"Bridging the Two Great Commandments" Elder Gary E. Stevenson
D&C 109:74
And be adorned as a bride for that day when thou shalt unveil the heavens, and cause the mountains to flow down at thy presence, and the valleys to be exalted, the rough places made smooth; that thy glory may fill the earth;
I had my Subway sandwich for breakfast. I ordered Dr. Barbara O'Neil's Sweet Relief Glycogen support pills for joint pain and high blood pressure. I'm taking lots of health supplements right now because the meds the doctors are giving me for RA and blood pressure aren't working very well.
I felt better today but my face is still swollen. I asked James to please cancel my appointment with Pierce today. He was going to give me a dental exam but I don't want to see anyone until the swelling in my face goes down. James changed it to next Wednesday at 10:00.
Chuck Crane came over this afternoon to take our garbage to the dump. He was very excited when he came over. He said his son Jeff, who moved his family to Virginia is buying 10 acres here in Vernon from him and Kathy. He is moving back and building a home here. He and his family will be staying with his wife Susan's sister Julie in the home they grew up in. It is next to John and Sandra Wilhelm's. John is Susan and Julie's cousin. Susan is also Tamara Applegate's sister so I am sure Tamara is excited.
I put sheets on the bed downstairs, made sure there were fresh towels and scrubbed the toilet. Sheri and company are coming on Friday.
I actually finished three blog posts today. James brought home $10,000 in cash today from Chacon.
Notes & Quotes
"For me, the application of the first great commandment can sometimes feel abstract, even daunting. Gratefully, as I consider further words of Jesus, this commandment becomes much more graspable: ' If ye love me, keep my commandments.' This I can do. I can love Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, which then leads to prayer, scripture study, and temple worship. We love the Father and the Son through the payment of tithes, keeping the Sabbath day holy, living a virtuous and chaste life, and being obedient."
