Jesus Christ Is The Strength Of Youth
Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf
Quorum of the Twelve Apostles
Important temporal and spiritual choices should not only be based on personal preference or what is convenient or popular. The Lord is not saying, "Do whatever you want."
He is saying, "Let God prevail."
He is saying, "Come follow me."
He is saying, "Live in a holier, higher, more mature way."
He is saying, "Keep my commandments."
Jesus Christ is our perfect example, and we strive with all the energy of our soul to follow Him.
100 Favorite Scriptures - "Become as little children"
Matthew 18:3-4
3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

I did a little family history this morning. I am now looking for a couple of Nannie's relatives, Thomas Isaiah Parker and Catherine Parker. I don't know Catherine's maiden name. They have a daughter named Artalessa who is married to an Epley.
James worked on getting a contract ready for the 51st avenue medical building remodel this morning. He sent it off and then we went in to town with the donut tire on our car and no spare. Our first stop was at Goodwill to make a donation and then on to Walmart. James dropped me off at the front door while he went around to the automotive department to get the tire fixed. I told him I was going to be awhile and if he got the tire fixed quickly to check in with me and then go and do his other errands.
I had only been shopping for a few minutes when James called and asked me if I was ready to go. I just laughed and said, "You've got to be kidding." He was. He said that we needed two new tire and it was going to take awhile. Okay, that's fine because I have plenty of shopping to do. James came in to check on me once and asked if I got his flax seed crackers. I told him I had three boxes of crackers for him. He took one of the boxes back and said the other two were fine. I check out in the self-checkout which takes me a very long time, and then go outside to wait for James to pick me up. I realized I hadn't paid for the computer paper I had in my basket so I went back inside and paid for it. I had called James several times and he didn't answer so this time when it went to voicemail I left a message. He called me back and said they put one tire on but forgot to put the other one on and were now working on someone else's car and he was still waiting. I told him I wasn't going to wait outside in the cold, I was coming back to automotive and wait with him. I didn't even get to sit down when the guy was done with our car and James checked out. We took the basket of groceries outside and loaded up the car and left. We need to get the car washed but it won't do any good because our roads are so muddy.
James stopped at the hospital outpatient pavillion and went in to get the test scores for his psa bloodwork. His cancer count is down to .7 which is the lowest it had ever been. This is the prostate cancer count.
James was starving and I was quite hungry too, so we went to Sonic and got lunch, two Slingers and mozzarella sticks. We then went over to Southwest Transmission where James's truck is parked. He wants to take his toolbox home but he did some measuring and realized it was four inches to long to fit in the car. I am a little bit glad because I didn't want the toolbox on top of my groceries.
As we were driving up our road parallel to the field where Luna is, she saw us and began kicking up her hills and racing us to the house. Sometimes she can be so endearing even though she is a spoiled little spitfire!
We are having the MacArthur's over for dinner on Saturday and I bought a lot of food. It is going to be a fiesta feast of Mexican food.
Chicken enchiladas with white sauce, meat mix for burros, refried beans and Chili's conqueso dip with chips, and strawberry brownies and maybe some Rice Krispy treats. I'm also thinking about making some pork green chili.
We finished the book, "As the Shadow Falls" and started the next volume in the series, "The Proud Shall Stumble." Some of the history associated with this story is the terrible depression in Germany after World War I and the devaluation of the Marc. In 1923 the exchange rate was $1 for 4.2 trillion marcs. You couldn't get enough marcs to buy a loaf of bread. You had to use a wheelbarrow to carry your money around.
I paid tithing today and it always feels so good to do that. I also indexed 50 reviews.
