"Welcome Message"
President Russell M. Nelson
President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
I understand better now what He meant when He said, "Behold, I will hasten my work in its time." Over and over again I have rejoiced as He has directed and executed the hastening of His work - even during a global pandemic.
"God Among Us"
Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf
Of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles
When we feel insignificant, cast off, and forgotten, we learn that we may be assured that God has not forgotten us - in fact, that He offers to all His children something unimaginable: to become "heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ." What does this mean?
That we will live forever, receive a fulness of joy, and have the potential to "inherit thrones, kingdoms, principalities, and powers."
It is so humbling to know that this magnificent and supernal future is possible - not because of who we are but because of who God is.
Knowing this, how could we ever murmur or remain embittered? How could we ever keep our eyes on the ground when the King of kings invites us to take flight into an unimaginable future of divine happiness?

Thrift and Industry
I commend to all the virtues of industry and thrift, which I believe go hand in hand. The labor and thrift of the people make a nation, a community, or a family strong. Work and thrift make the family independent.

God Among Us
There are going to be wanderer's and that's why there are gatherer's.
I left this morning before 8 a.m. for Walmart. I wanted to do my shopping early. I got home before 10:30 and put all of the groceries away. Lola and Ruby were so happy that I got apples and carrots for Luna. They went out to feed her right away.
I began to clean to get ready for our Tea Party with the Grapp's at 3 p.m. Ruby and Lola helped. Ruby made teapot name placecards for everyone.
Lola was a good helper too. She asked me if I had a clipboard and a piece of paper for her to write on. She wrote down everyone's name so Ruby wouldn't forget anyone. Why didn't I take a picture? I guess I was too busy cleaning.
When we were finished cleaning Ruby and Lola helped me bake some strawberry "baby cakes." (mini-cupcakes). They also put up the signs they made. Ruby frosts the baby cakes and then she cuts up strawberries. The entire Grapp family arrive at 3p.m as scheduled. We forgot to make a placecard for Brother Grapp so Ruby hurries and makes one.
I had everyone sit down and introduce themselves and tell one thing that they like. I tell them why a tea party is called a tea party, because of the English. Liana says a blessing on the food. Everyone gets up and goes through the tea party buffet line. I noticed that Benson waited until everyone else went through the line before he got a plate and his food. I was impressed. He has been taught well.
Here is a list of the foods we served: Sausage links cut in bite-sized pieces, black olives, cheese, crackers, carrots, pink baby cakes, pink donuts, powdered donuts, mini-muffins, strawberries, blueberries, grapes, peanut and plain M&M's, peanut butter and honey sandwiches, cheese sandwiches all cut in fourths, and two drinks.
Malea loved the plain M&M's.
Emsley was so happy to get to know Lola. She really doesn't have a lot of friends. I heard her telling Lola about her "filly". I told her that Lola probably didn't know what a filly was. Emsley told her it was a baby girl horse. The kids played upstairs and had a contest to see who could catch the most bouncy balls. They finally went outside to see Luna and to play hide and seek. They found a dead coyote and heard some coyotes on the hill. The Grapp's were here for about two hours and when they got ready to leave I noticed that Benson's hair was still in place and looked exactly the same as when he came. I asked him about it. He said it's because he uses Gorilla Snot. Cammy said it's the best product. I guess I'm going to have to get some for James.
James helped the kids ride Luna while I fixed dinner. We had spaghetti and green beans for dinner. All of the kids like spaghetti.
James got ready to go to the valley tomorrow. He hooked up the trailer to his truck. He's going down to pick up his Cat.
After we had family prayer the girls and I watched the last part of Boss Baby and part of Despicable Me 3 before going to bed. We will have to finish the movie tomorrow.
Happy 18th Birthday Max!
