I couldn't sleep last night. Finally I got up around 3am and took some Nyquil and slept until 6am.
After my shower this morning I checked my phone. There was a message from Armando. He said he has been trying to got a hold of James since yesterday afternoon. He doesn't answer phone calls or texts. I told him I would try to get in touch with James.
First I thought of calling Paul Peeler before realizing I don't have his number. I then called Brother Hipps. Brother Hipps was in Eagar working with his son. He gave me Kristine's number so I called her. Kristine is his wife. She was at home and was able to tell James to call me. I told him Armando needed to talk with him. I asked him to please make sure that his phone was turned on. I tried calling him later and he still didn't answer.
Tom came in this morning, had a little something to eat then slept on "his" chair in the entry/family room. When he woke up he ate a little bit more then went outside. He pretty much ignored me.
James and I have both seen another cat outside and James thinks that Tom is afraid of him because at night Tom doesn't come when James calls.
I fixed James some beans today and he was so happy. I finally found something he really likes to eat. I wish I liked them a little better.
Happy 97th Birthday, Mom. James called his mom this evening to wish her a Happy Birthday. She said it had been a very busy day with lots of phone calls and visits. She truly does have a huge fan club.
