2 Thessalonians 2:8
And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

Alma 26:1-16
12 Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever.

Second Counselor in the Relief Society General Presidency
Relief Society is not limited to a room in a building, a Sunday lesson, an activity, or a presidency at the local or general level. Relief Society is the covenant women of the Church; it is us - each of us and all of us. It is our "global community of compassion and service." Anywhere and everywhere we go, we are always part of Relief Society as we strive to fulfill its divine purpose, which is for women to accomplish God's work in individual as well as collective ways by providing relief: "relief of poverty, relief of illness; relief of doubt, relief of ignorance - relief of all that hinders . . . joy and progress."
Today was an overcast with a little rain. One of my favorite kind of days. It was nice to have scriptures and prayer with James this morning without being rushed.
James left to go ot the Thompson's and I was left home alone. I wasn't feeling great so I took some Tramadol and reclined in the bedroom in front of the TV. My phone rang. It was Janna Grombach. I had just been looking at pictures on Facebook of Janna and Willie's recent trip to Colorado. Janna said she had made a patriotic wreath for us as thanks for teaching her and Willie the temple prep lessons. She asked if she could come over and bring me the wreath. Of course!
I love it!
James and I talked about going to town today after the 4th of July parade and the crowd had dispersed to either the rodeo, or Frontier park or wherever else they are going. He called me and said he was already in town. I guess he was getting ready to leave the Thompson's which is 7-10 miles from our house and realized he was almost out of gas. He went in to town to get gas and asked what I wanted. I wanted a drink from Sonic and he said he would be glad to get it. I was still disappointed. Maybe we can take a drive up on the mountain later. The activities in town are not appealing to me and neither one of us likes crowds, so the further away from town we can get, the better.
I worked on my blog, walked and watched Hallmark Christmas movies. Once in awhile I would head for the kitchen for something to eat. I did do a little cleaning and washed two loads of laundry. James worked on the sprinklers and hooked up the new pump which isn't going off as it should. We finished our book, "Yorkshire Carol." It had a happy ending.
As we said our family prayer this evening we decided we were going to fast for Tanner.
