"Follow Him"

I had my protein shake and T&T at 3:50 and went back to sleep and didn't get up until 5:14. I hurried to catch up all morning as my schedule starts at 4.  James had a miserable night. He was going to go to town at 6 this morning to get some lumber but he just wasn't feeling up to it. Instead I gave him a heat rub down and he laid in bed on the heating pad for awhile. He got up and we had prayer and our morning devotional. This part of the "Come Follow Me" lesson was on keeping a personal journal. President Wilford Woodruff kept a personal journal for 63 years. I rather enjoyed the message since I am a journal writer. After we were finished James said: "I guess this means I have to start writing in my journal again." I said, "I think so."

After our devotional James took T&T (Tramadol & Tylenol) and laid on the recliner with the heating pad. After about an hour he felt better and got up and worked on his hearing material. The manager of Darryl Johnson's building finally answered James's question as to whether she told Mr. Johnson not to give Lambson Construction a key as he, Mr. Johnson, said. She said she did not. This is the answer James has been waiting for.

We left for the temple around 11 and picked up Virgil Cooper on the way. We attended the 12:30 endowment session. I saw my friend Karen Gilliland and spoke to her. She said to me: "You have lost weight. Are you okay?" I assured her I was okay. We also saw the Klug's and Maxine Thompson. They come every Tuesday and try to do two ordinances. Maxine did two sealing sessions and the Klug's did two endowment sessions.

After our session was over we waited about 20 minutes for Virgil. James went in once to check on him and asked if he was okay. Virgil said: "Yes, just slow." James was a little stressed. We want to go eat and go home. He wants to leave for the valley by 5. His hearing is in the morning at 9 a.m. in Phoenix.

We ate at Eva's just ahead of a huge group of people we came in right after we did. James had a chicken enchilada with green sauce and a side of refried beans. Virgil had a green chili burro enchilada style and I had a chili relleno with green sauce. Yummy, delicious food. As I said before James was in a bit of a rush and he finished eating first. He didn't engage in conversation because that would take extra time. Virgil started talking to me about things that are going to happen before the Second Coming. He talked about the return of the Lost Ten Tribes which will be led by John the Revelator, the return of the city of Enoch, and then he said the city of Salem where Melchizedek was king will also return. I had never heard this before and told him so. I decided I would go home and listen to Brother Gerald Lund's book, "The Second Coming of our Lord" and see what he has to say about it.

Again we had to wait for Virgil again, this time to finish his dinner.
James let me run in to Walmart to get some zucchini and green onions so I can make vegetable soup for the Tignor's. Barbara wasn't at church today because she has shingles.

We were home by 4:20 instead of 4 as we had planned but James still left for the valley on time, at 5 p.m., in my car. He arrived safely at Stacy's where he is staying and he had a meeting with Armando around 8:30 p.m. to plan their strategy for tomorrow. We are all praying for him.

D&C 86:7
Therefore, et the wheat and the tares grow together until the harvest is fully ripe; then ye shall first gather out the wheat from among the tares, and after the gathering of the wheat, behold and lo, the tares are bound in bundles, and the field remaineth to be burned.
