"The Testimony of Jesus" by Elder D. Todd Christofferson

James made an early morning, before breakfast trip to our local Fry's Food Store here in northern Scottsdale.

I had yogurt and toast for breakfast and then settled in to watch and listen to "Walk with Him" with Barbara Morgan Gardener, and Elaine Dalton. Today they discussed Elder Christofferson's General Conference talk, "A Testimony of Jesus Christ." Here are a few notes that I took:
Invite the Spirit to teach you.
Prophetic Priorities. With President Hinckley it was Retention. With President Monson it was the One and with President Nelson , staying on the Covenant Path.
Word Cloud
The Doctrine in this talk is The Plan of Salvation
Jesus is the heart of the temple
Honorably hold a Name and a Standing
"Receive" agency involved
Our Homes should be as Temples with should treat each other with kindness and charity
Am I doing what I covenanted to do?

I got this text from Kim about 8:22 this morning:
Luna is in the front of the cabin. How did she get out of the gate and how do I get her back in. Have Brian call dad. Brian is still sleeping.
When he wakes up have him call. He probably just needs to get a bucket of grain and lead her back in. I can do that. Where do I lead her back in? Dad's going to call you. ...... How did it go?
Good. By the time we got Luna, Apollo was out too. But they were both excited to come back in for food. Thank you!

I hurt my right arm while doing my hair today and now I am unable to use it. We are going to Lois and Dawn's and I asked Dawn if she had an arm sling. She said that she didn't and I didn't think anything more of it. When we arrived at their house Lois had a clean dish towel wrapped as an arm sling. I put it on and it fit perfectly. James says he remembers using dish towels when he had a hurt arm as a kid.

Lois gave me another quilt. I'm not sure why but it's beautiful.

Dawn fed us a little lunch. We didn't eat much because we are going to Cheesecake Factory later. She did give each of us a piece of chocolate coconut cake. Dawn doesn't eat sugar and Lois eats very little so when company comes we get the sweets.

Aunt June passed away a few days ago.  Uncle Paul is coming. He and Aunt Faye and Lois are having a graveside service on Thursday. We will not be here because James thought it was going to be on Wednesday and he scheduled an appointment in Vernon on Thursday. I spoke with Lois a little about June. She said she has had Alzheimer's and has not recognized anyone for a long time. How sad. I wish we were going to be here for the service.

We did some shopping at the Costco in Chandler to the tune of $187 and then we went to Cheesecake Factory for our second lunch. We ordered off the appetizer menu. I ordered crab bites and he ordered crab wontons. We enjoyed the sourdough bread and then we shared our wontons and crab bites. We both agreed that we liked the crab bites best, especially with the mustard sauce. I also got a diet Coke but paid $4.95 for it so I got one to go.

Back to our room at the resort. Crank up the air conditioner and nap time. After napping we walked around the room. For dinner we both got three chicken strips from the local Chikfila. We asked for Chikfila sauce but they gave us no sauce. James called and complained but he said the person didn't seem to care.

I forgot Charlie's Sunday pictures so I went back and posted them along with one of Mason.

Dawn is on a special diet to help her memory.
She tries not to eat sugar or meat. This is a meat
substitute that is really quite good.

So true!

I'm obsessed with Scotland right now.

Looking forward to the Edinburgh temple.
