Saving Ordinances Will Bring Us Marvelous Light
Elder Taniela B. Wakolo
"The prophet Amulek declared, 'This...is the time...to prepare to meed God' (Alma 34:32). How do we prepare? By worthily receiving ordinances. We must also, in President Russell M. Nelson's words, 'keep on the covenant path.' President Nelson continued, 'Your commitment to follow the Savior by making covenants with Him and then keeping those covenants will open the door to every spiritual blessing and privilege available to men, women, and children everywhere.'"

Russell M. Nelson, 4/14, #63. Let Your Faith Show.
" Day after day, on your path toward your eternal destiny, increase your faith. Proclaim your faith! Let your faith show!

"You cannot think your way to conversion, because you cannot convince your mind of something your heart does not feel." -Sheri Dew

I slept on the recliner last night because I could not get comfortable in bed with my right knee. I slept fine on the recliner, except I hallucinated. I saw a guy in a yellow jumpsuit standing by the table to the right of me. He was holding a bag of some sort in his hand. All of a sudden he floated up in the air and landed next to the caribou on the wall as if he was stuck there. Next I saw a big shadow below him that looked like a bear pawing the wall trying to get to this guy. So weird. I am pretty sure I was awake when I experienced this. Is there a hidden meaning or message behind what I saw? I think not.

James worked at the Howard's clearing trees a couple of hours this morning. He got home around 9:30, about the same time Anne  dropped off her five children. Anne is the Bishops' wife and she is going with Debra Brewer to do temple baptisms and to help her purchase garments. Debra is going through the temple next Thursday for the first time. Sister Reynolds will be her escort.

Andyn is the oldest of Bishop's kids and she is nine. Cathryn is 7, Hyrum is 4 almost 5, Uriah is almost 3, and Sophie will be a year old tomorrow. The children are very well behaved and the baby is as sweet as she can be.

I am still limping around with a stiff knee but I can hold and walk with the baby because she is so light. They snacked on goldfish and watched movies and played upstairs with the toys.

Hyrum and Uriah had the light sabers but Hyrum wanted his to work so James to it apart and put some batteries in it. It made the noise and light up sporadically. James spent a long time trying to fix it so it would light up correctly but it was too cheaply made. I think it cost $3. By the time he quit trying Hyrum had lost interest anyway.

Uriah does not talk much and I think this has been a concern to his parents. He reminds me of an old cartoon character, Gerald McBoing Boing. Gerald made noises but did not talk. Hyrum tried to say water and when he was waiting for his lunch of macaroni and cheese he said, with a frown on his face, yum, yum!

James took all the kids except Sophie on a Razr ride. They loved it until Cathryn got dirt in her face.

Uriah loves music. Andyn chose to watch the movie "Sleeping Beauty." When it was over Hyrum and Uriah chose "The Greatest Showman." Hyrum would watch awhile and then go do something else but Uriah sat and watched it the entire time.

Andyn relaxing on the couch. Hyrum and
Uriah watching the movie and Sophie deciding
which book she wants to pull off the shelf.
Cathryn was upstairs playing.

After watching "The Greatest Showman" the kids wanted to watch "Lion King." Anne got back after 3 and they were still watching the movie. After it was over they started acting like lions and chasing each other around. I guess while I was in the bedroom with Sophie Uriah started growling at James and he growled back at him. Uriah and Hyrum would try to sneak up on James and he would growl really loud at them and they would scream and run. This girls got in on the action too. They were so quiet and well-behaved until their mom got here.

At 4:00 I rested. I then made green smoothies for dinner, read to James, helped Laurann with the RS email, blogged, and help James make a green chili stew to take to the temple in the morning.

Andyn and Cathryn playing Barbies.
Sophie wants to play too.

Andyn notices Sophie.

Sophie gets her own Barbie and tosses
aside the baby doll.

Watching "The Greatest Showman" with Uriah
and supposedly feeding Sophie her bottle.

Does he know she's asleep.
I don't think so.

She didn't stay asleep until I took
her in the bedroom where she got about
a 45 minutes nap sitting on my lap in
the rocking chair.

After they left to go home Anne sent me this text:
Andyn as we were getting in the car at your house says:
"Wow! I had no idea it would be such an explosion at their house, I mean I knew it would be fun but not such an explosion of fun! How am I going to explain this to my cousins?!"
Thanks again!

Jesus Christ Authority of
DC 19:24
I am Jesus Christ; I came by the will of the Father, and I do His will.
Book of Mormon
Jacob 3:1-14
*Why does Jacob choose to say 'awake' in this chapter instead of just repent or change? What do you visualize in Jacob 3:11?
* What is the relationship between the riches of the world and the riches of eternity?

Old Testament
Deuteronomy 3-4
3 Israel destroys people of Bashan - Their lands, on east of Jordan, given to Reuben and Gad - Moses sees Canaan from Pisgah but is denied entrance thereto - He counsels and strengthens Joshua.
4 Moses exhorts Israel to keep commandments, to teach them to their children and to be exemplary before all nations - They are forbidden to make graven images or worship other gods - To witness that they had heard the voice of God - Israel shall be scattered among all nations when they worship other gods - They shall be gathered again in latter days when they seek the Lord their God - Moses extols mercy and goodness of God to Israel.

The Lord Leads His Church
President Henry B. Eyring
" There is a thread that binds us to the Lord in our service. It runs from wherever we are called to serve in the kingdom, up through those called to preside over us in the priesthood, and to the prophet, who is bound to the Lord. It takes faith and humility to serve in the place to which we are called, to trust that the Lord called us and those who preside over us, and to sustain them with full faith."

That Your Joy Might Be Full
 Sister Jean B. Bingham
" As we learn more about Jesus Christ, we develop greater faith in Him and we naturally want to follow His example. Keeping His commandments becomes our greatest desire. Our hearts yearn to relieve others' suffering, as He did, and we want them to experience the peace and happiness we have found."

James is always so miserable when he gets up in the morning and today was no different. I sympathize with him but usually it just takes some time and, oh yes, some lemon juice.

The snow is all gone except for a few small patches here and there. Hopefully we will get some more.

One of our ward members, I will call him Brother Scott, was assigned to clean the church this past week. No one else that was assigned was able to be there, including his wife who is quite ill. Brother Scott went down at 8:30 on Saturday to clean and at 4:00, after Charlie's baptism he was still there cleaning. Now that's dedication! I already loved this brother, but now I love him even more.

I am struggling with trying to give up sugar. It is much harder for me than giving up Dr. Pepper 10. I have not had any since the 4th of March.

James went upstairs to work on taxes and had a difficult time getting on our bank website. I finally had to go up and help him. It is usually him helping me so it's nice that I can help him once in awhile.

For lunch we had steak, baked potatoes, and a salad. Afterwards I had a nice nap.

This afternoon I blogged, walked, and read to James. Somehow I missed cleaning. Around 4:30 we left for Show Low. James went to Home Depot to look for some wax remover for the wood floor. I went to Walmart to get a dessert for Sister Howard whom I am visiting tomorrow. Her birthday is on Thursday. Not only am I her visiting teacher, I consider her a good friend.

Home Depot had no wax remover so on the way home I ordered some online from Walmart.

James grilled me a cheeseburger for dinner. We had four hamburger patties left from when Max, Evan, and Joshua were here.

For FHE we listened to Sister Bingham's conference talk, "That Your Joy Might Be Full." I also showed James around the Family Search website.

I quit watching "Upstairs, Downstairs" on my phone. It got to be too racy. Instead I am watching "Little Men" which is a TV series based on the book "Little Men" by Louisa May Alcott. The March sisters Jo, Amy and Meg are all in it, and so is Lauri.

I think I post this every year.

Our bishop and his buddy.

What is it about seals that I like?
Maybe it's the cute face.

Trina and the kids in Sedona.

Tomlinson's and their cousins in D.C.

Looks like an elephant to me, or a
woolly mammoth.

Be Ye Therefore Perfect - Eventually
Jeffrey R. Holland
" I testify of that grand destiny, made available to us by the Atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ, who Himself continued 'from grace to grace.' until in HIs immortality He received a perfect fulness of celestial glory. I testify that in this and every hour He is, with nail-scarred hands, extending to us that same grace, holding on to us and encouraging us, refusing to let us go until we are safely home in the embrace of Heavenly Parents."

I got up at 4:36. I read Elder Cook's article in this month's Ensign.
He likened the millions of children killed in the holocaust to abortion.

I made the copycat recipe for Panera broccoli-cheese soup.  It turned out pretty good. I made rolls for us and rolls for the temple tomorrow.

Blogger was not working when I went to work on my blog so I emptied a box instead, finished walking, and scraped polish off the wood floor. I also tried to download a movie on my phone but my internet connection wasn't allowing it.

James broke his chainsaw trying to cut up the fallen tree.

I went upstairs and began framing The Living Christ for each family to give for Easter. I got three done and then I went downstairs and worked on my blog.

It's 7:15 and at 7:30 I have a date to watch an episode of "Heartland" with James. I am watching "New in Town" on my phone. Too much bad language in this movie.

Well I am on my date watching "Heartland." I am sitting on the couch in my regular spot and James is at the table eating a grapefruit. Some date.

This looks like a scene from
