Jesus Christ, Second Coming
D&C 63:34
And the saints also shall hardly escape; nevertheless, I, the Lord, am with them, and will come down in heaven from the presence of my Father and consume the wicked with unquenchable fire.
Book of Mormon
Alma 42:1-25
13 Therefore, according to justice, the plan of redemption could not be brought about, only on conditions of repentance of men in this probationary state, yea, this preparatory state; for except it were for these conditions, mercy could not take effect except it should destroy the work of justice. Now the work of justice could not be destroyed; if so, God would cease to be God.

Of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles
My beloved brothers and sisters, in His perfect and infinite love and knowing our human nature, the Savior has established the way for us to avoid falling into the trap of spiritual apathy. The Savior's invitation gives us a broader perspective, especially considering the complex world in which we live: "Learn of me,and listen to my words; walk in the meekness of my Spirit, and you shall have peace in me."

After family prayer and scriptures James leaves to go to town with Owen Peeler to pick out bathroom fixtures and another toilet.

I started out working on my blog, it seems like I'm always behind, but soon I was working on my cake scrapbook, and then I went into practicing with my wax seals. My mind does wander.

It rained most of the day. James and I had lunch together. Roast beef, gravy, mashed potatoes, and strawberry cake. This cake is my favorite so far! After lunch we went into the bedroom and listened to "A Dreaming Beauty" and walked before rest time.

Rain, rain, and more rain. James is worried because he has concrete coming on August 9th at the Thompson's and he still has some work to be done before the concrete can be poured.

My new cake slice to go boxes came today! James picked them up at the post office and then he went to Dollar General to get me a drink. He is such a sweetie!

6x6 much bigger than the last
ones I ordered.

I texted my neighbor Chelsea to see if she and her girls would like some cake. She said most definitely, so I cut three pieces and put one piece in each of three boxes. I also put a couple of pieces in two other boxes for the Thompson's. James and I headed out to deliver the cake. When we got to Chelsea's the two girls, Peyton and Scotlyn were outside playing. James knocked on the door and Chelsea answered holding her little boy, Boone. James handed Chelsea the cake. I waved and rolled the window down and said hi. Does this count for ministering? Maybe a little, but I need a visit with Chelsea to see how she is doing and to invite her to our RS activity on the 9th. I texted her later and invited her and the kids to come over next Friday. Jared, her husband, is still in Alaska. Chelsea texted me later and said the girls voted to eat the cake before dinner.

We drove on to the Thompson's and gave them the two pieces of cake I had cut for them. I heard from Maxine later that they both loved the cake, especially the filling. Gary said, "Another winner. This recipe is a keeper."

This evening James and I listened to our book and walked. I watched Christmas movies and tried to blog. I got a letter from Jackie Hall today. I will post it on here.
