"Our Sorrow Shall Be Turned Into Joy"
Elder S. Mark Palmer
I invite all who feel sorrow, all who wrestle with doubt, all who wonder what happens after we die, to place your faith in Christ. I promise that if you desire to believe, then act in faith and follow the whisperings of the Spirit, you will find joy in this life and in the world to come.

Family Proclamation
#6
Husband and Wife have a solemn responsibility to love and care for each other and for their children. "Children are an heritage of the Lord" (Psalm 127:3). Parents have a sacred duty to rear their children in love and righteousness, to provide for their physical and spiritual needs, and to teach them to love and serve one another, observe the commandments of God, and be law-abiding citizens wherever they live. Husbands and wives - mothers and fathers - will be held accountable before God for the discharge of these obligations.

Inklings
 Affirmation
I am entrusted to create a welcoming environment in His church, full of grace, so that all can feel His love and discover the fullness of His gospel.

Up at 5:11. I read on Facebook that one of our friends from high school had a son pass away from Covid over the weekend. The friend's name is Loretta. She is the only Loretta I knew in high school. She grew up in Show Low and was in the Show Low first ward while I was in the Show Low second ward. Loretta was one of those people I was not best friends with but she was always nice and kind. When we needed to borrow some money she helped us get a home equity loan on our cabin in Pinedale. At this time she worked as a loan officer at Chase bank.  He son that passed left behind a wife and six children. My friend Karen S. knows Loretta because she is in her ward in Gilbert. Karen says that three of Dustin's children, (Loretta's son), have Covid. I'm not sure if Dustin lives up here or in the valley. Loretta and her husband Randy whom we also went to school with, although he was a little older, have three girls and two boys. Now we know two people who died of Covid recently.

James left for town before 7:30. I leave at 7:50. I picked him up at Discount Tire where he left his truck to get new tires. I took James to the Cancer Center for his two appointments and then went across to do some shopping at Walmart. James wanted some more pomegranate juice because it is effective in treating cancer. While I was shopping I saw the Bowen's from our ward. I guess they took Christy to school and decided to come to town. I also bought some more cake baking accessories.

After Walmart I went across the street to Circle K to wash my car. While I was in the carwash James called and said he was finished with his appointments and would walk back to the hospital. By the time I got across the street he was by Wendy's and I passed him up but stopped down the road and he ran and jumped in the car.

James wanted to go to the health food store, Natural Remedies and I wanted to go to the church bookstore, the Book Barn. They are two doors down from each other so this worked at well. The reason I wanted to go to Book Barn was to get baptism gifts and cards for Emsley and Eden, and something for Liana's birthday. Today is her birthday but I won't be going over until tomorrow. I picked out three necklaces and two cards when Sister Bowen came in. I asked her if she was following me and she laughed. Sean needed to go next door to get a new oxygen tank. When I went outside James was talking to Sean who was sitting in his car. I guess the health food store is closed on Monday's so he's going to have to come back.

Back to Discount Tire so James can pick up his truck and then we head for home. I listened to a new book called "Bonds of Loyalty."

As I was resting I got a call from my neighbor Kathy. She said Chuck was going to the dump and do we have any garbage for him to take. We always have garbage. Thanks Chuck. As I was talking to Kathy I told her about Wendy D. Kathy is the compassionate service leader in our ward and she is a great cook. I told her that I wanted to take Wendy a cake on Wednesday for her 70th birthday. She said she had some Cafe Rio meat and would make some burros, rice, and a salad.
We decided we would meet Wednesday morning by her gate. From the DeWitt's she will go into town to her appointments.

James and I listened to a couple of chapters from Blackmoor before he went out to work in the trenches. I did two blog posts today, Friday and Saturday, walked 12,000 steps and indexed. I also did a little cleaning. I had pumpkin Cheerios for dinner and James had squash and mushrooms. We were in bed by 10:30.

Happy Birthday Kacey!
