 Sunrise
James is feeling much better today now that he is no longer taking the sulfa drug.  I fixed him some eggs for breakfast.

I worked on the talk I am giving on Sunday today about keeping the Sabbath day holy.  I am beginning to get a little stressed.

For lunch I fixed some stirfry and then we watched The Walton's and took a nap.  This afternoon I typed an invoice to give to Zaki for items he owes us for.  As I was working I got a call from LeeAnn Hunsaker.  She is home alone and was wondering if she could come over.  I picked her up on the Razr but before coming home we go to town to get the mail.  When we get home we snack and watch a movie.  LeeAnn picked out "How to Lose A Guy in Ten Days."  I asked her if she was sure her mom would be ok with her watching this movie and she said yes, she had seen it before, that it was Kaylynn's favorite movie. Luckily her mom came to get her before the movie got too bad.  James and I determined it is one of those movies we don't want in our home.

Chuck came by for a short visit before dinner.  I made pork chips, coleslaw and broccoli and cauliflower blend.  Some others things I did today: washed the car, did the dishes, and spent some more time writing my talk for Sunday.  We had a hard rain this evening.

James woke up with nausea and diarrehea this morning.  Since I am allergic to sulfa drugs I looked at the side effects for sulfamethoxazole and nausea and diarrehea were included.  I did not give him his morning does of this medicine.  I tried to call Dr. Jaros, the attending physician at the hospital but could never get through.

James slept all morning and was so sweaty when he woke up we had to change his clothes and bedding.

It was a gorgeous morning!!  It rained hard for a short time.  Everything is so beautiful and green!  This is one of my favorite times of the year!

James had visitors today, MaKenzi and LeeAnn Hunsaker.  They brought him a get well basket with games and goodies and then stayed awhile to visit.  It was so nice of them.  A few years back MaKenzi broke her leg while jumping on the trampoline so she and James bonded over their injuries.

I got to the hospital before 8am which is unusual for me, even though it was slow going and rush hour traffic.  It rained on me most of the way.  I brought James oatmeal and a blueberry pomegranate smoothie from McDonald's.  James gets to go home today!

Dr. Jaros, the doctor on call at the hospital wrote James some prescriptions before he left.  I told him to give us hydrocodon instead of oxycodon so he did.  Trina and the kids came by for a visit.  Each of the kids brought a gift bag with something in each one that they had made for James.

Trina was going to Sears in Chandler to get her car serviced and was going to hang out at the Chandler Mall with the kids while she waited.  I asked her if she could get me a Tinkerbell doll at the Disney Store for Molly's birthday.  She said she would and I gave her my credit card.

James and I left the hospital around 1:30 and headed for Chandler.  James is meeting Lloyd at Zaki's where Lloyd is going to do some work for him.  He also had to sign payroll checks.  I dropped him off and went to the CVS  on Pecos and McQueen to get James's prescriptions filled.  I also went by the bank to get counter checks.  James got his picture taken with Sheri before we left for home.

We got a couple of bean burros and a green chili burro at Filibertos only to be sorely disappointed.  The price we pay for not going through Miami and getting burros at Burger House.

I love the ride home through Payson as we reach the higher elevations and the clouds begin to form.  The fire danger signs are changed from extreme to low.  As we leave dry, cloudless, Show Low we can see ahead the dark skies over Vernon.

Quite a storm!

It has been raining hard here and we caught the very end of it.  We are both very happy to be here.  James was in an especially good mood.  We watched an episode of Rizzoli & Isles and one or two of the Walton's before going to bed.  James's new meds: hudrocodon for pain. Amoxicillin  and sulfamethoxazole for antibiotics.

Woke up at 2;30 am and decided to wash out my only pair of garments.  I laid them on the air hockey table and turned the fan on to dry them.  I tried to go  back to sleep but had a hard time.  The last time I looked at the clock it was 3:30 am.  The next time was 7:05, time to get up.  I got up and went through our pile of mail.  I got a note from our dental insurance that they didn't cover my crown because my insurance expired.  (I looked in to this and it was a big mistake.  I am no longer under James's policy but under my through Cobra.  They did end up paying for my crown and now I need to schedule to have another one. )  I think I may wait until next year to get my next crown.

Before I leave for the hospital I drag the air mattress in the house and fill it with air.  Just as I was ready to leave I got a call from Sheri asking me if I could take Ben to school because his bike has a flat tire.  Ben asks if we can take Ian Wanlass too.  Sure, but he will have to ride in the back on Grandpa's bed.  I drop Ben and Ian off at Bogle Junior High and make a deposit at Chase bank.  While there I see that a new cupcake place is opening on Queen Creek and Alma School near Pei Wei.
Gigi's Cupcakes
After leaving the bank I drive across the street to McDonald's to get some breakfast, a diet coke and a bacon egg biscuit.  James can't eat until the doctor reads the results of the MRI and lets us know if he needs another surgery.  He will need surgery if the infection has reached the metal in his leg.  As I'm driving towards the freeway I decide to go get gas and wash the Vernon mud and dust off Lexy so I head for Sam's Club.  It is after 9:30 before I arrive at the hospital.  James is asleep but when I give him a kiss he wakes up and asks me if I will help him email payroll to Stephanie at Comprehensive Business.  We have at least five people we are paying 40 regular hours and twenty overtime hours for the Desert Highlands job.  Payroll was over $5,000.
 James trying to do payroll

Good news!  James's leg looks much better and he won't have to have surgery to wash it out.  Thank goodness!

I was leaving to do some shopping when James called and said he could eat, so I went back in to the grill and got him a grilled ham and cheese on rye.  I never did go shopping.  I went home around 6:30 and watched Masterpiece Theater "The Execution" on Hulu Plus.

James was up before 4am and so I got up to.  We left right at 5.  The air mattress I bought for him fit perfectly in the back of my car.  The only problem is by the end of the trip most of the air had leaked out.  We made it to the imaging center and James forgot about not standing on his leg and almost made a crash landing out of the back of the car.  He grabbed the walker just in time.  After the x-rays we drove a couple of blocks south to Ortega's office, Sonoran Orthopaedic.  As the aide took the bandage off James's leg looked red.  I told him I thought it looed infected.  When Brittany, the PA, came in she said it looked infected and she didn't want to take any chances so she sent him across the street to the hospital ER.

We waited in the Er until 1pm.  I had to leave for my dental appointment where they put on my new crown.  Now I need another one because I lost my left upper back filling on the way here chewing on a piece of jerky.  Will I never learn?

James was admitted to the hospital and immediately put on IV antibiotics.  This time he is in room 501.  We had planned on returning home this afternoon so I did not bring any clothes or my meds with me.  Luckily I did bring my makeup.  I wanted to go home to get my meds but James didn't want me to so I didn't go.

I brought James a Whataburger and stayed until around 6:30.  I am exhausted so I leave a little early to go back to Chandler.  Dave and Laura came to visit after I left and brought him dark chocolate covered almonds.  Zaki also came by around 2 am.

James had an MRI last night and he said it was very painful.

Joshua lost his two front teeth.

I left the house before 8 o'clock this morning for Show Low.  Churck Crane told me Center Tire was a good place to get my oil changed and to have my tires rotated and balanced.  He recommended that I get there when they open at 8 am.  I did and they took me right in.  They had the synthetic oil I use in my car and did everything I asked them to in less than an hour.  I shopped at The Dollar Store and then I went to Persnikkity's and ordered some eggs benedict for James and a cherry turnover for me.

I enjoyed so much my ride back to Vernon.  I love how green the grass is and I love watching the dark clouds roll up from behind the mountains.  I love looking at the temperature and seeing that it is 70 degrees.

When I got home James was up working at the desk in the bedroom on the computer.  When I left the computer had been in the dining room.  Don't ask me how he managed to move it.  He did his office work today in preparation for us going to the valley tomorrow.

First day of school in Chandler:
Max 4th grade, Ben 8th grade, and Evan 1st grade

Neither Gail nor Lloyd want to accept any money for working last week at Desert Highlands.  Wow!  We still plan on paying them when we get paid for the job.

I paid some bills today.  I hate to watch James's hard earned money disappear but I am grateful we have money to pay the bills.

James got a call from Dr. Ortega's office telling him he has to have x-rays before his appointment and proceeded to give the address of the imaging center where we have to at 8:30 in the morning.  It's called Smile Imaging and is very close to Dr. Ortega's office.

In spite of how busy we were we found time for two episodes of the Walton's.  I also watched The Next Food Network Star.  I should be working on my blog since I am a month behind.

After our nightly routine it was after 10 before we got to bed.  We have to leave at 5am at the latest and have a long day tomorrow.

I was up at 4am to start preparing for the lesson I will be giving in Young Women today on taking upon us the name of Christ.  I took care of James before I left for Church, Miralax, pills, breakfast, and injection.  He is still in so much pain.

I was invited to sit by the Crane's during sacrament meeting.  Today is high council Sunday.  James was supposed to speak in the Pinedale ward.  David Hall from the high council and John Larson were the speakers in our ward.  The topics were being a good example and avoiding contention.  It was a good meeting.  Our Sunday School lessons was on missionary efforts of the Church during the Kirtland period.  I sat by Kaeli Nicoll.

I couldn't get my video to work during Young Women.  I hate it when that happens.  Kaeli calls me the Book of Mormon Nazi because I am always reminding everyone where they should be in their Book of Mormon reading.

My lesson went quite well, but I need to get more participation.  Those attending:  Shelly and Jordyn Applegate, Kilee and LeeAnn Hunsaker and their cousin Addy, and their Grandma Analee, Hope Lootans, Trenda Wilhelm, Maddie Carrol.  Other leaders: Diana Curtis, Kaeli Nicoll, Denice Hall and Brother Smith.  Each of the girls got a picture of the Savior to take home.

After Church our home teachers, Chuck Crane and Collin Dewitt came for a visit.  They brought the sacrament for James.  It has been three weeks since he was able to take it so he was very appreciative.  We always enjoy our home teachers!

After lunch James and I spent a quiet afternoon watching the clouds roll in outside, and watching the Walton's inside.  In one episode Olivia had an egg salad sandwich for lunch so that's what I fixed James and I for dinner.  Chuck Crane brought us some tomatoes that Kathy got from Sister Singleton.  The tomatoes were our side dish.

This evening I downloaded pictures and posted on my blog.  I am four weeks behind.
