In the Bible we find a wonderful example of caring for a poor little one:
"Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.
"And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;
"Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.
"And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.
"And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.
"Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. "And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength" (Acts 3:1-7).

The Articles of Faith
#9
We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.

I like Saturday mornings at home. I like knowing the next day is Sunday, my favorite day of the week. I Indexed, listened to women's conference talks, blogged and listened to more talks, and had scriptures and prayer with James. It's a great way to start the day.

Women's conference talks I listened to today:
"Bridges, Not Barricades: Fostering Understanding and Unity in a Divisive World - by Sister Liz Darger

"Understanding Crucial Differences between Shame and Guilt" - by
Lori Ann Draper & Lori Newbold

"Relationships with Loved Ones during Faith Transitions" - by Brother Spencer Fluhman

"Opening Doors for Education: BYU-Pathway Blessing Women Around the World" - by Brother Clark G. Gilbert

"Bridging the Gap between All the Temple Offers and Our Current Understanding" - by Clark and Kathleen Hinckley

There is a new internet company in town. It's called Starlink. It costs $500 to get started and is $99 a month. It sounds like a lot of money but the speeds are super fast and I am so tired of our slow, sometimes unresponsive wifi. It's something we will look into if they offer it as far out as we are.

James went to Willie Grombach's baptism this afternoon. He said it was one of the most spiritual baptisms he has ever been to. Willie is tall and weighs about 300 lbs. The bishop, who is tall and thin, baptized him. Tomorrow he will be confirmed

After the baptism James went to town. He said he was going for wire and horse feed but he also got me some gifts for Mother's Day. A beautiful bouquet of roses, steak and cheesecake and fresh strawberries for tomorrow's dinner.

I made bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwiches for dinner with leftover homemade chicken noodle soup. Afterwards we settled down for the evening.

James indexed and filled plastic vials with extra virgin olive oil. We determined what extra virgin means because James wondered.

I walked and watched the newest Hallmark movie, "Baby, It's Cold Inside."
