That they may lay down their weapons of bloodshed, and cease their rebellions.
We left for Globe somewhere between 6:30 and 6:40 this morning after having a family prayer. See you tomorrow Tom. I put his food and water outside by our bedroom door.
James is worried about slow traffic. It's funny that we have seen two live bear in the past couple of weeks and today we saw a dead one lying in the road. The most bears in a row that I have ever seen.
We made it in plenty of time to the Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center in Globe. James's appointment was at 9:00. We were directed to the outpatient waiting area for the cath lab. They too James back right away to prep him. His nurse was Lorraine who had the cutest pink plastic glasses on. James waited for 5 1/2 hours to be called back to have the procedure done. Dr. Memon had some kind of an emergency with a patient whose heart stopped beating.
I went out and got some lunch so I could take some Tramadol. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich from the cafeteria and got a bottle of Smart water. I ate half the sandwich and then got a Hershey with almonds candy bar. I then went back to be with James until they finally came to get him, which was after 2:00.
I went and got a soda in the cafeteria and then went back to the waiting room, which I had all to myself. I charged my phone and took some journal notes. Someone came to get me around 3:40. James had to have two stints put in. One artery was at 80% and the other was at 99% blockage. He was close to having a heart attack.
We sat in the surgery prep room while they were getting an overnight ready for him. They brought him something to eat and then he was transferred to his overnight room. Once he was in his room I went up to the Copper Bistro to get something to eat. I had considered get a room at the Travel Lodge but it would have cost me over $133 and I just didn't want to spend that money. I will just stay in the room with James. His room number is 1104.
I ordered shrimp scampi, and a salad for dinner. I also got a small loaf of brown bread. While I was eating James called and said that Dr. Memon gave him permission to go home this evening. I'm sure glad I didn't get that room at the Travel Lodge!
At first James said they wanted him to stay until 8 p.m. but we were able to leave by 7. I drove him home and we arrived at 9 p.m. It was so good to be home! We will get his prescriptions filled tomorrow.
