"I Love To See the Temple"
President Henry B. Eyring
Second Counselor in the First Presidency
President Russell M. Nelson made clear for us that we can "see" the Savior in the temple in the sense that He becomes no longer unknown to us. President Nelson said this: "We understand Him. We comprehend His work and His glory. And we begin to feel the infinite impact of His matchless life."
If you or I should go to the temple insufficiently pure, we would not be able to see, by the power of the Holy Ghost, the spiritual teaching about the Savior that we can receive in the temple.
When we are worthy to receive such teaching, there can grow through our temple experience hope, joy, and optimism throughout our lives. That hope, joy, and optimism are available only through accepting the ordinances performed in holy temples.

Restoration Proclamation
#2
Two hundred years ago, on a beautiful spring morning in 1820, young Joseph Smith, seeking to know which church to join, went into the woods to pray near his home in upstate New York, USA. He had questions regarding the salvation of his soul and trusted that God would direct him.

Inklings
"The personal growth one can achieve now while waiting upon the Lord and His promises is an invaluable, sacred element of His plan for each one of us."

Sheri cooked lots of yummy things while she was here and she did it all in our tiny oven. Also, I forgot to mention something that Lola did before the Trezise's got here on Friday night. She did this to Ian's and Sheri's bed. She wrote a note saying that she had put $5 under their pillows. When they lifted up their pillows there was a play $5 bill with a Post it that said, "Psych." She thought she was so funny, and so did they.

Today I listened to "Follow Him". The special guest was Steven C. Harper who wrote the book, "Making Sense of the Doctrine and Covenants." I liked how he closed with his testimony and feelings about Joseph Smith. He said: "I love Joseph Smith because he opened the door to Jesus Christ. The Savior is my study and I get to Him through the texts He gave to Joseph Smith." Brother Harper also used the term, "Relentless Repentance" and said, "Pondering is, in my feeling, a form of prayer."

Here are some other notes I took while studying this morning. "Meditation is one of the most secret, most sacred doors thought which we pass to gain entrance to the Lord." -David O. McKay

I also listened to "Don't Miss This" with Emily and Dave, and "Book of Mormon Central" with Tyler and Taylor and Casey. This is from BMC:
Celestial Kingdom - Those who are fully committed to Jesus Christ
Terrestrial Kingdom - Sins of Omission
Telestial Kingdom - Thou shalt not...

I ordered a plaque removed called Sonic Smile and some more Thrive mascara and eyebrow liner this morning.

The Trezise's and Rowan left for home this morning around 10:30 after Sheri ran and we had two breakfasts, venison steak and gravy with biscuits, and pancakes, bacon, and sausage. Sheri, Ian, and Ben also played Yahtzee, a family favorite. I told them that was my Mom's favorite game.

Thanks for coming!
Let us know when you get home.

James is having his biopsy a week from today so beginning today he can't have aspirin or vitamins and a few other things I don't remember. He works in the planter this morning. He finally found the waterline and fixed it and now he has to fill everything back in.

James got his check from Lake Park Village, $29,400. James went into town to deposit it and to pick up two of my prescriptions, Tramadol and Hydrochlorothiazide. Before he went he heated up some butterfly shrimp for lunch. I also had a biscuit.

This evening we watched the Suns-Bucks game. This is game 1 of the finals and Chris Paul was on fire in the second half. The Suns won 118-105.

Happy Birthday Cid!
