Another painful, groggy morning. James went to work at Hipps's after prayer and scriptures.

I got a call from Laura this morning. She had heard that James had been in the hospital and wanted the low-down, so I told her. It was nice to hear from her.

James came home for lunch and we shared my leftover orange chicken and chow mien noodles.

Daryl Johnson is demanding one of his barbershop chairs be replaced because there is a pinhole in it. James ordered him a new one. I think he is just trying to find things to be wrong so he can stall paying us.

I took it easy today, paying some bills, doing a little laundry and making sure the kitchen is clean.

We are going to the temple this evening to see the Tignor's be sealed. Their sealing is at 7:00. We left the house and 6:00 and we were the last guests to arrive. We went up right behind the Skousens.

A Brother Checketts was the sealer and his wife was with him. It was difficult for me to hear him and I think Barbara had a hard time too. Once he asked if he needed to speak louder and Barbara raised her hand. We were facing T-Bo during the sealing. He looked so happy!

After the sealing was complete each couple was invited to come up, one at a time to congratulate the happy couple. When it was our turn Barbara said to me: "Are you on drugs?" I told her, "always."
Apparently several people heard her because afterwards a people said to me, "Are you on drugs?"

These are the ward members who attended the sealing:
Us, Jerry * Millie Scott, Rick & Rosie Lauritzen, Chris & Becky Skousens, Willy & Janna Grombach, Cope & Amy Reynolds, Richard & Cress Miller, Shanna Penrod, Brother Peeler, Bishop & Alicia Hunsaker, Pierce & Susan Goodman, Chuck & Kathy Crane, and Collin & Wendy DeWitt.  Amy & Cope Reynolds were the witnesses.

On the way home we got a couple of Burger King Juniors and then did some shopping at the Taylor Walmart. I am making chili for tomorrow nights benefit dinner for the Johnson family and I need all of the ingredients. We saw the Skousen's, the Grombach's, and the Tignor's while shopping.

It rained on us all the way home. Tom was under the couch out on the deck. I think he was hiding from the thunder. He was so happy when James let him in.

Notes & Quotes
"To David, the cause of God was the most important cause. So, full of faith in a God who would not abandon him, he gathered five smooth stones, took up his sling, and went to face the giant.
The scriptures tell us that the first stone David threw hit Goliath's forehead, ending his life."
