Jesus Christ, Good Shepherd
DC 10:59
I am he who said - Other sheep have I which are not of this fold - unto my disciples, and many there were that understood me not.

New Testament: Philippians 1-2: "I Can Do All Things Through Christ Which Strengtheneth Me"

General Conference
After the Trial of Our Faith
Elder Jorge M. Alvarado
"As we follow God's voice and His covenant path, He will strengthen us in our trials."

The following is from Emily Belle Freeman's book
"Making It Through the Middle"
"Do not question too much, dear friend,
For the God who ordained the beginning
Can safely be trusted with the end,
As well as with all that lies between."

Did you know that the Lord Jesus Christ is mentioned by name over fifty times in the four chapters of Philippians.

James had an elk answer around 6:30 this morning so he went out "camera stalking" for about two hours.  Here are some of the photos he took:

If you look closely he has an x on his nose.

Looks like he's been in the mud.

I asked James what a satellite bull was. He said it's a bull that
follows the herd bull and his herd, hoping the herd bull with
share a cow or two with him.

As I was walking this morning I got a call from my brother Harold. He was out walking his dogs and was just checking to see how I was doing since we haven't seen each other for awhile. How thoughtful. We talked about the Show Low football team and how they have been riddled with injuries, including Quentin, Monte's youngest. They are down to their third string quarterback and Harold says he doesn't think they will make it to the playoffs for the first time in a long time. At the beginning of the year they were very hopeful that they would be one of the better teams in the league.

I don't think I got enough sleep last night because I was extremely tired this afternoon. I sold my Catmopolitan magazine and James went to the post office to mail it not realizing that it was Columbus day. Now I have another book to mail, "The Warded Man." I guess they will both have to go out tomorrow.

James went over to the Kostusiak's to help finish the ramp they are building for Dave's wheelchair. He saw Colin DeWitt there and Colin said he would help clean the temple Saturday night. Let the recruiting begin!

James went to town and got what he needed to fix the woodsplitter. He got some wood split before it broke again. I told him I didn't think he should leave it out in the elements. He needs to get a cover for it.

I bought two books this evening.

Brother Curtis and Sean Hunsaker came over this evening and gave James a blessing of health. He is having surgery in the morning for his hiatal hernia.

We watched "Crossword Mysteries" this evening starring Lacey Chabert and Brennan Elliott.

Tijuana, Mexico

Jesus Christ, Glory of
DC 110:3
His eyes were as a flame of fire; the hair of his head was white like the pure snow; his countenance shone above the brightness of the sun; and his voice was as the sound of the rushing of great waters, even the voice of Jehovah, saying:

Helaman 10:1-19
New Testament : Galatians "Walk in the Spirit"
Galatians 4

General Conference
Exercising Our Spiritual Muscles
Elder Juan Pablo Villar
"I bear my witness that we are children of a loving Heavenly Father. His Son, Jesus Christ, loves us He came to this world to show us the way and then gave His life voluntarily to give us hope. The Savior invites us to follow His perfect example, to exercise our faith in Him and His Atonement, and to expand all the spiritual gifts that we have been blessed with. He is the way. This is my testimony, in the name of Jesus Christ, amen."

This is the one time of the year that James sometimes gets up before I do. He goes out and blows his elk call. If any answer close by he puts on his camos and takes off with the camera and binoculars.

We read Galatians 4 today as part of our scripture study. I did not know that Ishmael represents the Law of Moses and Isaac represents Abraham and the Law of Christ.

James goes upstairs to work after scriptures and his big breakfast. I guess he doesn't like the fact that I always have the fan on at the dining room table.

I sold a book today, did some research and buying, and repriced some books. I finished my walking by 5:30 because we are watching the Grapp kids tonight and I won't be able to walk once they get here. I had 15,000 steps by 5:30.

Sister Dye passed away around 3 a.m. this morning. James got a text from her granddaughter Tanna.

We watched all the Grapp kids, including baby Leland while Thomas and Cammy went to work on their barn. I guess that's their idea of a date, something they can do alone together.

The girls had horse jumping lessons in Star Valley today so Benson had alot of pent up energy. He had his own little nerf gun war going on. Liana was a huge help with Leland. She changed diapers and made sure he was happy.

Tildy was a little subdued. She fell off her horse today and was pretty quiet. Thank goodness she had a helmet on.

I made some popcorn and we watched "When Hope Calls."
Emsley just turned six and she is the best little TV watcher. She sat on my recliner seat and never moved while James fed her M&M's and I made her popcorn.

It was a fun-filled evening. The girls played Barbies and Calico Critters, and Emsley and I colored.  When Thomas and Cammy got home Liana had stripped Leland down to his diaper because she thought he was hot. I think Cammy was a little miffed but he was happy after being a little fussy.

The kids all gave us a hug when they left and Emsley said: "Thank you for letting us come."

I couldn't resist posting this cute picture.

This is what I love about Great Britain.

 Liana and Leland.
This boy has the longest eyelashes I've ever seen.
We want Charlie to meet him.

I guess I did get steps while watching the
Grapp kids.
