3 Nephi 11:3
And it came to pass that while they were thus conversing one with another, they heard a voice as if it came out of heaven; and they cast their eyes round about, for they understood not the voice which they heard; and it was not a harsh voice, neither was it a loud voice; nevertheless, and notwithstanding it being a small voice it did pierce them that did hear to the center, insomuch that there was no part of their frame that it did not cause to quake; yea, it did pierce them to the very soul, and did cause their hearts to burn.

October General Conference
"Eternal Truth" by Elder John C. Pingree, Jr.
Finally a day I am not scheduled to do anything. I rested most of the morning. My knee is better but my index and middle finger on my left hand are swollen and hurting. Thank goodness for my heating pad. I watched and listened to Emily and Rio on Inklings discussing Elder Stevenson's talk on the Holy Ghost. I watched a Christmas movie or two and then went in to fix some lunch. Jared had already eaten and was back outside painting, but I made James and I each a bacon sandwich with tomato, minus the lettuce.
My other great accomplishment of the day was fixing chicken and stuffing casserole. It's one of Jared's favorites. He even said he needed to get the recipe from me. Next time I am going to use chicken gravy instead of cream of chicken soup for the sauce. I'm also going to use more stuffing. I use a rotisserie chicken shredded for the chicken and I think it makes more than the recipe calls for.
James has been taking my phone in the evenings and walking with it while he listens to our story. I have usually already listened so I don't walk with him lately. This is why I haven't posted my steps on my blog, most of them aren't mine. I have a goal starting in November to get all of my own steps. I need them!
I watched a new Christmas movie starring Barbara Niven, Erica Durance, and Brennan Elliot called, "Ms. Christmas." Good movie about friendship and overcoming adversity in a positive way.
Cher sent an update on Brian a few days ago. Basically it said that he has stage 4 cancer. The cancer has metastasized into the nearby lymph nodes and maybe other areas in the stomach cavity, chest and liver. He gets his first big dose of chemo on November 1st.
Good luck Brian!
