We had rain, snow and sunshine today depending on the time and the window you happened to look out.

James went to feed the Howard's horses this morning, something he agreed to do while they were in the valley. Before coming home he went to Dollar General to get a birthday card for Alex and something for refreshments tonight for our "Come Follow Me" group. I had already told him I was going to make a Texas sheetcake but I guess he figured we might need backup. I did tell him to get some ice cream, which he did. He also got a no bake cheesecake box, and a box of brownies.

James worked upstairs today. He was going to work on taxes but he ended up scheduling concrete for the job and talking back and forth with Armando.

While James was working upstairs and I was at my computer working on books, Luna was outside rolling in the mud.
We are tempted to call her Winnie because whenever James goes out to feed her she "whinnies." If he is too slow she also paws the ground. We got a horse with some personality!

I had planned on making the Texas sheetcake early this afternoon until I got a text from Sister Goodman saying she had a Boston Creme poke cake she would like to bring. Thanks Barbara!

Because I knew we wouldn't be using the ice cream James bought for tonight's meeting I decided I would try it and see if it was any good. It was and it went well with the hot fudge sauce I had on hand.

Because I have been doing re-pricing and getting rid of old books, my IPS on Amazon went up from 405 to 507 points. IPS stands for Index Performance Score. Now if I could only sell more books.

Jared chose the topic of forgiveness for us to study this week. Here are the talks we will be listening to:

"The Healing Power of Forgiveness"
James E. Faust
April 2007 GC

"I Stand All Amazed"
Jeffrey R. Holland
President of Brigham Young University
From an address given to Salt Lake
Temple workers, 24 November 1985

"On Measuring Flour and Forgiveness"
Madison U. Sowell
Chair of the BYU Department of French and Italian
October 22, 1996 * Devotional

I read these talks and they are quite sobering and some of them have some very sad stories in them. One of the most difficult things to do, I think, in this life is to forgive someone who has wronged someone you love. I am still struggling with this. It can only be done over time and with the help of the Holy Ghost.

We had an enjoyable evening with the Goodman's and the Peeler's. We studied the lesson for Mosiah 1-3, had a good discussion, and then somehow James started telling stories about his grandpa Lambson. I had heard them but I guess the Peeler's and the Goodman's had not. Brother Peeler has ties to Ramah through his grandpa and he and Donna had been there recently.
The Boston Creme poke cake was delicious!
As they were leaving Brother Peeler asked if sometime James would tell stories about his crow. I am sure he would love to do that.

After everyone left James and I did the dishes and then watched the latest episode of "When Calls the Heart."
I finally figured out which input the TV needed to be on in order to get the satellite. I even called Brian and he went by Best Buy but they weren't open. He was going to go in and look at a TV like mine so he could tell me what to do. I am grateful for his concern and support. I am also grateful that I was able to figure it out on my own.

Sheri said Ben is still discouraged although his letter didn't really show it. He is having problems with his companion. He wants to talk to the President and see if he can go back to being just a regular missionary. We are all praying of him.

 Elder Manu and Elder Trezise

Kerri brought us these masks that her mom made.
No matter that she got muddy tracks on our driveway.

One for James and one for me

Oh great! Perfect timing!

I know I am late for siblings day but I
thought I would post this gem anyway.
James gave me the sweater for Christmas that year.

I had to add a little humor

Wow Trina, it looks like something in a
magazine!

Lola grrrl

Now that's a pantry!

 So sweet

Idaho Falls, Idaho
8th operating temple
Dedicated: 23-25 Sept 1945
By: George Albert Smith

Jesus Christ, Death of
Hosea 13:14
I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.
Book of Mormon #1
Mormon 7:1-8:11
Why am I grateful for the Book of Mormon?
- I feel the Spirit when I read the Book of Mormon, and my life is so happy and blessed when I apply its' teachings. The truths contained in it will answer my questions about the time I live in.The Book of Mormon is essential to the gospel of Jesus Christ. It testifies of the Bible and they come together to testify that Jesus is the Christ.
It is my peace, and my comfort. It is a sign that the Lord has begun to gather Israel. It brings me closer to Jesus Christ. "Whoso treasureth up my word shall not be deceived."
Book of Mormon #2
Alma 49-50
Old Testament
Joel 1-3
General Conference
Taking Upon Ourselves the Name of Jesus Christ
Elder Robert C. Gay
"First, to take upon ourselves the name of Christ means we faithfully strive to see as God sees. How does God see? Joseph Smith said, 'While one portion of the human race is judging and condemning the other without mercy, the Great Parent of the universe looks upon the whole of the human family with a fatherly care and paternal regard,'' for 'His love is unfathomable.'"

Mango is so delicious! I think it is my new favorite fruit. I don't like peeling them and cutting them up but I don't have to when James is here. Thanks honey for putting them in my shopping cart, providing the money to pay for them, cutting them up and serving them to me.

While I worked on my blog I watched a new Hallmark movie called, "The Shoe Addicts Christmas," starring Candace Cameron-Bure and Jean Smart. I love Jean Smart from my days of watching "Designing Women."  Jean plays an angel named Charlie who comes to help Candace. Luke McFarlane is Candace's love interest.
I really liked this movie although I am not a huge fan of Candace.

I also watched "Christmas Harmony," "A Christmas Reunion," and "Christmas in Mississippi." Wes Brown is in the last one and I love him. Okay, enough of the Christmas movies!

I had a major breakthrough today with out new book business...I figured out how to create a shipment and I actually got a box of books boxed and ready to ship. It only took me five hours.

Today is our day to email Ben and to receive emails from him. I like this scripture that he sent to Sheri:
DC 58:2-4
2 - For verily I say unto you, blessed is he that keepeth my commandments, whether in life or in death; and he that is faithful in tribulation, the reward of the same is greater in the kingdom of heaven.
3 - Ye cannot behold with your natural eyes, for the present time, the design of your God concerning those things which shall come hereafter, and the glory which shall follow after much tribulation.
4 - For after much tribulation come the blessings. Wherefore the day cometh that ye shall be crowned with much glory; the hour is not yet, but is nigh at hand.

We are all so worried about Max and his diabetes and how he is coping and this scripture gave some comfort.

James put the big wreath up on the log near the ceiling in front of the fireplace. We still need a star for the tree though. Target has some great ones. I should have gotten one when I was there at the beginning of the month.

I love this view of the Idaho Falls temple.

Who is that taking my picture?

Oh! It's you! Hi Mom!

Stacy sent me a picture of these mini dolls she
fell in love with at the Disney store.

Our first Christmas card was from our
friends the Wanlass's.

This girl definitely needs a crown.

 Ben loves the cold

Can't believe how much these boys have changed.

We did not make it to Blanche Ryland's memorial service this morning.  I got Tony, her daughter's address, from Cathi and will send the family a card.  I really did love Blanche and we have known her since we moved to Chandler in 1971.

James power sprayed the rest of the planters so Reuben and Lauro could paint on Monday.  I went to Rowan and Evan's soccer game.  Evan has become quite the aggressive player.  It's always fun at these games because I get to visit with Sheri, Trina, Suzy, and Ruby.  Addy is never there though because she has dance practice at the same time.

Before leaving town I went to Chik-fil-a and In-n-Out Burger.  I go home the Payson way and James goes home the Globe way and I beat him home.  He brought some more citrus fruit so we can give some to the Crane's and he also brought green burros.

Joseph, Michael, Alex and Ben all had practice for the cultural celebration for the Gilbert temple.  They spent all day at Discovery Park with no cell phones!

I'm not sure what this represents but
it is colorful.  The kids from Chandler
are in the yellow group.

After unpacking James and I watched this week's episode of:
"When Calls the Heart."

James left for the valley at 4am.  I slept in until 6.  After my Book of Mormon study I watched some highlights from last nights American Country Music Awards.  Really, the highlights for me were seeing George Strait and hearing him sing, hearing Kelly Clarkson sing "Don't Rush" and watching Hunter Hayes perform.  I guess I'm not much of a country music person.
For breakfast I had an Eggo waffle with strawberries and whippped cream.  Not a bad way to start the day.
It was windy and cold today with the high around 58.  We didn't get much wind in March but we are making up for it in April.
My favorite childhood celebrity, Annette Funicello passed away today.  I used to watch her on the Mickey Mouse Club and in several teenage beach movies.  She had MS and struggled with it for years.
Annette Funicello.
In other world news, Margaret Thatcher, former Prime Minister of Great Britain also passed away.  She was 85.
Some pictures I stole from Facebook:

Kim and Brian say he uses a tanning booth.
I don't think so.
Absolutely!
