Someone I admire very much.
After reading scriptures with James and having family prayer, we drove to town to see Dr. Moffat.  James is very sick with bronchitis.  While I was waiting for him I read a chapter from "A Witness and a Warning", President Benson's book about the Book of Mormon.  It was chapter 8, entitled, Be Faithful in Christ.  I felt the Spirit as I read this chapter.

While we were waiting for James's antibiotic that Dr. Moffat prescribed to be filled at CVS, we went to Arby's for lunch.  According to Dr. Moffat the antibiotic is a very strong one and James only has to take it for five days.

On the way home I read from "The Governess of Highland Hall."  We stopped at the post office.  Our 2013 taxes are ready.  Thankfully we only owe a small amount of money.  2014 will be very different because of the Hatch Hangar job.

James went home and took his medicine and laid down for a nap.  The doctor told him he shouldn't go anywhere.
I watched an episode of "Last Man Standing" and then took a nap before I started my afternoon activities.  I worked on my blog and studied my Primary lesson.  I also emptied one box from the garage.
For dinner I fixed pork chops, asparagus, and whole wheat English muffins.  It was a tasty dinner.
James and I watched a Hallmark movie we had seen before, "June to January".  I liked it again, especially because Wes Brown was the star.

This year in Sunday School we are studying the Doctrine and Covenants.  Today the lesson covered the introduction and section 1.  In Relief Society and Priesthood the course of study comes from the Teachings of Lorenzo Snow.  Also, I am super excited about our new curriculum for Young Women.  Our topic of study for January is the Godhead.  I love teaching doctrinal lessons from the scriptures!
A sister who lived in Vernon for many years and had a great influence on the community passed away this week.  Her name was Beulah Penrod.  Many of the testimonies today in fast & testimony meeting were reminiscing about her life and the history of the church in Vernon.  James bore his testimony and I was the last person to bear mine.  We were already over time when I bore mine so I made it brief and mainly about the Savior.

I attended Lannie Gillespie's teacher training class during Sunday School.  Kaeli Nicoll taught the lesson in Young Women's about the nature of the Godhead.  She did a good job and got alot of participation.
James attended our ward's sacrament meeting and then went to the Park Place ward in Show Low.
After church we came home and took naps and then broke our fast before dinner time.  James fixed dinner and then cleaned the kitchen.
This evening we watched the second half of "Love's Christmas Journey" and then about 3/4's of the season 3 premier of Downton Abbey.  It was a good sabbath day.

I got up around 5am and started preparations for dinner.  First I made The Pioneer Woman's creamy mashed potatoes and set them in the frig.  When we get home from church they go in the oven for 30 minutes.  I also put two roasts in the crockpots.  For breakfast I made cinnamon rolls and biscuits.  Isn't it interesting how so much of our lives center around food.
We were late, but we all made it for church: Jared, Tricia, James, Anna, Emmy, Molly, Joe, Michael, Alex, James and I.  The great thing is everyone stayed the full 3 hours and the boys attended all of their meetings.  When they came out of the last hour Alex said to me: "Grandma, we went to all over our meetings."  The last time they were here they ditched Sunday School and Priesthood.  They knew I was very upset.
I had a short meeting after the block and Sean and Tyler Hunsaker brought me home.
We had a nice lunch then it was time for naps, board games, football, and dancing.
Fact or Crap is one of the games.
Daddy Daughter Dance.
Playing the Logo game.
Alex, Grandpa James, and James Hayden getting ready
for tomorrow's fishing trip.
Watching a movie.
Tricia, Molly, and Jared.
