"To Heal The World"
Elder Ronald A. Rasband
Of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles
I witness that Russell M. Nelson is God's living prophet. I testify that Jesus Christ leads and guides this Church. He atoned for our sins, was crucified on a cross, and was resurrected on the third day.
Because of Him, we can live again for all eternity; and those who so desire can be with our Father in Heaven. This truth I proclaim to all the world. I am grateful for the freedom to do so. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

At 5:30 James and I had prayer before he and Greg left for Globe.

Happy Birthday Denise!
Denise said she loved the card we sent!

I started a new book that I listen to while I walk. It is called, "Engaging Emma." It is a modern-day book but is still a romance. So far I really like it.

Kacey and Rita both thanked me for their birthday cards. I am glad that they liked them.

I had a major snack attack this afternoon and had a big bowl of Dill Pickle potato chips. I can't buy these chips anymore as they are highly addictive. No more red licorce either. Not good for my health and they are binge foods.

My project, until I finish, is painting our bedroom. I am very slow and there is lots of taping to do. Don't know how I am going to reach the high ceilings. I hope James has a tall ladder. I may have to have him paint up high. I'm pretty wobbly on a ladder.

It started to rain this evening and was still raining when we went to bed around 11. I am so grateful for the rain.

It's 7:41 and James is still not home. A long day putting in cabinets. He got home a little before 8. After he ate some dinner, took a shower and did a little indexing we watched an episode of our favorite detective show, McBride.

"For God So Loved Us"
Elder Michael T. Ringwood
Of the Seventy
I testify that this year we can learn more about God's plan for us in the Old Testament. That sacred volume teaches the role of prophets in uncertain times and of God's hand in a world that was confused and often contentious. It is also about humble believers who faithfully looked forward to the coming of our Savior, just as we look forward to and prepare for His Second Coming - His long-prophesied, glorious return.

Happy Birthday Kacey!

Up at 5:35. James and I got a laugh out of reading Isaiah chapter 41 this morning. Isaiah 41:14 reads: Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the Lord, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

There is a small a by the word worm so I go to the bottom of the page where it says: IE meek and humble. I guess worms are meek and humble. The word worm still gave us a laugh.

James and I left for town this morning around 10 a.m. Our first stop was at the post office. I mailed a birthday card to Wendy DeWitt whose birthday is on the 22nd. We listened to our book, "A Tenuous Proposal" on the way to town. Our first stop was at Taco Bell. James got a Mexican pizza and I got two supreme tacos. Supreme tacos had sour cream. I'm not sure they were worth the extra calories.
James dropped me off at Walmart while he went over to Lowe's to meet with the woman in charge of cabinet orders. For some reason she wasn't there and the other woman he spoke with didn't have time to meet with him. It figures. Nothing is ever easy these days.

At Walmart I spent the rest of my September budget and was checking out with an actual cashier when James came in. He had already gassed up the car and we were ready to roll. We stopped at Goodwill to drop off our old bedspread, pillow shams, and decorative pillows. James left one behind in the back of the car. We also stopped at Tractor Supply for two bags of horsey feed.

I got a text from FedEx on the way home saying that a package had been delivered. When we drove up our driveway I say a box on the front porch. Our Starlink satellite has arrived! Hello decent internet!
James won't be able to set it up until Thursday. Well, I've waited this long, I suppose I can wait a couple of days longer.

I try to watch The Kids Baking Championship, season 6 but the show is constantly buffering because of our slow internet so I turn it off.

James bought two sticky rat traps and set them out. This evening he went over to Peeler's and picked up a check. I made oatmeal walnut cookies for him to take to Globe tomorrow. He makes me lemon ginger tea. We walk while listening to our book, which we finish.

It's turkey season

"Love, Share, Invite"
Elder Gary E. Stevenson
Of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles
As we love, share, and invite, we take part in that great and glorious work that prepares the earth for the return of its Messiah.
That we may heed the Savior's call and strive to engage in His great commission is my prayer in the name of Jesus the Christ, Amen.

After family prayer James left for Globe with Greg Anderson. He said the cabinet order is not quite right and he needs to stay home tomorrow to meet with the woman he ordered them from at Lowe's.

I finished my audio book "Shadows of Brierly." Now I need to decide on a new one to listen to. I have downloaded several.

"The Great British Baking Show" started it's new season today. I watched it on Netflix.  There were three challenges for the bakers. The first was to make mini-cake sandwiches, the second, a red  velvet cake, and the third and most interesting a cake that looks like the baker's home. I forgot how much I like this show. Some of those cake "homes" were pretty amazing!

Michelle Tesarek emailed the lesson Natalie and I will be teaching in Young Women on the 9th of October. The name of the lesson is: "Why Should Jesus Christ Be Central in My Life?"

We won't be going to see Addy this Saturday as she is going camping. She asked if we could come on October 8th and I said we could, so it's set. I can hardly wait!

To clean my computer up, I deleted the cookies or temporary internet files. I also walked, read, and worked on my blog.

I listened to Emily and Dave on "Don't Miss This."

I watched "Dancing with the Stars" on Disney Plus. It started out to be quite blurry but improved as I got more in to the program. I didn't watch everyone dance but of those I watched I liked Jordan Sparks, Daniel Durant who is deaf, and Wayne Brady, and Charli D'Amelio. Mark Ballas is back on the show and Chari is his partner. Their scores were the highest. The most emotional dance of the evening was Selma Blair who is dancing with Sasha Farber. Selma is a little older and also has MS. When she came out onto the dance floor she was holding a cane. She left it at the side of the floor before she went out to dance. She and ashSa did a waltz and it was beautiful. She got one of the better scores of the night and so many people had tears in their eyes when she finished. It was touching.

Oh yes, I forgot about the Romcom boy, Trevor Donovan. He was a Hallmark star but has gone over to GAC. He is dancing with Emma Slater and they did the quick step. He said he was afraid to dance and did much better than I thought he would.

James and I listened to our audio book and walked together this evening.
