1 Nephi 16:4-5
And it came to pass that I, Nephi, did exhort my brethren, with all diligence, to keep the commandments of the Lord. And it came to pass that they did humble themselves before the Lord; insomuch that I had joy and great hopes of them, that they would walk in the paths of righteousness.

April General Conference
"My Mind Caught Hold Upon This Thought" by Elder Neil L. Andersen

Jared Ammon asked if his friend Sammi could come up for a visit.  I said yes but please let me know before she comes so I can get the upstairs ready.

After breakfast I went in to work on my lesson on the computer. At first I didn't think what I worked on yesterday had saved so I started another document. Now I have two lessons.

I listened to Inklings today with Emily Snyder, Jess, and Michelle Craig.

James and I are still both frustrated because we haven't received our almost $15,000 check from Liberty Mutual. Another frustration is our agent Roshelle is not answering any of James's emails.

James and Jared went to town on errands. I stayed home because we have the sister missionaries coming for dinner and I needed to prepare.

The sisters arrived at 5:00 and we were ready for them. They all loved our home. I was surprised there were three sisters, not two. We hurriedly set up another place setting. The three sisters on one side of the table, James on the end and Jared and I on the other side of the table. I said the blessing on the food and then we invited the sisters to be first in the line for dinner. We had a big salad, baked ziti and french bread.

I asked the sisters to each tell a little bit about themselves. Sister Soku was first. She is from New Hampshire and has one younger sister. Her dad is a surgeon and she spent one year at BYU. She has been on her mission for one week.

Sister Fish was next. She has four brothers and I told her Jared also had four brothers. She is from Rigby, Idaho and has been on her mission for 17 months and will be going home the end of October. She hopes they will announce in General Conference that sisters can now serve for 24 months.

Last but not least was Sister Brooksby from North Carolina. She has 7 brothers and 2 sisters and she has been out on her mission for almost four months.

James served apple dump cake for dessert and then the sisters had a message for us. Sister Fish asked me to read 2 Nephi 1:30-32 and then we discussed what constituted a true friend. Sister Fish even asked Jared a question. The sisters had an appointment in Show Low and had to leave. I took their picture on the front porch.

James was going to help me do the dishes. He went outside to feed the horse and came back in and said a water pipe in the well house burst and there was six inches of water on the ground. This is a pipe that goes to the sprinklers. One more thing to fix.

Walking, listening to our book, and me blogging. This is how we end our day.
