3 Nephi 15:5
Behold, I am he that gave the law, and I am he who covenanted with my people Israel; therefore, the law in me is fulfilled, for I have come to fulfill the the law; therefore it hath an end.
Book of Mormon/"Come Follow Me"
1 Nephi 19
Nephi makes plates of ore and records the history of his people - The God of Israel will come six hundred years from the time Lehi left Jerusalem - Nephi tells of His sufferings and crucifixion - The Jews will be despised and scattered until the latter days, when they will return unto the Lord. About 588-570 B.C.

"Take Up Our Cross"
Elder Ulisses Soares
October 2019
"I testify that as we continually strive to overcome our challenges, God will bless us with the gifts of faith to be healed and of the working of miracles. He will do for us what we are not capable of doing for ourselves."

"May I say that often the root cause of the confusion some have about the gospel comes from the combination of a steady diet of the philosophies of the world juxtaposed against a superficial understanding of the gospel." -Sheri Dew, "Women and the Priesthood" p. 158

Ian's brother's Michael, who lives in England, is on his way to Arizona to visit family and attend the Phoenix Open.

I listened to part of the book webinar this morning with Randy and Barry. Barry says during the off-season to Google hobbies or spring events and find books that are seasonal which will sell. I sold three books today for a total of $92.98. I am also returning a book that had a broken binding.

I thought the missionaries were coming to dinner today but when I texted them they said it was on their calendar for tomorrow. That means I'm going to town today instead of tomorrow. I already have some of the chicken marinating but I am going to get some more.

James and I left for town around 2:30. I bought more chicken for the missionary dinner and some stuff to make punch. I also got some frozen rolls to make. I guess it was lucky for them that they aren't coming until tomorrow because they will have more chicken and some rolls and punch.

James tried to order a bumper for his truck online but he could not find one that would fit his truck. It was very frustrating for him.

We watched a YouTube of a talk given by President Nelson in 1984. He was ordained an apostle in 1984 and I'm not sure if this was before or after he was an apostle. He was outlining the horrible sin of abortion. After he was finished there was a video of Mitt Romney saying it was a woman's right to have an abortion. He waffled depending on what group he was speaking to. I have lost so much respect for Mitt Romney and at this point I am grateful he was not elected president of the United States.

Armando's 5 week old baby Savannah Marie is in the hospital. She is having difficulty breathing and they had to put a tube down her throat. James said she might no make it. He called Paul who is their ministering brother and he was talking to Armando on the phone. He was going over to give a blessing.

James's brother Dave texted him earlier in the week about going to their cousin Max's funeral which is in Ramah on Saturday. Dave was going to pick James up at the Vernon store at 8 am Saturday. When James spoke with him today he said he probably wouldn't be going because Laura is sick. She had a colonoscopy and her colon was ruptured during the procedure. They did an emergency surgery on her and sent her home. She is in so much pain that she went back in to the doctor. They are probably going to schedule another surgery on Saturday. We are including both Savannah and Laura in our prayers.

Woke up to this

"Come, Follow Me"
President Russell M. Nelson
"Pour out your heart to God. Ask Him if these things are true. Make time to study His words. Really study! If you truly love your family and if you desire to be exalted with them throughout eternity, pay the price now - through serious study and fervent prayer - to know these eternal truths and then to abide by them."

A quote from President Romney's talk:
"Obedient to the law of Christ is liberty. Learn the law of Christ and obey it. This is the purpose of life."

I listened to Kathy and Kris, two of my favorites, on the book webinar this morning. Kris says that between May and August 15th he buys $1,000 worth of books a day. That is a lot of money!
By the way, I sold three books today.

I was going to make pork chops today for lunch but I was just not feeling up to it. My muscle is still sore from yesterday's slip.

I sat down for a few minutes and ended up watching last night's episode of "Dancing with the Stars." I think the Bachelorette, Hannah Brown was my favorite.

There was a strange hotline advertisement on TV today. The announcer said: I you have experienced abuse in Mormonism please call this number...What?

I did manage to walk today. Actually the more I walked the less sore my muscle was.

James worked outside on log upkeep again today. This evening we watched the latest episode of Mystery Theater 101, our second episode for this week. We were a little behind.

I couldn't resist another picture of James's elk.

He's still going to the temple minus the walker.

 I love Persnikkity's!

We Can Do Better and Be Better
President Russell M. Nelson
"We know what will give us greater access to the powers of heaven. We also know what will hinder our progress - what we need to stop doing to increase our access to the power of heaven. Brethren, prayerfully seek to understand what stands in the way of your repentance. Identify what stops you from repenting. And then, change! Repent! All of us can do better and be better than ever before."

I love this quote by President Joseph Fielding Smith:
"Procrastination is the thief of eternal life."

I listened to the book arbitrage webinar this morning. Their next big push is individual and group mentoring which are very costly. I just cannot spend anymore money on this business. I am going to have to stumble along on my own.

James went with me this morning to the Dollar store and then on in to Maverick to get some gas. I read to him from our book, "Love Unscripted."

James picked out birthday items for Ruthie Wilhelm and I got some things for Lola. I also got five aluminum containers to take tonight's dinner to the Nichols family.

Sister Nichols had a baby girl this morning, Abigail.

The Nichols became an eternal family in March

I spent most of the rest of the day preparing a meal for this family.
Here was the menu: Kid friendly goulash, green beans, salad, homemade rolls, and homemade chocolate chip cookies.
James helped me deliver the food this afternoon. Brother Nichols was at home with his kids Amelia and Kaleb. Kaleb is 3. He told me he was going to be 5 soon. I asked him if he was skipping 4 and he said yes. He also showed me how he could play the harmonica. He was actually pretty good. I think he had some training. Amelia was anxious to tell me that she got to hold her new baby sister.
This is such a nice family and it was a privilege to be of service to them.

These are my Christmas movies for the day while I was walking and then later in the evening James and I watched the last one together
"Christmas at Holly Lodge"
"Christmas Land"
"Entertaining Christmas"

The end of June was the Lambson family reunion in Ramah. James and I were in the valley while he was working on the Hatch job.
His cousin Laurie Lambson Thomas gave this report of the reunion:

Dear Lambson Family,

We just had a great reunion!

New this year....

Eli, Jason, Jonathan Nicoll and Tyler Ebright built a Zip Line. Kids and adults had a great time.

The Friday night pageant produced by Vivian Nicoll and family told the story of Frank and Laura Lambson at home through story telling and singing. Each original brother and sister and grandmother and grandad was represented by a Nicoll family member with their name printed on a different colored T-shirt.

Service Project: A thorough clean-up of area and perimeter included leveling debris and was completed by 14 young men and women. Afterwards Ethan Brown built a fire, Dustin Brown, Army National Guard Warrant Officer 3 led a ceremony and retired 6 flags. He explained the ceremony and told the story of an active rescue in the middle east and the returning of 3 deceased soldiers. He explained why men and women sacrifice their lives for their comrades and their country.

Rib dinner: Friday and Saturday, Thank you Ryan Allred and Kathy Lambson.

Military Service at Flag Raising: All veterans and current military were honored. We had representatives from the Korean War, Vietnam, War, Middle East and active duty.

Update on property improvements: Pump house building; A big thanks to Tom, Eli, Delbert Allen, Jason, Francisco and sons for well pump house concrete, and structure. It will protect the well for years to come. So much help was from the younger generations!

Auction: Neal Lambson was the auctioneer. We raised over $1,500, the high bid of $225 was for a custom made knife by Terry Lambson and sold to Brian Maki.

Missionaries: Gerald and Dian Richins - Nauvoo, Illinois;
Terry and Cathi Lambson - North American Virtual Remote Operation Center Mission - Support for Family Search; Francisco Quintant - Sacramento, California; Quinn Macintyre - Gilbert, Az; Courtney Allred, Gilbert, Az.;  Lexie Jackson - Kennewick, Washington.

Persons that came the furthest: Alisha Countryman and Bridgette Lambson, Delbert Allen's daughter's came over 1500 miles.

We also had riddles about family members living and deceased to increase our knowledge of one another. One person we got to know about was Paisley Johnson who is Stephanie Lambson Johnson's daugher, who is Lonnie's daughter. She is a star on the BYU women's basketball team! She is dating Connor Harding of the men's basketball team. Connor and his father are in the same ward as Hayden Lambson (Uncle Leon's son) in Pocatello, Idaho.
Hayden painted a picture of Connor's father taking a npa in the shade of a tree while a large bull elk strolls by.

2020 Reunion
Host Families: Leon, George Oran, and Almie

Date: July 9,10, 11

We need you and your extended families in attendance next year!

It was noted that we need a sound system. Barry Lambson will look into this for us. Anyone have one they would like to donate?

The gnats were out in force. Barry will research bug lights powered by propane tanks or other options. By changing the date to July we might avoid this.

Lambson Book to be updated:
Lonnie Lambson is updating the Lambson family boo, "From Ridgewell to Ramah." All additions and updates must be to Lonnie by December 1, 2019 in a word document with photos. 176 S. 2100 East, St. George, Utah, 84790. Phone: 435-773-5099.

A quick estimate was done of the posterity of Frank Bates and Annie Laurie Lambson. It is over 800.

Go to our Lambson Family Facebook page for photos and updates. Join.

Thank you to Lovell and Dolly and Gen and Flora Lambson families and all those that assisted this year!

Please forward to your families as our distribution list is still limited. Please send any additional emails to lauriet@cox.net.

Thank you Laurie!
