President Henry B. Eyring
Second Counselor in the First Presidency
"For none is acceptable before God, save the meek and lowly
in heart; and if a man be meek and lowly in heart, and confesses by the power of the Holy Ghost that Jesus is the Christ, he must needs have charity; for if he have not charity he is nothing; wherefore he must needs have charity."
The Answer is Jesus
Elder Ryan K. Olsen

The Savior is the Master of simplicity.
President Nelson has said:
"The adversary is clever. For millennia he has been making good look evil and evil look good. His messages tend to be loud, bold, and boastful.
"However, messages from our Heavenly Father are strikingly different. He communicates simply, quietly, and with such stunning plainness that we cannot misunderstand Him."
How grateful we are that God so loved us that He sent His Son.
He is the answer.
100 Favorite Verses - I have finished my course.
2 Timothy 4:7
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.

As I was standing at the kitchen window early this morning I saw the legs of an animal. The first thought that went through my mind was: why is Luna out front when James just went out to feed her. Well, it wasn't Luna, it was an elk, and another elk, and another, and another...80 in all, according to James who went upstairs with his binoculars for the count. I think when we have elk in our field it really makes his day!

I missed a Relief Society activity this morning. It was a class about gardening taught by Mel Wilhelm.

Nice table display

My focus today was on preparing for my Relief Society lesson tomorrow. I did take consistent breaks to walk.

James cooked the rest of the butternut squash today by just baking it in the oven and putting butter, and salt and pepper on it. James is trying to eat more healthy and he is bringing me along with him, sort of.

James didn't feel well this morning so he climbed into his sauna blanket. I told him I thought he wasn't supposed to use it two days in a row but he said he wasn't sure that was what he read. He didn't seem too concerned. After he got out he took a shower and was a new man.

I decided to use the table I brought in from the deck as a desk for James so he doesn't have to work at the dining room table. He really liked the idea and he made the move before the day was over. Here is what it looks like:

It doesn't look like much but it is a step forwards.
This way we are in the same room when we are
working on our computers and there is no more
mess on the dining room table!

I got a call from Stefani Hunsaker this evening about Tanna Conrad. She said Tanna, her little boy, and her boyfriend were in a serious accident on Thursday. Tanna had to have an emergency C-section because the babies life was in danger. She wasn't due until March 30th. The good news is that the baby is okay and so is the little boy, Bradley. The boyfriend, Travis Matthews was air-evacuated to a hospital in Phoenix. He broke his neck and had to have surgery. He may be paralyzed if he makes it.

James and I were both ministers to Tanna and we have known her for awhile. We prayed for her this evening during our family prayer. We don't know how she is doing. We realized that on Thursday when we were re-routed down 3148 that it was Tanna's accident that was blocking traffic.

I realized today that James has totaled three trucks since we have moved to Vernon in 2012. The first time was when he was on the high council in Show Low and he was going to an early morning meeting in a snowstorm. He rounded the curve by the Abrams's house and lost control, went off the road and ran into their fence. He called me to come and pick him up. This was probably in the winter of 2012. Next was about two or three years ago when he was on his way to the valley and his computer shorted out and caused an electrical fire. Now his truck was totaled when he ran over several boulders which fell in front of him. I say the next truck should be an old beat up clunker because it's probably not going to last very long anyway. Sorry, I know that the last two weren't his fault but his track record isn't very good.

James takes red and green vegetable and fruit powder every night before going to bed. The green powder is a different brand than he normally takes and I think it is making him sick. He says it tastes terrible. Now wonder, it has alfalfa in it.

New water container
I like it!
