From this pulpit today and tomorrow, you will continue to hear truth. Please make notes of thoughts that catch your attention and those that come into your mind and stay in your heart. Prayerfully ask the Lord to confirm that what you have heard is true.
100 Favorite Verses - "Woman, Behold Thy Son"
John 19:25-27
25 Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.
26 When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son!
27 Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.
When I got up this morning the kids were already gone to school, Darrel was gone to work, and Trina was gone to the gym (I presume).
I got ready to go and went downstairs where James was already waiting for me. I asked him if we could have some breakfast before we left and he said we could. We each had a bowl of the Cinnamon Life cereal I bought last night at Fry's. James loaded our suitcases and food into the car and off we went. We are going to check on jobs in the west valley. James suggested we go on the 202 south loop on the other side of South Mountain, which we did. It was a nice drive with very little traffic as most of the traffic goes on the 60 to the 10 or 17 through Phoenix.
Our first stop was at the Glendale airport which is clear past State Farm stadium on 91st Avenue. Armando only has two guys working at the airport and James says they are not going to be ready for concrete and he is going to have to cancel. From the airport we went to 51st Avenue and Cactus where James is doing a remodel of a doctor's office. He was inside for about 30 minutes or so. I decided to do some walking. It was a beautiful day around 70 degrees with plenty of sunshine.
We met Kim and Brian at the Outback restaurant on Market Street in Gilbert for lunch. James has two gift cards and some extra cash and they have done so much for us, we wanted to treat them to lunch. We wanted to go to Carrabas but they don't open until 3 and we will be one our way home by then. Everyone ordered steak except for Brian, he ordered a steak sandwich. I got the Victoria 6 oz medium, a loaded baked potato, a strawberry salad, and bread.
We had a nice visit during our lunch. We enjoy spending time with our kids and their spouses.
After our lunch we said our goodbye's and we left for home. We stopped in Globe for gas and I noticed that my tongue was swollen in front on the left side. It was the weirdest feeling and I could hardly talk. I am pretty miserable the rest of the way home.
When we get home the first thing James does is feed Luna. The Grombach's fed her last night for us. I put my things away and went to bed. I told Kathy Crane we were home as she asked me to. She brought over her homemade chicken noodle soup, homemade rolls, and an apple pie she made. I could not eat.
I took these pictures last night
