The Family Proclamation
P4
The first commandment that God gave to Adam and Even pertained to their potential for parenthood as husband and wife. We declare that God's commandment for His children to multiply and replenish the earth remains in force. We further declare that God has commanded that the sacred powers of procreation are to be employed only between man and woman, lawfully wedded as husband and wife.

At 5:18 this morning I saw elk in the yard. James asks if there are any bulls. I check and say no. He stays in bed. As I look out the window I realize that our grass is actually getting green.

Sheri said she won't be coming up. She told Max she would do his traffic course for him and he asked her to take him grocery shopping. She also said she couldn't drive for more than 20 minutes without wanting to go to sleep.

I texted Sheri this morning and ask if maybe Max hated doing finger pokes and shots. She said yes, he did. He thinks getting vitamin D or being outside and thinking positively will cure him. If he had the CGM then you don't have to do finger pokes. Max wore one and hated it. If you wear the pump you don't need to do shots. He won't do the pump. He just really hates this disease.

James came in from feeding Luna this morning and said she had a gash on her neck. He actually put some neosporin on it. Hopefully it won't get infected. No telling how she did it since she goes out of the pasture at night. Hopefully James can get the fence done soon!

Today Vickie and I had lunch with Sandy, David's first wife, and her sister Cindy. We met them at Licano's for lunch. Sandy had told me that she and Cindy were going to be in Show Low and would like to have lunch with Vickie and me. As I soon found out, the only reason they came up was to see us. I had no idea and it made me thankful for their friendship. Sandy and I lived next door to each other for many years and raised our children together. Our kids were best friends and we have so many shared memories!  I have not seen Sandy for over 20 years and neither has Vickie. We had a lot of reminiscing to do. Vickie lived in Chandler for a little over a year next to us and David and Sandy. She loves Sandy. Cindy would come and visit Sandy with her kids and they would come over and play at our house. I don't know her as well as I do Sandy and I think she came to support Sandy so she would not have to come by herself.

Cindy is a couple of years younger than Sandy. She looked really good. She has been divorced and now lives on Flint Street in Chandler. Vickie and I came to the conclusion that she lives in the same apartment complex that my mom lived in when she lived in Chandler. Cindy had on lash extensions and when I told her about Stacy she wanted her number. She was interested in  learning about micro-channeling for her neck. Sandy looked like she had been through a lot both mentally and physically. She has had two knee replacements, back surgery, and shoulder surgery and needs surgery on the other shoulder. She did not look like she felt well but she put on a happy face inspite of her physical ailments.

I told Sandy that the next time they come up they could stay with us. I forgot to tell her that we have stairs in our home. I hope she can handle stairs. She mentioned that she has high toilets in her house because it is so difficult getting up. She may have to use a walker.

Kevin was a topic of conversation. He is going through a difficult time right now plus he turns 50 this year. We talked about grandchildren and shared pictures. We stayed awhile and our waitress was so nice. She told us to stay as long as we wanted.
Sandy looked out the window at the Days Inn and said to me: "Is that where you had your wedding reception." I told her yes, back then it was the Maxwell House. I told her that my grandparents also used to own this restaurant and motel which was called the Paint Pony. The motel is still here and still called the Paint Pony.

On my way home I felt a little guilty because I did not invite Sandy and Cindy out to our place. I honestly had no idea the only reason they came was to see us. I was not really ready for company and James would be surprised. I also needed to spend the afternoon working on my talk. How is that for excuses. I did promise they could stay with us another time. Cindy said, "We will remember that when it gets hot this summer." This time they are staying at the Holiday Inn Express.

This afternoon I finished up my talk and this evening I typed James's talk for him. He is telling about going to Texas and my Easter miracle. I am telling the story about Edward Partridge's reaction after being tarred and feathered.

While I was walking this evening I watched the newest Hallmark movie, "Hearts Down Under" which was filmed mostly in Queensland, Australia, starring Cindy Busby and Tim Ross. Typical Hallmark storyline and happy ending. I liked it. James was at the dining room table studying his talk and doing some indexing.

Scarlett loves snails!

I delivered Lanel's makeup kit
