We should never assert that a faithful Latter-day Saint cannot belong to a particular party or vote for a particular candidate. We teach correct principles and leave our members to choose how to prioritize and apply those principles on the issues presented from time to time. We also insist, and we ask our local leaders to insist, that political choices and affiliations not be the subject of teachings or advocacy in any of our Church meetings.

We solemnly proclaim that God loves His children in every nation of the world. God the Father has given us the divine birth, the incomparable life, and the infinite atoning sacrifice of His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ. By the power of the Father, Jesus rose again and gained the victory over death. He is our Savior, our Exemplar, and our Redeemer.
I slept on the recliner last night. I had some early morning cereal and two aspirins and two tramadol. When James came in we had scriptures and prayer together. I signed up at the beginning of the month to feed the missionaries today. I spoke to them and they are expecting a meal. One of the missionaries, Elder Cluff, is not feeling well so we are going to deliver the meal to them this afternoon after 5.
I made a list and James did my errands today. Not only did he buy groceries but he went to the post office to mail a thank you to Dawn and Lois, a gold #3 balloon to Charlie, a box of Built bars to Ben, and to return a teapot to Amazon. Bless his heart!
I got a call from my friend Karen S. today. She sent me a card earlier. We had a nice visit. She told me about Lance's experience with prostate cancer and his treatment. She is still doing treatments for her cancer also and doesn't get out too much of anywhere else.
We had lots of thunder, lightning and rain today. I love these kinds of days. While James was gone the Dish tech, Justin, came. He put in a new satellite dish for us and now all of the channels work fine. Thank you Justin.
I talked to one of the sisters that I minister to, Tanna today. She is still waiting for someone to bless her baby so I told James to get things moving. I also spoke to my good friend Ginger. She contacted me and said she "wanted to talk" but I was sick. Now I think she is getting close to being ready to talk. She came to church for awhile but something is bothering her and she has not been for months. She is one of the sweetest sisters I have ever met, and so kind!
I spent the afternoon in the kitchen cooking. First I made a pot of Wendy's chili and turned it down to simmer. I also made cornbread, green beans with bacon, and a Texas sheetcake. James boxed it all up and delivered it while I sat down to rest. I watched "The Great British Baking Show" on Netflix. James and I listened to "Celebration for Cecelia."
After James cleaned the kitchen we watched the latest episode of "Aurora Teagarden."
I read chapter 5 of "God Will Prevail", The Covenant. The chapters in this book are so good and I am learning so much about The Abrahamic Covenant.
