Our gang of elk came by for a visit this morning. Luna doesn't pay much attention to them. I think her mind is on when James is going to come out and feed her.

After prayer and scriptures James left for the Howard's.

As I was working on my blog this morning and eating kettle corn, I noticed something a little sharp on one of my teeth in the front. It was the tooth that Dr. Douglas had patched for me and part of the "patch" came off. This seals the deal. I can't smile and show my teeth until I get it fixed.

I started a new online book today. It is a novel called, "His Lady in Hiding."

I have added a couple of things to my daily schedule. One: Take a carrot to Luna in the morning and Two: Take an apple to Luna in the afternoon.

I cooked some navy beans I found in the pantry today. When I was at Walmart I looked for some pinto beans but there were not any. James loves beans and has been asking for me to cook some. I cooked them today and he loved them. I also made banana nut muffins and was going to make corn muffins but all of the boxes of mix had weevils. I made biscuits instead.

James and I set a date to clean out the pantry, a long overdue chore that we have been putting off. I could do it myself but for some reason James wants to help. First we said this coming Saturday the 25th but then I remembered that Erik and his family will be here so we changed it to May 2nd. It is probably going to be an all day affair.

I had 19 books I couldn't send off this week. This is normally the night that we watch a movie but James had to finish doing taxes so I was left downstairs alone. I decided instead of watching a movie that I would take those 19 books and put them in inventory as Merchant Fulfilled. As I was doing this I was getting discouraged thinking how I would not make nearly as much money as I would if I could send them in as Amazon fulfilled Prime.
After I had done about four or five books I noticed a message posted on the Amazon sellers site. It said that more books could be sent in as of April 18th. I figured it was worth a try to check and see if my books could be sent in. To my amazement all of them could be sent in. I got so excited that I began getting all of the 19 books ready for shipment.

Instead of sending all of the books to California the shipment was split up and I had to send 3 to Illinois and 3 to New Jersey. The other 13 went to California where I normally ship to. Because I had to ship three boxes it took a little longer than normal. I was finished somewhere around 10.

James had finished with his taxes and I asked him if he wanted to watch an episode of "Lark Rise to Candleford." He said yes so we watched an episode and determined that we both really like this show. Thomas and Margaret who have not ever had any children bought a dog. They named her Amelia Cordelia, after Margaret's mother and Thomas's grandmother. They treated the dog with such love and concern. It reminded me of some people I know and their dogs.

We made it to bed before midnight.

The link the accountant sent is the same one that I had already been on to get our stimulus checks. He was no help. James tried to call him back to find out what address was used when we paid our 2018 taxes but again he didn't answer the phone. Anthony says we should get the stimulus money with our social security money but the accountant says no. Stacy says Adam already got his money but they have not. We really could use an extra $2,400 right now.

After our morning prayer and scriptures James left to go to the Howard's. He mentioned that he needed to go to town to get more horse feed. I was surprised because it has been only six days since we went and got two bags. We did some figuring and it seems that Luna is going to cost us $30 a week just for feed. I guess it's kind of like having another kid. She also needs shoes because James has been taking her over some pretty rocky territory on his nightly rides.

I listened to part of "The Lamb of God" this morning while doing my work. I also listened to the "Sunday on Monday Come Follow Me" podcast. The sister who hosts the podcast seems to think that the gathering in Mosiah 1-3 could have been The Feast of the Tabernacles held in the fall after the harvest was in,  as in Old Testament times.

Trina texted me today to ask if we were okay. She asked if we needed money. I told her we were fine but if she was giving away free money I would take some. I didn't actually say that but I almost did.

We went to town this afternoon and spent more money. I returned "Western Civilization" and will get a full refund. I also went to Walmart to pick up my Tramadol prescription and did a little shopping. James went to Home Depot and then we went to O'Reilly's Auto to get oil so James can change the oil in Lexy. Our last stop was Cal Ranch. I insisted on going in to get some steps. I'm glad I did because I got to see the baby chicks.

I hate the fact that James's truck isn't reliable so he used my car for everything. He hauls his tools around in it, and horse feed or whatever else. Poor Lexy has lost her dignity over the years living here in Vernon.

Luna's elk friends came by for a visit this evening before she and James went on their evening trot. She really doesn't seem affected by them one way or another.

Spent the evening studying the gospel.

Thanks to Sheri for posting all of these pictures!

I read an article in Meridian magazine this morning. The title was: "The Parting of My Red Sea" by Lynne P. Christofferson. Lynne and her brother were in Morocco when the airports to Europe began shutting down in March. Because of a friend who was helping them make online reservations and because of their righteousness in keeping their temple covenants and through their prayers, they were able to get home through a "sea of people" who were also waiting to get out of Morocco. They made it out just before the airport closed. It was truly a miracle. Many in the "sea of people" did not make it out.

As James left for the Howard's this morning I offered a prayer for his safety. I am worried about him being on a 16 ft. ladder in the wind. He says he will be careful. What exactly does that mean coming from James Lambson who is known to be quite reckless?

I made the ministering changes we talked about in our presidency meeting. I texted Diana Curtis and asked her to be Sister Beckham's ministering sister. Sister Beckham and her husband just moved here from Gilbert. Diana said she would be happy to be her ministering sister. Diana is such a pleasure to work with. Hopefully her partner will help with this assignment.

I also texted Catherine Halcomb and told her of her new partner, her daughter, Kerri and their assignment to minister to five sisters to whom they are already ministering. Catherine and Kerri are both excited about this new assignment.

Sheri checked on us today regarding the government stimulus check. Kim texted and asked if we needed anything. When I said we were running a little low on toilet paper she offered to bring some up. I told her that wouldn't be necessary but I was grateful for her concern and her willingness to help. We are all concerned about Kim and Brian because they have both been out of work for well over a month.

I opened a large can of bean with bacon soup. Add some crackers and bingo, lunch! James was appreciative when he got home.

I pigged out on ice cream and warm caramel sauce today. I cannot have ice cream in my house unless it is Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches.

Watched "Lark Rise to Candleford" during lunch break and read to James from "Aunt Dimity and the Family Tree."

I cleaned books this afternoon getting ready for another shipment.
The last book I cleaned, "Western Civilization", had a huge sticker covering almost the entire back of the book. It took me about 30 minutes to remove this sticker. When I showed James he said, "I would have just left it on." After removing the sticker I took it to James and said, "This is why I always remove stickers." The book was an instructor's manual and it is against Amazon policy to sell instructor's manuals. It said right on the back, DO NOT SELL.

When I notified the seller, Buck Wild Books, (won't be using him again), the person who emailed me acted like he was angry with his staff for sending the book. I told him about the big sticker covering all of the pertinent information. I never heard back from him.
I will be returning the book for a full refund, including shipping and return shipping.

James spent most of the evening looking for a lien release form online. He finally found what he needed and emailed it to himself. He always seems to have a little crisis.

In other James news, he went on a horsey ride this evening. He really seems to enjoy these nightly trots. I'm glad because Luna needs the exercise after being stuck in her tiny pen all day.

James also found his hearing aid as he was going to bed this evening. It was under the edge of his bed. Yay!!

I studied the Restoration, Inklings, and Come Follow Me this evening. I also finished the audio book by Brad Wilcox, "Because of the Christ on Calvary." It was a good one.
