Two of our favorite friends from Chandler.
How can we miss this party?

James left this morning before six to go with the youth to the temple.  The turnout was rather disappointing.  The three Hunsaker girls, Hailey, Holly, and LeeAnn, and only Hailey and Holly did baptisms.  Also, our ward did not have enough priesthood there.  I don't think that has ever happened before.
Of course James stopped at El Cupido's and was nice enough to call me and ask me what I would like him to bring back.  I ask for a breakfast burrito with potatoes, eggs, bacon and cheese.  It was yummy.  I was only going to eat half but it was so good I had to eat it all!

I looked out the window of our bedroom as I do every morning to enjoy the view and noticed branches laying all over the ground.  Not only did James level some ground but he trimmed some trees.  I wonder if he forgot how upset I get when he just leaves the branches lying on the ground!
Cleanup time Monday morning.

One of the Hunsaker girls posted a picture of her family visiting the falls at Buckelew Springs.  They are running!  It's hard to believe because we haven't had any moisture since February 1st.  I guess there is alot of runoff from the snow in the high country.
I love the sound of rushing water.

James and I started our fast this afternoon around one o'clock, so we did not have any dinner tonight.  We both worked on our lessons for awhile and then watched another movie we had seen before.  This one is called "Straight from the Heart" starring Teri Polo, one of my favorite Hallmark actresses.  She is a photographer from New York and goes to Wyoming to meet a cowboy.  The scenery, and horses and story line were great.  It was a good one.

Michael had his first track meet today at Corona Del Sol high school in Tempe.  Here are some picture taken by Paul:
You look good in blue Michael!
 Make it count Michael.

Holly on her throne

"Fifty years from now, it won't matter what kind of car I drove, or what kind of house I lived in... .  Fifty years from now, my life will have meaning only if I've taken the time to be a positive influence in the life of a child."
-Janene Wolsey Baadsgaard

I semi-cleaned the pantry today.  There was lots of gum stuck to the floor.  I washed the walls, but they need to be painted.  James says it looks 1,000x better.
Nothing fancy
Notice front and center Holly's
Beggin Strips.

James cut off the shower controls with a hacksaw so now he has to fix it.  He went for parts and came back and sprayed water all over himself and caused a flood.  Now the water is shut off and he's out buying more parts.
Gettin' down and dirty
Looks gross, but it cleaned up pretty well.

I'm glad Michael has a track meet today because he usually comes home from track practice and heads straight for the shower.

Go Michael!

I picked up Ben, Evan and Joshua from school today.  Sheri is in Prescott at science camp with Max.  Here is how they felt about going:

Right now it's 4:30 in the afternoon.  I am supervising Joshua doing his homework while Stacy takes Dorothy to her doctors appointment.  Dallin is playing his guitar and singing.  I have a BBQ chicken in the crockpot and rolls in the oven.  It's 70 degrees outside and a good day except for the plumbing problems.  Oh yes, James's phone got wet and now it doesn't work.  I told him I would get him some rice tomorrow when I go to the store.

Stacy had a Dorothy story to tell when she got home.  After the doctors appointment Dorothy had Stacy take her to Krispy Kreme where she bought four cream filled donuts, and then she asked to go to Sweetie's where she bought an assortment of candy.  One more stop at the grocery store for Cheetos, ice cream, and three huge Mr. Goodbars.  This is a woman in her late sixties who lives by herself.  She only weighs about 90 lbs., and wears dentures. I'm not sure I understand why she only weighs 90 lbs.

Located on Chandler Blvd right across the street from the drive-thru Krispy Kreme.

Look what's coming to the San Diego County Fair:
This is just weird and wrong.
I hope Dorothy doesn't hear about it.

Overcast and occasional rain today.

The soccer game was cancelled today because the fields were so wet  Sheri and I made a Bosa Donut run this morning.  We weren't the only ones who had this idea!

Michael went to a trial track run this morning in the west valley.  He was 4th out of 17.
Go Michael!

This morning during scripture study with James we were reading Abinadi's speech to king Noah and his people.  I was impressed with how well Abinadi knew the gospel and could teach it to others.

James spent the day scraping off the popcorn ceiling in Joshua's room and getting it re-textured.  He was doing this when Darrel, Trina and all of the kids came by for a visit.  They brought James chocolate covered almonds from See's and a giftcard to eat at Cheesecake Factory.

I am a little worried about Darrel because he has quit taking his Enbrel because his deductible is $2,000 and it would cost him $500a month.

Today Rowan had his Pinewood Derby.  Here he is posing with his car.

I told him it looked like he was
holding up a fish.

Today Ian took Ben and Max to the NFL Experience in downtown Phoenix.  They got to see Joe Montana and Max said he had a great time.

James and I had a date to Olive Garden with Sheri and Evan tonight to celebrate James's birthday.  James had the wings and I had the chicken scampi, my favorite dish there.

We came home and watched a BBC mystery murder with Stacy called Father Brown.  We watched two episodes.  I got a kick out of seeing the Father ride his bicycle in his priestly robes.

We began our fast for Dallin this evening.
