"United in Accomplishing God's Work"
Jean B. Bingham
"Adam and Eve were given commandments to obey and had different ways of approaching those instructions, which caused some initial anxiety and confusion. But as they made decisions that changed their lives forever, they learned to work together and became united in accomplishing the purposes God had for them - and for all of His children."

Ye Must Be Born Again

I realize that if I want a blessing in my life and I require the Lord's help to acquire this blessing I must ask Him with REAL INTENT. If I am asking with real intent then I am doing my part to bring about the desired blessing. This is where I continually fall down. I want something and I think I will do anything to get it but I have discovered that I am very weak. I will continue to pray for strength to overcome.

I had not planned on going to town today. I needed a couple of birthday cards and I was going to make a quick trip to Dollar General. James said he needed to deposit the check Mario gave him today because he already wrote a check on it. I reminded him that wasn't a good idea since a large check like this one will take a couple of days to become available.

He convinced me that I should go with him so I went in to get ready to go. He wanted to leave by 9. When I came out I had a new pink top on. This was the comment James made: "You look spoofy." I said, spoofy? What does spoofy mean, is that a combination of spiffy and spooky? He then corrected himself and said I looked nice.

I waited for James in the car while he went inside the bank to deposit the check. He had to wait in a long line. When he got to the front of the line he told the teller that none of the banks he went to in the valley had the lobby open, only the ATM and he did not have a debit card to use in the ATM. She said this branch is one of the only branches open. The branch in Pinetop is closed because they get more visitors from the valley. Interesting.

James dropped me off at Walmart to get the cards I needed while he went to Tractor Supply to get mousetraps, which he forgot, and horse feed. I told him to look for a mask for Luna to keep the flies away from her eyes.

When James picked me up from Walmart we drove to Taco Bell and got some tacos and a tostada  for lunch. I made James wait until he got home to eat his tostada because he was so messy with his taco. It is hard to eat while you are driving. This Covid-19 is not good for the cleanliness of my car. Speaking of clean cars, we were going to go through the carwash but we passed the one at Circle K up and the Splash and Dash was broke on one side and the other side had a long line. James promised me he would wash the car when he got home although it might be at 8 p.m. because he is going to be so busy. "Don't worry honey, I won't let you forget."

We listened to a couple of conference talks and I read from Aunt Dimity while we were on the road. Lori and Bree are looking for a lost Russian prince in the homes of wealthy gentry in the English countryside where Daisy Pickering went with her mother to work. Coral, Daisy's best friend told them that the silver saltcellar sleigh they have was stolen from the lost prince and then he was thrown into a dungeon. Daisy told Coral all of this. It would be most helpful if they could find Daisy and her mom but they seem to have vanished. Lori and Bree's cover to get into these homes: They are journalists doing a story for a magazine. Bree came up with this idea because rich people love to see their names in print.

This afternoon after my rest time I worked on my blog which should have been done this morning but I was finishing up my gospel studies for yesterday this morning. I set my timer for 20 minutes. Twenty minutes work on the blog, ten minutes walking. I must do this if I am to get 15,000 steps by the end of the day.

James put Luna in the yard because she looks so bored in her small pen. I went outside to put my mother's day plants on the table and lo and behold, there was Luna so very close. It startled me for a moment.

James went on a Luna ride while I did today's gospel study. After dinner and when I was finished walking I went in to take my shower and then we watched "Lark Rise to Candleford" season 2 episode 5.
Laura:
"Time rests heavy on the residents of Lark Rise and Candleford as baby Annie stirs up emotions of days gone by and loves yet to be found. My mother was one of those women, as the hamlet saying went, never flinched. But the care of an infant can show the best of us our limitations and teach us that life can't all be carefree summer days.
Laura and Fisher:
L: That's the old bell tower.
F: I know. Quite an agreeable little town you have here, and it's about to change.
L: Why might that be?
F: Because I'm here. I am the clockmaker and clocks always change people's lives.
Laura and Dorcas after Fisher calls her "buttoned up."
L: Mam, would you say I was buttoned up?
D: Not in the least, not at all. Perhaps at times a tad serious if I were to be exacting.
L: So you think I should unbutton?
D: Rather an unfortunate phrase but we can all benefit by being a little more carefree.

Jesus Christ, Judge
Mosiah 27:31
Yea, every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess before him. Yea, even at the last day, when all men shall stand to be judged of him, then shall they confess that he is God; then shall they confess, who live without God in the world, that the judgment of an everlasting punishment is just upon them; and they shall quake, and tremble, and shrink beneath the glance of his all searching eye.

Elder Ulisses Soares
"The historical facts and the special witnesses of the Book of Mormon testify that its coming forth was indeed miraculous."

I saw 5 or 6 elk in the field this morning but it wasn't enough to get James out of bed. I had to bring him his morning tea in order for him to get up.

I saw my old doctor, Dr. Sam Walters on an Instagram ad this morning, saying that he could restore memory loss. He also claimed that he was a NASA scientist. Hmm that's news to me. It sounds to me like he is still impressed with how grandiose he is. Sorry but that's my opinion, even if he is a good doctor.

It has been exactly a month since our last sacrament meeting on March 8th. I really do miss the Vernon ward members.

I read to James from "Aunt Dimity and the Family Tree" before he went to work for the Howard's. He had to make a trip to town to get supplies and brought me back some lunch from Taco Bell, a taco and a toastada.

I really wanted to get Luna today but Tom said his horse trailer is full of junk and he needed to unload it before he could bring her over.

I added red eggs and forget me not ties to my Easter display. I also paid some bills, worked on my blog and life story, and entered books in the replenishment alerts page on Amazon. I also texted Cammy to see how she is doing. She is one of the sisters I minister to.

This evening Kerri and Tamara and I had a presidency meeting. I stayed at home so they called me on the phone. We made some ministering changes that needed to be made. I am please with the changes!

Trina texted to see how we are doing. Addy texted me a funny video. It's nice they are keeping in touch.

James did not feel well this evening so we watched the newest Ruby Herring episode starring Taylor Cole.

James was planning on going to the Howard's this morning to look at a "leaky" window. I was going to stay home and work on my book business. I got a call from Sister Howard, my dear friend. She asked if I would come with James when he comes and we could have some tea. (Herbal tea please!)  She said, "If you aren't too busy." How could I say I was too busy? I told her I would be there.

We left around 9:30 for the Howard's. I got to see our mare that they are giving us. She was out in the field with friends. I thought, "when she comes to our house she will be alone." Her name that the Howard's have given her is Mirage. We may change that.

We stayed well over an hour visiting with Jean and Tom. Tom has some work for James to do. I'm not sure when he will start. Jean fixed both James and I chamomile tea.

When we left the Howard's we drove straight to Home Depot where James had to pick up some items to finish the corral he is building. I waited in the car. It looked like business as usual at Home Depot. Some of us seem to be ignoring the governor's Stay at Home order. James was gone for quite some time. I was getting impatient and called him. He said he was in the line to check out. He apologized for taking so long.

On the way home we stopped at Taco Bell for our taco and bean burrito. It really is the cheapest place to get lunch on the mountain.

At home I went to my place on the couch for some rest and relaxation. I finished watching a Winterfest Hallmark movie starring Taylor Cole and Ryan Pavey. As I was sitting there I kept trying to think of a name for the horse. I don't know why but I began thinking about "The Lone Ranger and Tonto." It seemed to me that Tonto had a paint horse. I looked it up on Google. He did, and the horses name was Scout. I thought, but Scout is not a girls name. Then I thought of Scout Finch, the young daughter of Atticus Finch in "To Kill a Mockingbird." I thought, yes, Scout is a good name. I told James and he really liked it. I said, do you know where I got the name Scout? He said, "Scout was the name of Tonto's horse." As a kid he was a fan of the Lone Ranger.

I texted Addy. She liked the name Scout too. I told her that the Howard's called her Mirage. She liked that name too. Scout Mirage Lambson. Somehow Scout and Mirage don't go together.

This evening after work James and I watch another Winterfest Hallmark movie starring Italia Ricci, Chad Michael Murray, and Jack Turner. Neither one of us could remember watching it when it came out in January. In the movie there was a dog named Luna. I liked that name. I thought, Luna Mirage Lambson sounds good. I told James, he still likes Scout but Addy loved it like I do! I think we've found a name!

I tried to prepare one of my three book shipments for shipping but Amazon is still not allowing it. I guess I will have to wait until after the 5th to even prepare my shipments.

I washed the sheets that go on our bed today. I didn't replace them because I thought it would be easier for James and I to do it together before we went to bed. After our movie James went in to make some tea. As I was walking to the bedroom I said, "Oh James, we have to put the sheets on the bed. Much to my surprise when I got in our room, the sheets were on the bed, and the bed was turned down. I guess James did it after he took his shower. It's the little things that count!

It was a gorgeous day today. The high was sixty five, no wind, and lots of sunshine. Perfect for James working outside.

We are so excited for General Conference tomorrow!
