Phrase: "As you pray earnestly with the expectation to both receive and act upon an answer from God, as did young Joseph Smith, your capacity to recognize and respond to that divine witness will be increased."
Affirmation: "I am grateful for the blessings of the Restoration. I follow Joseph Smith's example as I seek personal revelation with the intention to act on the knowledge I receive. I know God wants to guide me."
I was up at 4:25. James left for Hipps's before six with Paul Peeler. He was back for lunch. We had Smash Burgers with all of the fixings except for buns, beans and beets. It was a nice lunch as we listened to the rain and thunder outside. James mentioned we still needed to do "Come Follow Me." I asked if I could finish eating and then do the dishes. James started loading dishes in the dishwasher, and then went into the bedroom. I finished up in the kitchen and went into the bedroom to find James asleep on the bed. I brushed my teeth and went back into the family to R&R on my favorite recliner. I read from "Look unto Christ in Every Thought" and "To Be A Jew." I call this my R&R, read and relax time. Tom joined me for about an hour.
After an hour I got up and went outside to put my cornhole game up so it doesn't get wet. I then went into the bedroom with Tom following. Tom saw James on the bed and jumped up beside him.
When James got up from his nap he was upset because we hadn't done "CFM." I said, "Let's do it now." We did and it took less than ten minutes.
This afternoon I made baked ziti to take to Bunco this evening.
James went into town for some kind of a scan. He was late and they stayed opened past closing time to accommodate him.
I got a call from Ashley @ AARA regarding my shoulder x-rays. I have osteoarthritis and they recommend I see another doctor. I said, "Wait a minute. Dr. Kumar said I could get cortisone shots every four months in my shoulders and knees." Ashley said, "Let me talk to the doctor and get back with you." She called back a little later and we scheduled injections for August 11th at 10:15, both in my knees and shoulders.
My baked ziti and I rode with Stefani Hunsaker to Bunco at Becky Skousen's house. Her sister, Alicia, is with bishop and Colter in Farmingtom, New Mexico. They are going to the temple open house in the morning.
Bert was Alicia's sub at Bunco. It was an especially fun evening and we even talked about going on a Bunco cruise. Everyone was talking about my haircut and how James was the one who gave it to me.
People also noticed that I have lost weight. 20 lbs to date.
When I get home James is ready for bed. We say our prayers and he hits the sack. I take a shower, do a little walking, and put my baked ziti away and wash the casserole dish before going to bed.
"We have a covenantal responsibility to build Jesus Christ's kingdom and prepare for His return."

D&C 84:80
And any man that shall go and preach this gospel of the kingdom, and fail not to continue faithful in all things, shall not be weary in mind neither darkened, neither in body, limb, nor joints and a hair of his head shall not fall to the ground unnoticed. And they shall not go hungry, neither athirst.
and they will send me a new one.
