Up at 3:51. Prayer and Book of Mormon with James. We will do "Come Follow Me" when he gets home from work.
I love studying about the Atonement of Jesus Christ in Brother Callister's book, "The Infinite Atonement." I have been listening to Elder Roman's talk: "Faith: A Bond of Trust and Loyalty". Elder Roman talks about getting a notebook and keeping track of spiritually defining memories. I decided this morning that is what my handout for the lesson is going to be, a notebook to keep track of "Spiritually Defining Moments." I thought I would go to Dollar Tree and get some small inexpensive notebooks. This afternoon I was at Walmart. They had 8 x 10 spiral bound notebooks for 35 cents a piece. I did some quick calculations in my head and figured I could get enough for the sisters in our ward for around $20. I began loading up my car, 12 purple, 12 green, 12 yellow, 12 blue, and 12 red, 60 in all.
I have now labeled one to share on here:
President Eyring keeps a daily journal and always looks for ways the Lord had place in his or his family's life that day. That is what I am going to encourage the sisters to do, find someway, everyday that the Lord has touched their lives.
When James got home around noon I asked how his pour had gone.
He said: "You must have been praying for me because it went perfectly." Danny, a guy who works for the Hunsaker's, who came to help did most of the work. I was so glad to hear that James had help besides Paul.
This afternoon I made snickerdoodles to be auctioned off at Vernon Day tomorrow. First I went by Pat's and gave her some more soup, this batch was much better than the last and some snickerdoodles. She thanked me and said that now she had some dinner. I left Pat's and drove to Paula Johnson's who is the president of the park and in charge of Vernon Day. Since we are planning on being gone tomorrow I left her with the two dozen cookies. She thanked me and said they looked great.
In Show Low I dropped off Molly's card at the post office. Since it's going to the Bahamas I put 8 stamps on the outside just to make sure it would get there. I also mailed a payment to Cheri Witt, our accountant. I went on to Walmart and stopped to get gas on the way home so we would have a full tank starting out for Farmington in the morning.
At home I finished walking, rested and showered. We are leaving for Farmington at six a.m. our time, 7 a.m. New Mexico time. It is about a 4 hour and 12 minute drive according to Google, or 241 miles.
"I invite you to follow Moroni's counsel to ponder on the many ways the Book of Mormon teaches "how merciful the Lord hath been.""

And whoso receiveth you, there I will be also, for I will go before your face, I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my Spirit shall be in your hearts, and mine angels round about you, to bear you up.
