'Watch Ye Therefore, And Pray Always'
President M. Russell Ballard
Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles
During the past few months I have had the impression come to me that the best way to help the current world situation is for all people to rely more fully upon God and to turn their hearts to Him through sincere prayer. Humbling ourselves and seeking heaven's inspiration to endure or conquer what is before us will be our safest and surest way to move confidently forward through these troubling times.
I invite you to pray always. Pray for your family. Pray for the leaders of nations. Pray for the courageous people who are on the front lines in the current battles against social, environmental, political, and biological plagues that impact all people throughout the world: the rich and the poor, the young and the old.

Restoration Proclamation
P1 S1
We solemnly proclaim that God loves His children in every nation of the world.

Some snow today, not much.

I was up at 2 a.m. to take a muscle relaxer and eat some cereal. At 8 a.m. I took a tramadol and ate some enchiladas. Thank goodness I can still eat!

I managed to get myself ready for my 11:00 doctor's appointment in Show Low. We couldn't get in to see Dr. Moffat until Friday so we took an appointment with a nurse practitioner named Brian for today.

I have high blood pressure, and I need to lose some weight. That was basically what I was told at the beginning of my visit. When I told Dr. Brian (I know he's not a doctor, but that's what I'm calling him) my symptoms he said that it definitely sounded like my sciatic nerve. He gave me a prescription for the same muscle relaxers Chuck gave me and a five day prescription for prednisone. He also gave me an order to go get a back X-ray at the outpatient building next to the hospital.

James dropped me off for my X-ray while he went to get some hot and sour soup and then to pick up my prescriptions at Walmart.
It took me awhile for the X-ray but when I was finished I ended up waiting outside in the cold for James to get back. I told him I needed to go to Walmart for a few things and I wished he had waited to pick up the prescriptions. Oh well, he was only trying to help.

I took one prednisone pill and wow, what a difference. I have minimal pain.

This afternoon my ministering sister Barbara and her sister Vickie brought me dinner. Barbara had made creamy potato and chicken soup. Vickie made rolls and a strawberry cream pie. Everything was delicious and I had a nice visit with these two sweet sisters.

Stacy called today to tell me of her visit to the pain center which helped her with her back pain. She was feeling so good and in such good spirits it almost makes me want to go there.

James is an indexing machine! This is what he does when he has a chance to sit down.

The Howard's have agreed to trade one of Luna's offspring, a filly, for some work James is going to do for them. He will be building them a gate for their property in exchange for the horse. We are excited. She is only two and will need to be broke, but James can break her himself.

I watched a Cindy Busby Hallmark movie I had never seen before called, "Follow Me to Daisy Hill." It was a good one. I also watched her and Ryan Pavey in the second Mr. Darcy movie, "Marrying Mr. Darcy."
