Our gang of elk came by for a visit this morning. Luna doesn't pay much attention to them. I think her mind is on when James is going to come out and feed her.

After prayer and scriptures James left for the Howard's.

As I was working on my blog this morning and eating kettle corn, I noticed something a little sharp on one of my teeth in the front. It was the tooth that Dr. Douglas had patched for me and part of the "patch" came off. This seals the deal. I can't smile and show my teeth until I get it fixed.

I started a new online book today. It is a novel called, "His Lady in Hiding."

I have added a couple of things to my daily schedule. One: Take a carrot to Luna in the morning and Two: Take an apple to Luna in the afternoon.

I cooked some navy beans I found in the pantry today. When I was at Walmart I looked for some pinto beans but there were not any. James loves beans and has been asking for me to cook some. I cooked them today and he loved them. I also made banana nut muffins and was going to make corn muffins but all of the boxes of mix had weevils. I made biscuits instead.

James and I set a date to clean out the pantry, a long overdue chore that we have been putting off. I could do it myself but for some reason James wants to help. First we said this coming Saturday the 25th but then I remembered that Erik and his family will be here so we changed it to May 2nd. It is probably going to be an all day affair.

I had 19 books I couldn't send off this week. This is normally the night that we watch a movie but James had to finish doing taxes so I was left downstairs alone. I decided instead of watching a movie that I would take those 19 books and put them in inventory as Merchant Fulfilled. As I was doing this I was getting discouraged thinking how I would not make nearly as much money as I would if I could send them in as Amazon fulfilled Prime.
After I had done about four or five books I noticed a message posted on the Amazon sellers site. It said that more books could be sent in as of April 18th. I figured it was worth a try to check and see if my books could be sent in. To my amazement all of them could be sent in. I got so excited that I began getting all of the 19 books ready for shipment.

Instead of sending all of the books to California the shipment was split up and I had to send 3 to Illinois and 3 to New Jersey. The other 13 went to California where I normally ship to. Because I had to ship three boxes it took a little longer than normal. I was finished somewhere around 10.

James had finished with his taxes and I asked him if he wanted to watch an episode of "Lark Rise to Candleford." He said yes so we watched an episode and determined that we both really like this show. Thomas and Margaret who have not ever had any children bought a dog. They named her Amelia Cordelia, after Margaret's mother and Thomas's grandmother. They treated the dog with such love and concern. It reminded me of some people I know and their dogs.

We made it to bed before midnight.

"Come, Follow Me" - The Lord's Counterstrategy
and Proactive Plan
Mark L. Pace
"With the 'Come, Follow Me' resource, the Lord is preparing us 'for the perilous times that we now face'. He is helping us establish that 'sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall' (Helaman 5:12) - the foundation of a testimony anchored firmly in the bedrock of our conversion to the Lord Jesus Christ.
May our daily efforts in studying the scriptures fortify us and prove us worthy of these promised blessings. I so pray in the name of Jesus Christ, amen."

I have a nearly 360 view when I walk around the house and look out my different windows. Beginning with the dining room, here is what I saw: Springerville - sun and scattered clouds, kitchen window - Lakeside more clouds, Front door windows - Show Low - dark and overcast, Snowflake, Holbrook - my bedroom window - darker and more overcast than Show Low. We will see how this affects us here in Vernon. Pierce said when he moved here that someone told him, "if you don't like the weather in Vernon, wait 5 minutes and it will change."

I picked up my friend Jean a little before 11. We drove to Show Low and had lunch at Native, Jean's favorite place to eat. She loves their chicken, walnut, apple salad. I tried the lettuce wrap salad. It was okay but I wouldn't order it again.

Mystery was our waitress. This is at least the third time she has waited on us. Yes, there is a story to her name, but I can't remember all of the details so I won't share it here. It had something to do with a "mystery" at the time of her birth.

Tom came before we were finished eating. He had just had some dental work done so he didn't order anything. He ended up paying the bill although I told him this was for Jean's birthday. I did have another gift for her, a basket with my favorite lotion and body wash, some Cadburry mini eggs, and other miscellaneous items like I gave Sandra Wilhelm. I gave Jean the basket as we were leaving and she was most grateful. Jean has a doctor's appointment at 3 and so she and Tom were going to hang out at Walmart until it was time for her appointment. The doctor is concerned about the function of her liver and how it is not appearing on the scans they have done.
I wonder if Tom and Jean were able to get into Walmart. They closed it down for awhile because of a fire in the backroom.

On the way home I stopped at the Cat store and picked up the fuel pump James ordered.

James hadn't fixed himself any lunch while I was gone so when I got home I fixed him a tuna melt sandwich with some tomato soup.

James is having fits trying to get the fuel pump in. He says he doesn't have the right kind of tool. He finally "made" something that would work but the space to work in is so small he was getting really frustrated. He finally got it in and then the Cat wouldn't start. More frustration. He ordered the part for the other Cat and he put it in and it doesn't work either. He finally called the mechanic for some advice.

James also worked on the railings off the balcony of Sheri and Ian's room. I think he enjoys doing this and it gave him some respite from his vehicle problems.

The rest of the strawberry shortcake disappeared today. I wonder where it went. I worked on my Life Story a little, and went on Family Search and ran off the four baptisms I found in Ordiances Ready. I studied "Come Follow Me" and the Restoration and walked. It was a good day. We did end up getting some rain.

Fun Times

Happy Birthday Tanner!

 How scary!

The Tesarek's got to ride the Cats at the ski run.

It's great that Deb's family took her with
them on their spring break trip. I'm sure
it helps keep her from getting too lonely.

 I love this!
