and Candleford as baby Annie stirs up emotions of days gone by and loves yet to be found. My mother was one of those women, as the hamlet saying went, never flinched. But the care of an infant can show the best of us our limitations and teach us that life can't all be carefree summer days.
Laura and Fisher:
L: That's the old bell tower.
F: I know. Quite an agreeable little town you have here, and it's about to change.
L: Why might that be?
F: Because I'm here. I am the clockmaker and clocks always change people's lives.
Laura and Dorcas after Fisher calls her "buttoned up."
L: Mam, would you say I was buttoned up?
D: Not in the least, not at all. Perhaps at times a tad serious if I were to be exacting.
L: So you think I should unbutton?
D: Rather an unfortunate phrase but we can all benefit by being a little more carefree.

The Atonement of Jesus Christ
Tad R. Callister
"The Savior's Atonement is not only infinite in scope but also individual in reach."

One of the things I love most about spring is the birds singing in the morning. I heard them today.

I read a great article today by President M. Russell Ballard from 1996 called, "When Shall These Things Be"? You can find it in the Dec 1996 Ensign on p. 60.

James came in this morning and announced that he could not find his wallet. He spent over an hour looking for it. He said the last time he saw or used it was on Saturday when he bought gas.

On our way to town I called Darrel and asked him to look in the bedroom where we stayed. At first he couldn't find it but then he said he found it on the floor at the edge of the bed. Thank goodness! How many more things can this guy lose?

Our first stop in town was at the bank where I deposited $1,200 that James got from Mario. This money belongs to Burnham for cleaning up the lots after the work was done.

We were hungry so we stopped at LaCasita for lunch. When the waitress asked for our order I said, "I'll have the usual." She looked at me kind of funny and I said, "Oh, I thought you probably had our orders memorized by now." She said she didn't but would try to remember next time. I told her I was only joking.

After lunch we went to Walmart to do some shopping. I ran in to a friend who spends her winters in the valley and summers in Vernon, Teresa. She was frustrated because she couldn't find a couple of items she wanted. I told her I knew how she felt. She said tomorrow is her husband Wes's birthday and she is going to go to Safeway because she thought their ribeye steaks were better than Walmart's. I agreed.

We went to Safeway to get Dr. Pepper10. We saw Teresa again. We also stopped by CVS and spent $146 for James's prescriptions. On the way out of town we stopped for gas. It rained on us most of the way home, quite hard. We always need the rain and I love rainy days.

We listened to our Anita Stanfield book, "Ivy and Stone" on the way home from town. I also listened to the book "Squint."

After returning from town I got a Facetime call from Jared and Charlie. How fun! The highlight of my day.

I watched one of my favorite Hallmark movies, "A Country Wedding" while working on the floor and walking.

James and I watched McBride: Dogged. I had already seen it but I wanted James to see it too. He guess right away who the killer was. I guess he has more of a criminal mind than I do.

Two more books that I ordered came today. I will need to create a shipment tomorrow.

 Uh oh

 That's better

James and I both love this sweet girl.
Her birthday was yesterday.

My sweet friend Jean with her husband, Marcy her
daughter, Joe her son-in-law and two of her
grandchildren. Jean and Ralph spoke in Church and
shared their testimonies of the Gospel.
