'Remember Your Way Back Home'
Jose A. Teixeira
Of the Presidency of the Seventy
One of the most important things we can do in this life is to recognize and remember the pathway back to our Heavenly Father and faithfully and joyfully persevere throughout the journey.
I though of four reminders that, when used and applied consistently in our lives, can rekindle feelings of our heavenly home.
'God Loves His Children'
Elder Taniela B. Wakolo
Of the Seventy
Our most valuable relationships are with the Father and the Son and with our own families because our ties to them are eternal. The great plan of happiness is a wonderful manifestation of God's love for us. With eyes riveted on God's plan, we willingly choose to carve out soil and rocks within us that support selfish desires and replace them with foundations that build eternal relationships. In a sense, this can be called "spiritual excavation." In performing our spiritual excavation, we must first seek after God and call upon Him (see Jeremiah 29:12-13).
P#1
As we commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ two millennia ago, we offer our testimony of the reality of His matchless life and the infinite virtue of His great atoning sacrifice. None other has had so profound an influence upon all who have lived and will yet live upon the earth.
Inklings
Be better, not bitter. Don't throw stones. Be a stonecatcher.

Family Memory
Addy was somewhere between 1-2 when this happened. Trina is in the bathroom and the phone rings. Addy puts her face under the door saying, "Hello, hello."
Today was the first day I have worked at the temple since February 29th, 2020. James is not going, he is feeling sick today. I left before 5:30 for a 6:45 prayer meeting. It is a beautiful time of day to be out on the road. Not much traffic and it is so peaceful. I listened to the two conference talks I had scheduled for today and also Alma 4 and D&C 57.
I was one of the first workers to arrive at the temple, which is a good feeling. I was greeted by Brother Elmer and Sister Elmer, our two co-ordinators. I visited with Sister Gentry in the dressing room and when I found out she knew Harold and Dennis and attended church in the downtown Show Low chapel where I attended as a teenager, I felt closer to her. On the way to prayer meeting I spoke with Sister Hamblin from Eager and asked if her daughter would be working today. She told me she got married and moved to SanTan Valley. A lot can happen in 15 months.
Brother and Sister Toronto of the temple presidency conducted our prayer meeting which was held in the downstairs chapel. After the meeting the first thing I was scheduled to do was meet with Sister Elmer for some training. She took me to the veil and showed me what I needed to do as far as sanitizing and having the patrons sanitize before coming to the veil. I also studied the veil dialogue sheet and felt like I was ready to be the first follower in the first session. Actually, the only sister follower in the first session because there is only one now instead of two.
Brother Gentry was the officiator. We had a new couple receiving their endowments and then they were going to be sealed. There were five other sisters and five other brothers. The group was from Holbrook. When Brother Gentry went to demonstrate how to go through the veil there was no receiver so he just stood there and listened to the moderator. Next, when it was time to go through the veil there were no receivers. Finally one came for Brother Gentry, but none for me. I finally went out in the hallway and told Sister Elmer. Soon Brother Bob Neff came to receive. None of the sisters in this group needed help at the veil except of course the sister who was doing her own endowment. After the session was over Brother Gentry apologized but I felt that much of what happened was not his fault. He obviously needed more training and others were not doing their part. Brother Vance came in and apologized.
Sister Elmer asked me to be in the prayer circle for the next session as they were one sister short. Sister Hamblin was the follower in this session and she came out to tell me that the curtain over the veil was still up. I told Sister Elmer and she said if the patrons were already in the room it was too late to do anything. Brother Webb, who was the officiator for this session refused to continue until the curtain was down so Sister Hamblin found someone else to help her. Soon the curtain was down and the session continued. I went in to be in the prayer circle and while like Brother Gentry, Brother Webb gave a beautiful prayer neither of them blessed the names lying on the alter.
Before leaving to go home I went into the records office and asked what Liana needed to do to make an appointment for baptisms. Sister Williams told me that the appointments are made a month ahead. The new calendar for July would come out the morning, starting at 1 am, of June 1st. I thanked her and when I got home I called Cammy and told her.
On the way home I got a junior burger at Sonic for my lunch. I was home a little after noon. James had some sad news to share with me. It was a very windy day today and Anthony's neighbor, Forest had decided to burn some trash in a barrel. The fire got out of control and spread to his house, which burned to the ground. It also went to the pump house. The firemen were not able to do too much because of low water pressure. Forest is devastated. He has a home in Chandler but he is raising cattle to sell and spends a lot of time up here. When Anthony called James he was very upset because he had some valuable items that were destroyed in the fire and he was going to tell Forest how stupid he was to build a fire on such a windy day. James told him that would do no good and would only make Forest feel worse than he probably already did. He told Anthony to offer him comfort and understanding and help him through this tragedy. Anthony thanked James and said he would do just that. Instead of a forest fire it was Forest's fire.
I came home and took a long nap and then got up to do some walking. James and I listened to the prologue for our new book, "A Banner is Unfurled." I started watching another movie on my phone starring Bailee Madison "Cowgirls and Angels."
It was a good day for me. I am so grateful I got to work in the temple.
