James got the money from Zaki's bank today, which is a big relief.  We thought maybe they would freeze the funds because of Zaki's and Ariana's divorce.

I paid more bills today.  I also went to the dump and got rid of 8 bags of garbage.

This evening at 5:30 I attended a Young Women's presidency meeting with Diana Curtis, Analee Hunsaker and Kaeli Nicoll.  We discussed, among other things, our fundraiser coming up on September 21st.  We are doing a pancake breakfast at the park.  Analee was just called to be a temple worker.  She is also our ward organist, so she now has three callings.  I guess it's a good thing she is older and all of her kids are grown.

Tonight the young women made signs to advertise for our pancake breakfast.  Thos attending: Jordyn Applegate, Shelly Applegate, Maddie Carroll, Kilee and LeeAnn Hunsaker and Hope Lootans.  We missed Trenda.  She has several AP classes and school and sometimes has lots of home work.  I enjoy being with the girls and the other leaders.  Maddie told us a story about how they had a family roping and she won a pot of candy for being the best roper.

I wore blue nail polish to Mutual because I am working on Divine Nature as this month's value.

Came home and watched The Walton's with James.

 Sunrise behind the mountain

I read in Helaman chapter ten this morning where the Lord gives Nephi all power because of his righteousness.  That is so amazing to me!

As were were getting ready to go into town this morning I see elk on our property.  There were 8 cows and 5 calves.

I love this scene!
We took lots of pictures and we were a little late getting into town to have lunch at LaCasit.  We both had a chicken enchilada with green sauce and a side of refried beans.  Their refried beans are the best!  After lunch we picked up James's hydrocodon prescription at CVS that Becky Skousen from Dr. Moffat's office dropped off for him.  James also wanted to look at wood burning stoves and fireplace inserts so we stopped at Ace Hardware.  When we came out it had started to rain.  When we got back to Vernon it wasn't raining, but soon after it was.  Guess we won't be going on a Razr ride until we get the mud flaps put on.
We went on the deck and read from "The Guardian."  This evening we snacked instead of eating dinner and we watched 3 or 4 episodes of The Walton's before going to bed.

After my morning devotional I join James on the porch to read scriptures, a conference talk, and from our new Gerald Lund book, "The Guardian."

James's morning project.  Fixing the piece of tile he broke off a couple of weeks ago.
Even when he's crippled he works.
We made a trip into town today.  First stop, Licano's for lunch.  I had what I always have, a carne asada burro with green sauce.  Next time it's going to be an enchilada because I couldn't finish my burro.  James wanted to stop at Ace to look at wood-burning stoves but I talked him out of stopping saying we could look at them online.  I felt bad later when he said the only reason he went to town was to look at stoves.

I did some heavy duty shopping at Walmart to get ready for company.  Darrel & Trina, and Jared & Tricia, are coming this weekend.  James went in to look for something he needed and wore himself out.  I told him to get a motorized cart but he didn't want to.  He moved the car in the parking lot and decided he couldn't drive.  Thank goodness!

Back at home we watched The Walton's until Darrel and Trina arrived around 6:30.  Rowan opened his birthday presents.  $30, Batman action figure, and a Donatello Lego set.  Here is the celebration.

Rowan won.
Jared and Tricia arrived after we went to bed.
