Of the Seventy
Seasons of our lives can take us to places both unexpected and undesirable. If sin has led you there, pull back the curtain of darkness and begin now to humbly approach your Heavenly Father with a broken heart and a contrite spirit and repent. He will hear you earnest prayer. With courage today, "draw near unto Him and He will draw near unto you." You are never beyond the healing power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ.

We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
James left at five for the valley. I texted him the scripture assignments for the day. We had prayer before he left. I left for town at 9:15 for my 9:50 appointment at Barnett-Delaney Eye Center. I told Dr. Palmer about my left eye and how I can't see well out of it faraway. He ordered several tests and then came in to tell me what was wrong. I should have taken notes or recorded what he said but basically there were two things: The first one I remember the picture he should me but I don't remember what he said. I believe it was something about my retina. The second thing he said was that the casing around the lens they put in had become foggy. Right now it is minimal but they want to see me in a year. If it progressively gets worse I may have to have a laser procedure done. This procedure is called Yag Laser Capsulotomy. Here is the definition I found on Google: A Yag Laser Capsulotomy is a laser procedure where the eye is dilated, giving the doctor a view of the protein buildup behind the implanted lens. The Yag laser clears protein film to restore vision.
I had lunch at Panda and then went to Walmart to get the ingredients I need for the dinner I am taking to the Goodman's tonight. I am making chicken noodle soup with Ramen noodles, a strawberry, spinach, almond salad with poppy seed dressing, croissants, and four of the flower cupcakes Catherine gave me, and 8 blueberry muffins.
I got home around 1:30-2. After putting groceries away I rested on the recliner before actually making dinner.
When I left to deliver dinner at 5:30 it was raining. Since Barbara is sick, she didn't come out but she had left me a little table to put the food on. Here are the texts that I received from Barbara after I got home. Barbara: "Wow! You are awesome! Thank you, thank you!!!
I said I hoped everything tasted okay. She said, the salad was delicious and the soup was perfect. I thought the soup was borderline too salty. It's fun to cook for people who really appreciate your cooking. Barbara and Pierce are such dear friends. She brought me two or three meals when I was sick.
This evening I watched the second week of "Dancing with the Stars." Thank goodness Martin Kove went home. Cheryl has Covid so she and her partner were not there tonight. They were judged on their performance at rehearsal this week.
I stayed up late walking until I got over 12,000 steps.
